The quality of both the audio and video is amazing. When I heard the brief snippets on how these brilliant productions are assembled my jaw almost hit the floor. EVERYTHING, from top to bottom, is first class, unparalleled talent. The musicianship displayed is amazing and professionally guided throughout. The audio/video production crew is second to none. There aren’t enough words to describe the entire group. They "bring it" with every note played and recorded. Their smiles? Genuine. You’d be that happy too if you played in a killer band like HSCC. Keep it coming ladies and gents. I’m a fan for life! 😎🤘

Love the explanation. 2 iPhones-incredible! Absolutely everything about this band is amazing from the professional voices, matching outfits and joy from the three lead singers to the tight band members on their instruments and sound quality is absolutely amazing. I have found no other cover bands that are performing the songs better than the original band. HSCC is exuding fun, hope and joy at a time when we need it most. Darren and HSCC have positively impacted the world more than they realize. From the bottom of my heart thank you for that. Yet another great reason to visit Australia from Canada.

I just discovered HSCC tonight when seeing they had made a cover of one of my favorite songs, and one cover led to another cover....which led to here.
I had actually just viewed the finished production "Boogie Oogie Oogie" video and then saw this "Making Of" video.
Absolutely Amazing what 2 iPhones and a pro mixing set-up can produce. And here I was thinking that maybe the "Boogie Oogie Oogie" video was just a tightly shot video of a live concert and leaving the audience out! Wasn't watching closely enough to realize it was shot in a warehouse.

@@SmakOnContent Not having any musical talent (only the ability to recognize musical talent in others 😉), I never realized how it really sounds "live" to the performers up there, if it isn't being mixed live. I'd always thought those in-ear "monitors" were just the affectation of really picky singers.... Learn something new everyday! Thanks.

I know it is a complex procedure but you make it sound so easy. I was totally surprised when said it was shot on two iPhones. The production is awesome and sound is just incredible. Thank you 🙏🏾 for this behind the scene look and keep the videos coming.
Sincere thanks Keith. Yes, the iPhones do a pretty decent job on videos, with the help of Filmic Pro apps and anamorphic lenses, and gimbals, but the sound is recorded and mixed separately, then synced to the videos. It IS complex but a little more stressful. There’s a bunch of top class artists depending on you to get it right, and it’s not always perfect. I’m very grateful that Darren’s skill as the video editor as well as the audio mixer is right up there.
I loved seeing this, as I’m a huge fan, its so interesting how it all gets put together very clever ! And very talented guys

Now wait a second, I thought these vidéos were shot with standard Nikon or Canon DSLRs ... iPhone ? like iPhone 11 Pro ? I had the pleasure to see Darrens ProducerNerd production process video, but this one is quite interesting indeed ! Great shots, very stable no shaking. Well done !!!
Thank you for your generous comments Don. Yes, we use an iPhone 11Pro Max, and an iPhone 7Plus, each mounted on a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 for that smooth stability.
However, instead of using the native iPhone camera app, we use the Filmic Pro app which allows us to separate the auto focus and ISO, and so much more. We also use anamorphic lenses to give us a wide angle view of the whole band in one frame without having to move a long way back.
this idea of recording with smartphones, when I started my channel, I started with a cell phone, even then I went to 1080p 60 web cameras, now I'm back to using a smartphone, and currently I use LG 8s, the platform is snapdragon 855 and it responds with 4K resolution 60p, but I have decreased it to 1080 60, because my audience prefers 1080, my channel and technical subjects of electronics, I intend to only post in 4k, but this now depends on hardware, as I will need to invest in storage. you are excellent, not only sing or cover, if you notice that you have an excellent support team, as for the costumes too
Thank you AG. 🙏 I shoot in 4K 30fps using a Filmic Pro app, not the native iPhone app. I'm able to do much more with that. RUclips will only release these videos in 1080p anyway, but I find the higher the quality you upload the higher the quality the HD RUclips video will be.

Hi Mike, thanks so much for your comment and question. Darren is the Producernerd, (see his comment above). He has a really great channel and takes you step by step through the whole process with many of the recent songs the HSCC have done. Really worth a watch. SmakOn Content simply captures the videos. Darren edits not only the audio tracks but the vids as well. However, moving forward, we at SmakOn Content will be doing more background videos like the one above.
@@SmakOnContent I was up watching RUclips in bed last night till I fell asleep around 4am. Darren was mixing Maniac... I was fighting sleep to finish seeing the whole video but sleep won that battle with about 15 minutes left in his vid. I can't thank you all enough for the great music and extremely valuable education that is shared about how it's all done. If The HSCC ever tour through Seattle... my wife and I will SO be there. I turned her into a fan today :) And she posted "More Than A Feeling" in her "Song Of The Day" user group facebook.com/groups/881213329029927
All the vids are wonderful, my only small complaint is that the vocals are conistently too low in the mix :(
Thank you for your feedback poynt99. Unfortunately, you’re talking to the wrong guy. SmakOn Content captures the videos for the HSCC, we don’t mix the audio or do any of the musical arrangements. We don’t even edit the official videos, only the background stuff. To talk about the audio, you’d have to speak to the Producernerd.

Thank you for your query @manuelfajardo71 . I use DaVinci Resolve Studio 18. There’s really no right or wrong way, or correct/incorrect way. Good or bad way is subjective. We edit according to the way we would like to present the clip, and hope our subscribers enjoy it, that’s all.

Actually Michael, she didn't. They're good friends and they did greet each other, very warmly. I simply asked her to do a second take of the walk-in.
