Thanks for making this video. I think the pressure to be more of an extrovert while serving, didn't necessarily come from others for me, but from my own misunderstanding of what is deemed "right" or "valuable". I never understood why I felt so empty and drained being a greeter, working at the welcome desk or trying to lead small groups. I also believe God has given me a gift of writing, but I'm still learning how He wants to use that exactly. This was a good reminder that God knows how He made us, and we shouldn't conform to others' expectations, but to His plan for us alone. - (isfj)

Yes, learning how He wants to use us is a lifelong, daily journey in His presence. If ever we think we have determined exactly what to do from here on out, we're not depending on Him anymore, but leaning on our own understanding. ❤🙏

A misconception is that someone is purely introverted or extroverted, we are all a mix with a preference for one side. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities 😊

It is difficult to find other intjs and even more christian intjs.
I am not very gifted with people, but now I see that I can be something different. Thank you for this video

Thank you for the video. God made you and he loves you just the way you are. Just from listening to how you talk, you are a beautiful and gift person. I serve in my church in the art department, and the cafeteria, I love it.🥰

Went to church today. My INTJ introverted way, just does not fit into the church socialization theme. The service was good for the most part, but after the service was over. I do what i always do. Breezed out the door, with no desire to talk with anyone.

I understand that. As long as you try to be part of the body of Christ somewhere in the way Christ designed you to be. This usually does require some level of community.

thank you for the exhortation. also, i'm glad you found a place to serve- churches seem to value Feelers and Sensors very highly, and thus have many more avenues of involvement and appreciation for them.

because you were kind enough to attach an organ to my comment, i rewatched it and took notes. so your gifts (that you talked about) are teaching and discernment. I know a good metaphor when I hear it, and "liver " is a strong analogy for "person who filters the things said at a Bible Study to strain out untruths". I am fan of abstract language the way most males are fans of sports.
Would you be willing to make a video about any other ways Jesus has fitted you into the church you attend to specifically use your gifts in other ways to serve Him? maybe other introverted Christian NTs will benefit from it!
Keep up the good work, sis!

The thing I struggle most with is wondering if I'm focusing too much inwardly, on my own discomfort, to serve GOD in a manner which is pleasing to HIM......any insight is appreciated. Thanks & GOD bless

    • @cewhite4698

For me, recognizing that what has me looking inward at my own discomfort is not of the Lord. I'm afraid of how people will see me. Emily P Freeman says in her book "The Next Right Thing," “When I walk into a room filled with people, I recognize in myself a tendency to ignore what God thinks of them and obsess over what they are thinking of me.” A few years ago on the way to a conference, I was starting to do this, and it was like the Lord spoke into my anxiety and said, "It's not about you." I walked into that conference more comfortable and more able to reach out to others than I ever have before. Instead of worrying about who might talk to me so I wouldn’t be alone, I was looking for who I could talk to so that they wouldn’t be alone. Another author, Christine Dillon, writes in her book "Sword Fighting," “Once upon a time there was an ordinary girl who grew up to be an ordinary woman…. Her emotions went up and down based on what others thought about her, or even worse, what she thought they thought! ….This meant that she constantly felt uncomfortable in public. She had no spare energy to serve others because she was too busy looking at herself…. Her ministry to others was limited because so much of her emotional energy was directed internally.” Satan wants to keep us self-focused, and he will use whatever he can, whether it is insecurity or pride, to do so. We battle him by taking our eyes off of ourselves and putting them on the Lord.

I can totally relate. I am also a writer, taking a long break right now since I got ripped off by my publisher. I hope to return to writing again one day as God leads me. If you are interested, my first book title is; Devil In The People's House "An Insightful and Revealing Read Exposing Democrat Progressive Liberalism at War with God and the Soul of a Nation" - This book is available on Amazon, and I have 5 video trailers on RUclips, just type in MasterBlogger1 and you should find them. I believe I have many books in me, but I guess I need this long break.
I am contemplating once again to look for a church but totally dread the whole group thing. I have tried repeatedly through the years to fit into these primarily extrovert settings with probably well-meaning people who attempt to place you in their mold. I eventually get sucked into the whole be like me/us thing and then loathe myself for becoming a persona that extroverts want me to be. I know the Bible states "not to deny ourselves the assembly", and I want to please God but I am wary of giving away who God made me be just because I don't fit other's preferences. I am an INTJ and I know for certain that I am far outnumbered in the world. Thank You, for your wonderful video.

INTJ theist, give me a break. Joke of the year. You talking about feelings over facts, you're INFJ at best.

Ok so, just becoz you r an intj doesn't mean you can't be a Christian( isaac newton and martin luther r the greatest example of Christian intj), it's true that there are many atheists intj but there r intjs who belief in God n there will always be a deep reason for that, and I think she is expressing her fi rather than fe
