    Could you chemical test the head gasket? Results?
    Or did the sealant invalidate this type of testing?

    Coolant levels good. If I have the heat on my engine coolant hot light comes on. If I turn the fans off it goes back to normal. Even with my air turned off tho if its in the hot position it blows out small amounts of hot air, and if in cold position it blows out some cold air. My mechanic said it might need new head gaskets but hes not sure if that is even going to fix the problem. Cars are soooo stressful.

    Would this cause the temp gauge in dash to go way up? I have a 2012 Traverse. Having overheating issue. Replaced the thermostat. Replaced broken radiator cap. Replaced water pump. I did not burp the system. Only topped off with one jug of coolant into radiator. And topped off the reservoir. Now heater isn’t working and still gauge is going way up as of overheating.

    Have 2015 ford taurus no heat. have upper hoses hot but lower hoses cold to radiator dealer wants 2800 to change heater core and coolant flush. Heat comes out at 3000 RPMs is this the correct diagnosis?

    Great job explaining. My 2006 Honda Element and myself thank you. My element just had the cat converter and O2 sensors ripped off, and I don't have a garage. Any new ideas what may be helpful to stop these thieves, other then the same old products everyone is trying to make some money on?

    My 2001 Nissan sentra started both heater hoses had a hole and were leaking so I replaced them. Now my car overheats and I tried burping it yesterday while I was on an incline and the heat did kick on, but that was the only time. I have not had heat since then. It still overheats as well. Once I go like past 5 miles I try burping it like five times. I don’t know what the problem is. There’s nothing leaking now.
    ONLY overheats with the radiator cap on.

    What would the Scope of work be to replace the head gasket?
    Labor time? Parts costs?
    What do you think could have caused this failure?

    Does this channel respond to questions in comments? I left a comment a few days ago in another video about the removal of the left mirror and wanted to know if I could dismantle the mirror to check why it doesn't fold anymore, do I need to replace it with a new one? So far nothing

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  3 года назад

      +Mick Carson Thanks for watching! I was not able to find your comment, but depending on the mirror itself you might be able to take it apart and see what the issue is. We do not recommend this with our mirrors, and taking them apart can easily result in something breaking. We do not have any videos on how to take apart an entire mirror assembly at this time.

    My question is if the you found the heater core clogged and flushed it and you get some heat back why would but not fully and the next step is to replace the radiator? It would be the heater core. lol

    • @niajames8381
      @niajames8381 Год назад

      that's what I was thinking. she already said the car wasn't overheating when driven so why would the radiator have to be replaced instead of the heater core?
