    Pastor we can only learn by repetition. I come with a lot of wrong doctrine in my mind and only by drilling this day in and day out can my mind be renewed. I ask you, teach no other doctrine. Repetition is what we need. I’m thankful that I’m seeing the same message in different angles. I really enjoy your style of teaching. You stay focus on what we really need to know for combat. You don’t go on long tangents. You deliver the message straight forward without fluff. Thanks Pastor David.

    I believe there is a difference in remission and redemption. If you notice Peter, etc never talk about having redemption currently. They are waiting on their redemption but we already have it. Their redemption comes at the 2nd coming.

    God didn't tell Paul that He wasn't going to take away the thorn. He told him, "My grace is sufficient." Then notice how Paul's understanding of Grace changed his tone from "whoa is me" to "I can do all things in Christ." Grace was all he ever needed. Grace is all any of us ever need. Romans 5:17 and to those of us who receive the ABUNDANCE OF GRACE are the ones who reign in life. Paul wasn't told NO by God, he was told how to reign in life. And God didn't give Paul this messenger of Satan. Satan gave Paul this thorn.
    Healing is a promise to those who believe. It isn't something we should ask God for, its something we should trust Him form.
    When Paul saw the man who had faith for healing, what was Paul preaching that caused the man to have faith for healing? Acts 14:7 he was preaching the Gospel. Oh how that Gospel has changed over the years.
    By His stripes we are already healed. God has already done His part, and as in all aspects of SALVATION we receive it by faith: by believing it. We don't command God to heal us. We command the healing (our right as Christians) to come. Jesus deserves every healing and blessing, and we are IN CHRIST. As He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17 Jesus isn't sick or impoverished.
    We are redeemed from the curse of the law. Take a look at Deuteronomy chapter 28. Sickness is part of the curses under the law. The law isn't a curse, as so many Christians believe. The curse for not keeping the law perfectly is the curse.
    I have great appreciation for all your teaching, but in this one area of healing, you truly lake understanding. I'm not sure what your understanding of GRACE is, either, but it is the one thing that put me into a personal revival that has lasted over a decade now.
    I just wish people would stop teaching others to NOT BELIEVE in healing (or any part of SALVATION) and to just give in to the enemy's attacks as if it must be God's will. The enemy comes to kill steal and destroy, Not our loving Father. Resist the devil...don't give in to him.
    Romans 8:11 the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will quicken our MORTAL body.
    Healing is a promise. Signs and wonders are not promised, but healing is. That's why Paul stopped doing signs and wonders over the years, but up till the end (Acts 28), he was still healing in Christ's name.
    I wish you a more in depth study on healing, not from your own perspective but from the perspective of those who do believe. Find out how they view it and why. We can't just go in and heal people whenever we want. "He could NOT DO many signs and wonders there BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF, save heal a few." It takes faith, you either believe it or you don't, but don't teach that no one should believe it.

    Nice I liked how he unpackaged the difference bw the two gospels :) God bless you ans thank you for this video
    Clarifying this helps , but does it change the status of someone from being saved to not being saved ????
    We are all saved if we truly believe in Jesus as our saviour and that is Faith + Fruits of spirit
    This shall save us ALL , shall it not ?
    I always wonder why are we all so distracted by these little details of baptism by water while one spiritually is already is also baptized!?
    All these distracts us from who Jesus wants us to be and behave and live our lives on this earth !!! No matter what
    We shall not forget what the message of the word is? And that is to LOVE one another and develop a strong relationship through renewal of our minds with the Word with God and glorify him by preaching/ sharing his message with ALL not by just words but by Who we become under God’s Grace :)

    2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
    The current Word of Faith church I attend believe that this verse allows us in the body of Christ to claim all the healing and financial prosperity promises to Israel now. What should be the correct way to understand what the Apostle Paul is telling us in this verse? Thanks.

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  3 года назад

      It is obvious that the body of Christ today has no ability to claim either healing or financial prosperity. This is proven by the fact that members of your church get sick, die, and are not all millionaires.
      The promises referred to in 2Cor 1:20 are not Israel's earthly blessings but the body of Christ's spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Eph 1:3).

      @@ColumbusBibleChurch Thanks, I certainly agree with you.
      I am trying to figure out how to get around the word "all". Is there a way to show, in context, that Paul only meant spiritual blessings but not Israel's physical blessings when he used the word all in 2 Cor 1:20?

