As an American-Argentinian I have to say you described Argentina perfectly, in one word repeated in this video a couple of times, Nostalgia. I travelled, not much, but enough. I left the country, and came back. And as I fly over Buenos Aires, I always cry. It’s an addiction, it’s a type of love hard to understand, it’s the Italian feel, with the French Architecture, it’s everything Europe is and isn’t. It what you hate but need. It’s nostalgic, because no matter how much time you spend away you will always say “don’t cry for me Argentina, the truth is I never left you.” Thanks for the video.
I'm Dutch, living in Amsterdam and I went to Argentina first time in november 1983. Argentina never left me and I never left Argentina, wherever I was, whatever I did. Always when the plane descends over the Rio de la Plata and I see the first little houses of the suburbs of Buenos Aires a little tear wells up in the corner of my eyes. Nostalgia. (I'm afraid you just convinced me to go back😄) Un abrazo.
My wife and I recently booked our flights to Argentina, and it is great to see people I follow are making their videos about Argentina. I can't wait to visit that beautiful country!!
1st gen American-Argentine here! 👋🏽 I have always heard stories about my family back in Argentina and the history. It’s such a beautiful place and people. My grandfather left Argentina in the 60s to find work and better hope for his kids and family he found it in america…I wish to go back, I wish the economy becomes something that people can build with. A Argentine friend of mine always said the best line for the country “Esa pieza está algo suelta, pero la podemos atar con alambre - That piece is a bit loose, but we can tie it with wire.” They find ways to live even in hardship.
Thank you for that perspective, I really think we, as your dad, inherited that trait from all the immigrants that worked so hard here. My grandparents were italians and they've always worked so hard but valued family most of all.
I love the "look" of the video and that style of 'film' graininess and colour pallette. Fabulously atmospheric. Kudos to whoever does the filming and video post production.
Argentina has a cool cultural element. cherish music and delicious food, and your presentation is all melted in one bowl. Ultimately Argentina is my favorite football team also I love messi-10 and wish one day I travel to this amazing country. Good luck Malini. Best wishes for you.
As I said before Angelica, there is something in you which makes you right at home in Mediterranean rooted cultures; Italy, Spain and now Argentina. Somehow, you belong there; Forget London.
My grandmother moved to Argentina in the early 1920s from Serbia. My mother was born in Buenos Aires in 1933 and emigrated to the US in 1946. They got to see Argentina in its glory days. Everything was in abundance. My mother went to an English primary school. Her father worked for Standard Oil and did a lot of work near Salta where they lived for a time. I had hoped to have her visit her home country before she passed but was unable to. I think she would've been depressed how the country appears today.
Hello there, you can still visit Argentina any time you want and, hopefully, get hooked by tango! (by the way, they have a great tango scene in many of the big cities in the US). Yes, Argentina has been in permanent mess since its glory days, but for us tourists it means a few euros or dollars go a veeeeeeeeery looooooong way, as the exchange rate is so good for us. If you plan it right, and depending on how many vacation days you can take (if you're American then maybe you barely get anything, over here in Europe we're blessed with excellent work-life balance) you could visit not only Buenos Aires, but also the super spectacular Iguazu Falls in the border with Brazil and Paraguay, the impressive glaciers in Patagonia and their Welsh villages and the whales' sanctuaries, and the superb vineyards in Mendoza and the Native (Amerindian) parts of Northwestern Argentina.
The peronistas, through the years, since your mother left, turned Argentina into failing a Socialist state. Hopefully Milei can remedy ALL of the damage.
Argentina is a magnificent country and is a perfect blend of Spanish and Italian cultures. I'd wish to go there once I have time. Thanks for showing us this great country!

I enjoyed every second of this video, which captures the nostalgia, essence, and feeling of being in Buenos Aires. The interviews with the locals give the viewers very good insight into the life of everyday people within the city. The cuisine in the city and suburbs look very delicious. Also, it was amazing to see you dance with a local at La Viruta, an iconic milonga!

