Awesome video. Almost perfect. I’m a complete rookie and replaced my fuel pump solely off of your video. If you could for future beginners/viewers add a disclaimer in the beginning of this video about opening the gas tank to release pressure. I was following your video to a T and as soon as gas sprayed in my face you remembered to remind the viewers to release pressure. Thank you stay blessed

Thanks for the video. I have a 2017 Kia Forte and check ALL fuses and all good. It cranks over and seems to want to start but doesn't. Do you know if there is a way to check pressure to see if the pump is actually bad?

Bro good video but I seen that there was a break in the video after the car wouldn't start so what did you do because since the video was not complete I'm not complaining about your video but you should show a 100% how you did it because because after the car wouldnt start at 13:18 you paused the video and then restarted it when it was running so what did you have to do if you're gonna make a video about replacing a fuel pump you should show everything that you did just saying

Yes! Well done
Unless if the pump, filter failed, I wouldn’t touch it. Put in a fuel additive 1 or 2 times a year. Seafoam, Sta-bil 360 for ethanol fuel Amber color, or a fuel system cleaner. Seafoam, and Sta-bil 360 will clean the fuel systems.
Symptoms? Mine wont rev but fills up 0.5 liter fuel in a bottle when i turn key 5-7times so guessing thats enough.

Bro, that is a bad idea using ELECTRIC power tools on a gas tank. If you mix gasoline and ethanol fumes with the sparks inside of that impact....BOOM!

Yes just did my 2017 today. Didn’t fix the problem though. Thinking I might have a wiring or fuse problem 🤷🏼♂️
@@Wesboonehat issues were you having with your 2017? Today, three times, mine lost power, not completely, when I was accelerating. There was also a vibration/clicking aspect to it. Just wondering as to possibly save myself time and money. Thanks in advance.

My mechanic wanted 1k to install and fix fuel pump . I believe I was quoted super high. I pulled it out the shop immediately. How much is it usually ? Anyone know ?
My wife ran our 2010 Forte EX out of gas. I put 1/4 tank in it and now it won’t start. I can’t hear the fuel pump engage when I turn the ignition. Can running out of gas cause the fuel pump to crap out? For reference, my wife has a severe problem with driving on empty. I’ve checked fuses and tried all of the tricks but it just won’t start. It cranks and wants to start, but you can tell it’s not getting fuel. Any help would be very appreciated! Great and informative video. It makes this not seem so bad now. Thank you kindly 👍🏼
Have your wife or someone try to start the car while you Check for for power and grounds at the plug that connects to the pump
running on empty frequently destroys fuel pumps.
Fuel is a coolant, more of it in the tank keeps the pump cool and healthy (the fuel actually runs through and out of the pump), less of it will make the pump run harder and hotter, reducing it's lifespan.
So it very well could have been the fuel pump.

I have a 2016 kia forte which the interior looks just like this one. Although, when I was looking for an fuel pump, an electric pump was showing up for my car. Did the pumps change after 2015?
If it is the ex trim with 2.0 liter engine the pump should be the same

I also have the 16 forte 1.8 litre. My issue is that when pumping fuel, it keeps shutting off every like .20 and will spew fuel back out. And ideas? I think the pump is fine but not sure about whats causing the problem.. My OBD2 sensor keeps kicking on as well.. Any help is appreciated..
