The pistol respawns after every save load, since you gave yours to Virginia, you could probably go back for another one for yourself. Makes the cat-dogs easier to deal with.
CatDog is a cartoon back in the 90's and early 2000's which had a cat and a dog connected to each other via their butts.

@GameEdged if you are worried about Kelvin or Virginia wandering off, build chairs and benches for them to sit on.
Right? I've built three bone chairs next to an advanced fire (rocks, and two chops of firewood), and there have been *many* times Kelvin, Virginia, and I were sitting around the fire.
GameEdged not sure this someone mention you need to plant some blue berries due Virginia took some food for it and also maybe it's best to make a dry rack and ask kelvin to fish too :) also I notice Kelvin is tired when you ask him to do something due he scratched his back of his head meaning he needs some rest

Might take her a week, but she'll get back. ;) What I hate, is every time I log in, I get that Laffy Taffy lookin' som'bitch that decides to spawn *IN MY FUCKING BASE* and kicks the ever living shit out of me, *or* makes me expend precious shotgun rounds because Virginia is too damn busy picking aloe for me, even though she's more heavily armed than I am.

GE loving the house looks great, you can put skin pouches on shelves to store them, Cat Dog is the Mutant that is 2 attached side by side Slinky is the Mutant that is 2 attached end to end, People are confusing first game with this one about fire arrows fire arrows are not in SOTF, You can tell Kyle AKA Kelvin to get arrows and he will collect them and bring to you, Great job as always!
Slinky or CatDog work for that one mutant though lol. People probably call it that because it's body shape is similar to the old CatDog cartoon and not because it is the official name. I was thinking CatDog too when I saw its appearance so guilty xD
Cat-Dog was a nickelodeon cartoon. One end was a cat and the other end was a dog. It was actually a children's cartoon.
if you're full of anything that is inside the skin pouch it wont let you open them and it just says full, dump some stuff off on your shelves and you should be able to open them, also you can just store the pouches on the shelves
Make a one log window. The cannibals and mutants won't be able to get in through then. Slinky is back. Run, Kelvin. Run! Don't forget to open the flesh pouches and pick up the one on the ground.
He can't open the skin pouches Bc he doesn't know that if you're full of one of the items inside the skin pouch u can't open it.
GE set out a couple of chairs or benches by your cabin and your fireplace. That way Virginia and kelvin will stay in the area. Thanks for the great videos you put out.
GE, an old farmer once told me, "Any fool can put 2 fence post in a row. But it takes someone GOOD to line up 3 or more straight.
You can use the rope gun by setting up 2 platforms(1 on your base and another of your choosing). Since you need logs, set one near a forest, and use that to travel or transport logs, don't forget to set-up racks for the logs to land on. And you can set up multiple platforms across the island of your choosing as means of quick transportation. Maximize the distance of the rope line... remember it will be twice the distance since you're in the middle when you make a rope line. Hope this helps.

GameEdged, you can go grab another pistol as well from the raft so you have one as well as Virginia.
EDIT - And as others have said; if you want them to stick around the camp make sure to put in seating about the place; then they don't need to head off elsewhere to rest.
EDIT 2 - If you'd stop trying to use the slowest melee weapon you have on the floppy things you'd get hit less often as well.
You should start the search for the Zipline gun, it will help a bunch to get logs to your base.

I wouldn't put things in storage that you don't have a carry limit on.
When you have a full inventory of anything that is in a skin pouch it won't let you open it.
A good feeling in this game: A full shelving unit full of skulls. :D
You really dont need to put items such as Tape and Feathers on your storage shelf because you can basically carry unlimited amounts.
For your gable ends of your house your vertical log needs to be 1/4 logs stacked on top of each other so your horizontal logs can snap to it at every point. Then layer them down from full to 1/4. Hard to explain. Lol
G.E thank you for giving us a few more minutes in each episode. I really enjoy your games but boy do I be rolling laughing at you calling for Virginia, I’m like you got arrows fight while calling her you be running 🏃♂️ all over the place! Lol keep ‘em coming

You can't open skin pouches if your inventory is full of what's in the pouches.