Perfect timing.😮 One year ago exactly this month of January i spoke to a girl from Argentina in Leeds coach station, she was going London area here in England 😅 Nice girl and very friendly. :)
You raise your craft to pure art, delving into the true essence of cultures, and telling their diverse and often complicated stories with such poetry and flair. Well done!! 🎉
Hi Malini, thank you for sharring this with us. As mentioned in the comments by others, you have a natrual born talent for this and I will not be surprised to see you on commercial TV
This was so well put together, Malini. I am in Buenos Aires for 3 months and this made my heart even happier. The people, culture, and history are just incredible. Also, Rosetta Stone sounds a lot more helpful than what I'm using lol
Buenos Aires looks absolutely superb. Your documentary has done a great job of showing all vibe, culture and passion of the Argentine people. I would definitely like to visit.
Wonderful Malini it's really nice video about u have showed us in this episode in Argentina, although the video is short but it has a lot of information and culture .
Its a such beautiful video, you did a really good job characterizing the Argentine culture and specially asado and all its cuts. Racing is the most cursed team you could go see.
Always quality content - such a treat! Beauty, brains, infinite curiosity = Malini is the best travel journalist on RUclips. Love coming along on your adventures - so fun, bringing the best of each culture, and I always learn something new! (Really enjoyed the tango performances! And that bbq...my lord that's wild.) You never fail to engage the locals, and that puts you above most. P.S. Madonna won the Golden Globe, not Oscar, for Evita.
Great video, as always Malini! You eat with so much pleasure, you remind me of a TV celebrity chef from the early 70s called the Galloping Gourmet! Love it!
The way you explain the things is really impressive. It looks like a feature beautifully written, and then it is explained by you for the audience. I have taken the idea and have started to establish a RUclips like this to cover different places and cultures.
malini! ¡Siento que volví allí! i will subscribe for more!
Hey Malini Angelica, my name is Miguel, and I am from Argentina, residing in the USA for 55 years and thinking about going back, let me assure you, this is the best video I've seen so far about Argentina thank you so much and greetings from San Antonio TX, thanks kiddo
Thank you for showing the beauty of Buenos Aires and sharing with the world a little of our culture in these hard times that the country is going through. Beautiful video.
Interesting video! Some old private houses were converted into apartments by assigning one room for each family. Each bedroom was turned into an apartment. These buildings are called conventillos (not cometillos).
Hello Angelica! Welcome to the Argentina. I hope you like our customs and food ;-) Thank you very much for spreading part of our culture. A big hug from Mar del Plata, Arg.
Hi, Angelica: I recently subscribed to your channel and have thoroughly enjoyed your content! In addition, I used your link for Rosetta Stone! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos of your travels, as they are very captivating, interesting, informative and well produced. Bravo on a job well done! Thank you for your content.
Very good overview. Well done! It would have been nice to mention other things like the country's recent world cup win, Lionel Messi and Daniel Pasarella when you talked about soccer as these are topics that most of the rest of the world connect Argentina with. A national icon like Maradona was only mentioned in passing by pure coincidence. We'd also like to see you ride on a bus or pay for food in the local currency, show the notes/coins and tell us the value, enquire about local beer names (even if you don't drink), ask about religious life, dating culture, interview both teens and retirees, ask what's changing about life in the country that they wish wasn't, etc. The food and Argentine beef and Italian influence were very commendable mentions though. Good work!
Being Argentinian means working hard and getting consistently screwed by the government. But a great video showing how Argentinians found a way to enjoy life through art and culture despite the tragic economic situation
I agree the government part, but the "working hard" is not very true when compared to other countries/places... From what I have observed the workers love their many paid holidays, syndicates, and government subsidies... Also, things take forever to get done, even simple things that should take an hour or 2 could take days...
Hmm, that sounds much like the shared experiences of many europeans, such as My papa, that left Portugal and Spain in the first decade of the 20th century and landed in the United States. I am eagerly looking forward to experiencing Argentina's culture.
I’m impressed. This is a really good video that captures the culture very well. I’m surprised that you went into those neighborhoods that are often left out.
Stayed in Buenos Aires before for a month in Palermo, lovely city! I remember the lovely architecture, high ceilings with fans, really nice!👍It's a different vibe really to anywhere, glad to have been there! Enjoy your travelling!🏟

This was so well put together, Malini. I am in Buenos Aires for 3 months and this made my heart even happier. The people, culture, and history are just incredible. Also, Rosetta Stone sounds a lot more helpful than what I'm using lol
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes you should give Rosetta Stone a go, it’s brilliant!

Its a such beautiful video, you did a really good job characterizing the Argentine culture and specially asado and all its cuts. Racing is the most cursed team you could go see.
Muchas gracias! Angelica ! Excelente video .! Como Argentino ? Sos bienvenida!
Thank you 🙏🤍
Always quality content - such a treat!
Thank you babe! So glad you enjoy the videos, and take the time to comment. Also thanks for the correction!! 🤍🤍
@@maliniangelica1 ❤❤❤
Great video, as always Malini! You eat with so much pleasure, you remind me of a TV celebrity chef from the early 70s called the Galloping Gourmet! Love it!
The way you explain the things is really impressive. It looks like a feature beautifully written, and then it is explained by you for the audience. I have taken the idea and have started to establish a RUclips like this to cover different places and cultures.
Really wonderful! Such a quality production here and your interview skills are conversational and warm just excellent. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏
Awesome video! You are the best in showing the real spirit of every country you visited. Vamos Boca!🇦🇷

In love with your work since the very fisrt minute. Felicitaciones!
Wow, thank you!
Interesting video!
Some old private houses were converted into apartments by assigning one room for each family. Each bedroom was turned into an apartment. These buildings are called conventillos (not cometillos).
Thanks for sharing!
Hello Angelica! Welcome to the Argentina. I hope you like our customs and food ;-) Thank you very much for spreading part of our culture. A big hug from Mar del Plata, Arg.
Thank you! 😃
Where's that?
Hi, Angelica: I recently subscribed to your channel and have thoroughly enjoyed your content! In addition, I used your link for Rosetta Stone! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos of your travels, as they are very captivating, interesting, informative and well produced. Bravo on a job well done! Thank you for your content.
Awesome! Thank you!
Good work!
Thanks!
This channel is soo artistic.
Amazing work, no doubt. You are great Malini Angelica.
Thank you so much!
Wonderful blog I ever seen in my life.
Sending love and hugs from India 🇮🇳 ❤🤗
Used your Rosetta Stone link - really enjoying your videos Malini.
Awesome! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stayed in Buenos Aires before for a month in Palermo, lovely city! I remember the lovely architecture, high ceilings with fans, really nice!👍It's a different vibe really to anywhere, glad to have been there! Enjoy your travelling!🏟
Thanks for sharing!
THIS VIDEO IS USEFULL...YOU ARE DOING GOOD WORK..HAVE A NICE DAY.
Thank you so much your video,Happy New Year2024,May be peaceful all the Argentina people, animals and birds from Myanmar.❤
Happy new year!
