With out base, we didn't put a gate on our defense wall because the mutants would come right thru the doors. So we put a tower on the outside of the wall and we would zipline from the tower onto our base. It made it so much easier to keep the mutants out. Thank you so much for all the wonderful content. Howdy GE from my understanding If you secure your base Virginia will stay closer more often so walls and traps are a must, she wanders more if she doesnt fell safe at base, You have to separate the bench from the table more so they can path between to sit . Keep the great vids coming im loving them.
You probably have to take Kelvin to the area you shot the arrows. He's not just going to run around the entire island looking for arrows. If the arrows options doesn't come up in the menu, there are no arrows nearby.
Consider a half-log wall with stick spicks. The worm guy clips through the fence anyway, nothing else will jump a half-log palisade wall and the added hedgehog spikes will kill them. Place the spikes inside the palisade, as close to the log wall as possible. When you cut them into spikes they clip through the palisade, because the base of the spike is behind the wall they can't destroy it. Then you can still shoot over the wall. For the worm guy, you need to build a second layer of spikes or a complete second wall like before, roughly 1 and a half logs apart from each other. That will put it close to the length of the worm guy so when he flings himself past the first wall he hits the second line of spikes. This causes his front and back half to take damage, killing him in a few seconds.
Something that impresses the hell out of me, they managed to make Virginia beautiful and graceful. I would not have believed it before, any human with extra limbs would appear grotesque and clumsy.
You have to be within range of where you shot the arrows, he won't go a city block away to grab them. So if ya have him follow you up the hill and THEN ask him to get arrows. If the command appears it means there are some in range.
Yes! That's great using the Zipline to collect/store logs. You can also just "throw" the logs on the racks and they'll arrange themselves in it so that it would be faster. Make a chair for Kelvin to sit/rest on, when he's free from work.

so i have to say i love the building in this game so much i started a new game with no enemies just to play with building. right now im combining a treehouse to regular building and a rope bridge to the treehouse instead of rope. totally loving it
GE did you ever see the exploding wood ziplines in the forest? You should look up a video if not. It was crazy till they patched it. I dont think they will change that trick your doing, its intended. Ziplines have always been the main way to move large amount of logs in the forest.
Try checking your gps and see if Virginia is hanging out around your other save points, like tarp tents, i have a feeling she may use save points as a reference of where to go hangout or visit.
You can actually just throw logs into the holders. You don’t have to even place them. Developer needs to make holders for all size logs. And also bring us the big stick and rock holders back.

I keep hearing that planting berries in containers at the base will help keep Virginia and Kelvin close by as thats what they forage for.

10:59 you could build a stone pathway (it’s in the crafting book) and then start building the walls off the sides of the path

Bonemaker does not use additional resources when you reset them. Also, Kelvin and Virginia just climb over all traps and will not trigger them.

put log holders in front of your fence to zip down logs use the top of fence and a log standing up by the trees or a tree
Virginia prefers to be near water, which is why she doesn't hang out near the base longer and more often.
To use the traps on a gradient,first put down logs as though building a foundation,then pick up and put your trap down

I think you should have placed the bench right next to the wall, there´s not enough space between the bench and the table.
You should be able to hit the dead bodies with the torch to set them on fire and still be able to defend yourself then go back and collect the bones.

The flyswatter trap doesn’t hurt you. The bone maker trap obviously does.

You can actually just throw logs into the holders. You don’t have to even place them. Developer needs to make holders for all size logs. And also bring us the big stick and rock holders back.
Kelvin will chop a tree house down for logs if you tell him to collect for you.
You can throw them at the holders instead of placing them as well.
the roof is in the way of the zipline
When you set a zip line it has to be clear, but you can then put up a wall to stop logs, but you can go right through it.