If you remember watching the "cafeteria" video, the one that was Virginia mother split in half and became one of those "worms". Also why aren't you using the traps? The Fly swatter trap and the bone maker trap? Very Very useful traps.

Near the end there when you pretty much placed that log on Kelvin for the fencing, I think the reason he didn't move was because he wanted to stand there and silently plot your "accidental" death by logs, as he stares at you. 😁

If you want to choose which shelf to put certain objects, you can make a wall shelf
CatDog, 90's Nickelodeon cartoon show. 1 baby born half cat and half dog. It only had the front halves and they were conjoined the same way that mutant was hence why people call that one CatDog. It was a very odd cartoon from my very early childhood lol.
so in pretty sure if u build Virginia a bed she will sleep/rest on it but I would put it out front of the house or inside in an easy olace for her an ld kelv to get too..

@GameEdged Virginia was there the hole time if you see your last video when you where talking about how she has been gone she was in the background but you were in the book and must not have seen her, and Kelvin well only fish in rivers the fish also just appear in Kelvin or Virginia's hands hope this helps

Honestly, I don't know what it is about that spot with Virginia down there by the river or inlet or whatever. It's literally the only place I've had any trouble with her. She just likes that spot for whatever reason. Anyway, Shotgun works great on the Flipper. Try getting a food source for Kelvin and Virginia at your base, build a planter and plant some edible berries etc see if that helps her wandering thing.
hi GameEdged, thanks for the videos, love it. you can get the Machete if you follow the beach to red lifeboats on the beach and the Machete is in one of them, really quick weapon to use, I think its the beach were you at, north side of the island. keep up the awesome video's. 💚💯

I think you can burn the big guys by hitting them with a torch so you can collect their bones.
Wonder if you can make a sort of staircase with the spiked walls, starting with 1/4 logs, then 1/2 logs behind that etc. So the mutants run up it, and kill themselves on the way in. Might work if you finish it off with a wall twice as high as the previous spike, so they can't run over it, right into your base if they survive. Great job as always!
Excuse me while I nerd out for a minute, but it might help you to remember his name if you recall that your companion is generally an absolute zero, which is also the name of a temperature that is usually measured in Kelvins.

I go clear the big cave that u find the rope gun in whenever I need armor. 2x full suits of creepy armor from there.
You can also put the bird feathers on the shelves..I think you can put anything on the shelves tbh

G.E I think in last episode I am thinking Virginia was killed near the house I think her head was gone. I think I recognised the flower outfit she was wearing. That might be why she has a bathing suit on again.
I've seen a Vid where this guy built a floating house on a lake which the mutants couldn't get too for the majority of the time because the mutants can't seem... and once built the water also no longer freezes.
and the log zipline make a zipline and go to an area chop a tree then put the logs on the line and they will go down to your camp and fall off if u place the line just right and go into your log bins
if you look on the beach by where you begin there should be a body leaned on a rock there should be another pistol

Try to shorten the log when you are on the roof, while the log is connected.
I wonder if you can set behind or next to palisade walls a 1/2 high wall and roof to walk on so can shoot over the walls ? Like a battlement.
You can tell Kelvin to find the arrows that you shot and bring to you.

When fighting the catdog zap it with you electric bar then you can get 2 hits with axe then do same Again

I've only ever watched you play the game (never played it myself) but I noticed when you brought up your inventory it said "leaf arrow" maybe those you can light on fire???
Why haven't you got the sword and shotgun yet? The sword kills in seconds.

Off-camera, Check if the gun respawned in the life raft. Then you and Virginia can rain bullets on these mutants. Also, I know where the shotgun is, let me know if you want to know its location or you want to explore and find out for yourself. And you can probably use the log holders as a fence as well I think.
for the love of god please put some bracing in downstairs then you can remove some of those vertical logs. Otherwise, great cabin! You tried the small log, the large log, but not the half logs. those are the ones.

catdog lol i guess u mean slincky or larva thats the hardest enemy in the game and he destroys youre base like last episode when he got stuck upstairs xD yeah he is easy as fast u get the stun gun he is one of the weakest enemies with a stun gun to its face and a couple of fast axe chops while he stunned he dies easy but i like to keep him alive he destroys other cannjibals around and muddys
