Thank you! The fact that I could not find the transmission fluid stick was confusing me. The manual does not explain it but so glad you did. thanks again.
Sir, your content is amazing, clear and concise. I like how you explain things from all angles and in logical order. I am a Canadian/American guy who owns a 2016 kia soul and I've been using your videos to learn how to do this self maintenance on my vehicle. So many other videos are disjointed and frustrating, but yours are perfect for me. You are a great teacher and communicator. Thank you so much for this content.
Hi! I have a 2017 Kia Soul. I was wondering about the power steering. It seems like my car is making an odd noise when I turn. Mostly to the left, but just recently once or twice to the right. But not all the time, so I thought maybe it was power steering fluid, but you said, this car does not have any, so what do you think is wrong with it, possibly if there is no fluid, and how do I fix it?
@@steadyinlove it ended up being somehow connected to the radiator fan that went out! The fan went out at the same time. It was wobbling and hitting something so it was making noises. And when I turned it sounded worse. After fixing the fan, the other noise went away too! Go figure! 😂
i have a 2012 kia soul + 2.0 and my car was recently broke into and the broke my steering column and i got it fixed but 2 days after that the steering column start being hard to turn could it be the power steering or because the steering column was broke
My 2013 kia soul makes a small minimal sound when running snd shakes a little is that normal or do i have an issue it has 44.000 miles i always make sure to maintain it the proper way do my oil changes and everything else
Believe it or not, the issue could be with the alternator or the battery. A faulty alternator or a weak battery can cause the steering wheel to seize up because it operates electrically, not with fluid.
You said this is 2014-2019, i have a 2020, seeing comments say no steering fluid and no transmission dip stick seems like it is the same in a 2020, is this true?
This is an electric power steering system, not an hydraulic power steering system and thus no power steering fluid to worry about. But it is power steering. It works when the engine is ON. If the engine can't turn on, you can still move the steering, it will just be much harder to turn.
Thank you! The fact that I could not find the transmission fluid stick was confusing me. The manual does not explain it but so glad you did. thanks again.
Glad to hear that you found it useful!
Thanks for confirming that there is no power steering fluid in this car. Great work. Much appreciated.
Glad to help!

Nope. Sorry. Not yet atleast

I have the same issue!

Great job

Very good video
Thank you 😊

Hard to say. Especially since things were fixed up. Would have to just take it back to the shop that fixed it and get it looked at by them. Sorry :(
Great video
Thank you! Glad you found it useful!
I'm assuming that if I do ever flush the transmission fluid, I just fill it up, and don't need to measure?
Not sure. Haven't done it on this car myself
My 2013 kia soul makes a small minimal sound when running snd shakes a little is that normal or do i have an issue it has 44.000 miles i always make sure to maintain it the proper way do my oil changes and everything else
Yeah. It's best to get it checked out. That's not normal.
So when my steering stiffens up what do I use to fix that ?
Best to get it checked by a mechanic. Could be any number of issues. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Thank so so much !!' Fantastic
Glad to hear that you found the video helpful!
What if I can’t see no liquid on the coolant box? Kia soul 2020
Well then likely you are low on the coolant. I suggest you Top it up and keep an eye on the coolant level to make sure it doesn't go down regularly.
I have a question. For a 2017 kia soul, if i drain the fluid how do i refill it? If i can
Which fluid?
So there's no power steering fluid, I'm having trouble turning my steering wheel what could be the cause?
Believe it or not, the issue could be with the alternator or the battery. A faulty alternator or a weak battery can cause the steering wheel to seize up because it operates electrically, not with fluid.
That is correct!
I have a Kia Soul 2016. It has about 77,000 miles on it. Is it time to have my transmission flushed.
Drain and fill your transmission fluid and do so on the same interval now, approx 75000 miles and you should be good!
You said this is 2014-2019, i have a 2020, seeing comments say no steering fluid and no transmission dip stick seems like it is the same in a 2020, is this true?
Yes, that is correct. Most newer cars are shifting to a sealed transmission with no dipstick and an electric power steering system.
No power steering fluid, dang the thing sounds and feels like steering a boat.
Yeah, the electric power steering motor can be aggressive in providing assist sometimes and thereby very little steering feel feedback.
So if you can't drive your car and there's no power steering so how do you steer your car when it won't move
This is an electric power steering system, not an hydraulic power steering system and thus no power steering fluid to worry about. But it is power steering. It works when the engine is ON.
If the engine can't turn on, you can still move the steering, it will just be much harder to turn.
The description of your video is misleading it's supposed to be about the transmission repeat transmission
I do mention about the transmission at the end of the video.
