I have the Ttartisan( not with a s at the end!) 50mm and it is def my most used lens at this moment. Perfect for everything, essp portraits. Love love this lens. I also have their 35mm 1.4. Buy these two and you have it all. There is also a new 17mm 1.4 version and I guess when you have these three you are completely set. And about the lenscaps, who cares, just buy some from Ali express like I did. Amazing lenses for the money. Ttartisan!!!
Ttartisan lenses are some of the best lenses out there. The price is almost a crime because of the image quality you get with them! My favorite is the 35mm 1.4, i have a 35mm summilux and they go toe to toe when it comes to imaye quality. The 50mm is a fantastic bokeh machine for candid portraits and street photography once you get the hang of the thin plane of focus. Very magical products.
I know I’m very late to this thread but thank you so much for your help. You’ve given me some great ideas for a project and saved me some money. TTArtisan here I come.
Happy this video still helps! I love this lens and use it a lot in my video work on the short Docuseries I have been posting lately actually it solely has been shot with TTARTISAN lenses
This is a great comparison. I appreciate it as I’ve ended up looking at both of these as well as the Zeiss Touit 50mm. Ultimately it may come down to the WR from Fuji, (as well as $$) to eliminate the Zeiss. But the TTartisans is very tempting, to see if my eyes can handle MF again. Thank you. Both 😆. That really helps ! Hahaha! 🙏🏻
if i remember correctly I think it does, I just stopped using it while using manual lenses and actually switching to the other manual focus assist methods like the focus box that breaks up plans until they align.

Have the whole trio of TTArtisan lenses - 17/35/50 mm - all nice! Just like back in the old film days…
Nice -trio TTartisan
Very interesting comparison! One the hunt for a 50mm lenses and this video popped up!

Base on the sample photos I like the TTART more...
What about manual focus vs autofocus ? That’s not a con for Ttartisans?
Great sample photos, I ordered the ttartisans lens earlier today. Can’t wait to shoot with it
Thank you, hope you like it!
Excellent video, my brother. Production is outstanding. Good info too.
Thanks Johnnie, glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Can't agree more about focusing by wire... Fujifilm lost me with it !
Does Focus Peaking work with TTartisan lens??
if i remember correctly I think it does, I just stopped using it while using manual lenses and actually switching to the other manual focus assist methods like the focus box that breaks up plans until they align.
@@aefoundry I need to learn how to find that setting (X-T2 & X-T20)! Thanks for that reminder.
is this TTArtisans compatible with Fuji Xt20?
As long as its an xmount then yes
what do you think is the sweetspot on the tt artisan??
Honestly I personally enjoy the lens all round most of the shot you see are pretty much wide open from the ttartisans
I wouldn't by a 1.2 lens if I am not gunna use it there pretty much the whole time.
@@aefoundry thanx
are the sample images all ttartisan? or a mix of both?
First set is ttartisans and the second set is the fuji
@@aefoundry Thank you! My bad. Your video actually makes it pretty clear.
Can it take a filter? I don't see any threads
Yes, it has threads