    Dave, it is my belief that when Jesus said to the 11, "go into all the world", Jesus was talking about going to the Jews only to establish the kingdom, just as in the gospels. And that the Gentiles would have to go through Israel. Your quick thoughts, please.

    At 3 … can’t be exact same content they were speaking to two different people groups. They both had to believe in Jesus, who he was and what he did…for the atonement of our sin state. Thank God the simplicity of Christ’s salvation. It is belief from the heart. Thief in the cross…but Paul also baptized some didn’t he? Today the only thing to be saved is summarized in 1 Cor 15:1-4. Amen.

    I am a year late, question: Peter in Acts 10:43 was amazed when the gentiles were saved and received the Holy Spirit without baptism. Nevertheless, could Peter's following action to baptize with water be a ritualistic behavior even though he preached to Cornelius's household faith in Christ for remission of sins?

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  3 года назад

      It seems to us that Peter was practicing water baptism, which is what he knew to do under the kingdom gospel.

    • @randsollie7921
      @randsollie7921 2 года назад

      Peter learned something in Acts 10 that he didn't know previously: that Gentiles could be saved. And if you look in Acts 11 where he was telling his buddies what had happened, he remembers what Christ said about baptism in Acts 11:16.
      Then years later in Acts 15:11 which is years after Paul came on the scene, Peter says now that the Jews are saved even as the Gentiles are saved. In Acts 11 he tells the Jews that the Gentiles are saved just like the Jews are saved. But before it's all over, he says the Jews are saved just like the Gentiles are saved. And that is in regard to the laws of Moses. Gentiles had no laws of Moses, and now the Jews can be saved without regard to those laws.

    So let me understand this, Jews under the Kingdom ( Acts 2:38 ) would not receive full salvation until the day of refreshing . ? When they die, do they still go to Abraham's Bosom of some intermediator y state ?? Pauls Gospel Brings , Immediate Salvation, Propitiation, thus guaranteeing entrance into heaven upon physical death or rapture . For those Jews ?Saved at Pentecost , did they have an opportunity to believe Paul's Gospel at a later date. Did Peters Gospel expire at the fall of Jerusalem 70ad.

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  4 года назад +1

      Saints under the kingdom program are saved but still await the blotting out of sins at the Second Coming. People who die believing the kingdom gospel go to Abraham's bosom. Those who believed the kingdom gospel would not subsequently become part of the body of Christ because the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (Rom 11:29). In other words, they remain part of the God's earthly program to which they were originally called. Over the course of the book of Acts, the kingdom program declines. At the close of the book of Acts, the kingdom program is fully set aside and then will resume again after the Rapture. Hope this helps.

    I've learned that the difficulty explaining the difference between Peter and Paul are some people in their mind think that it means people are saved in different ways, meaning another way other than the grace of God. I don't think that is necessarily the right answer. What was different was the terms or how to receive salvation. Since God is the Savior in all dispensations. The Old Testament points towards the cross and the Lord Jesus Christ's works and the New Testament points back to it. Then people want to say the death, burial, and resurrection were not the mystery. Which there is truth there, that it isn't the mystery. Just because the disciples didn't understand Jesus Christ by what he meant by it, doesn't mean it was not prophesied. Lack of understanding doesn't make something a mystery. However, from my understanding so far, it is the spiritual aspect of the death, burial, and resurrection that was the mystery.
    1 Corinthians 2:7-8(KJV)"7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
    8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
    Peter talks about works being involved. Paul talks about we simply believe or put our faith in Christ and that is apart from any works required. However, salvation the way we are saved today, Peter did not understand that, nor was it known until Paul. However, I understand a lot of people confuse what 'salvation' means a lot of the times. Some will try to say nobody was ever justified under the law, however that isn't entirely true if we even consider Paul as an example.
    Phillipians 3:4-7(KJV)"4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
    5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
    6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
    7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ."
    It was because during the Old Testament, that was how you got right with God by keeping the law and doing the sacrifices. Which I understand Paul was found blameless, but not perfect. Only person perfect under the law was Jesus Christ. So I understand that being justified did not necessarily mean you were saved in the Old Testament. Israel's salvation is a future event. Our salvation is a current possession. A lot of people tend to want to make salvation always to mean going to heaven all the time in scripture. Which is not always the case. Works never saved anybody. Only God does the saving. However, your works in the Old Testament could have you justified in the eyes of God. However, nobody knew for certain how much works was necessary to determine whether they went to the torment side or the paradise side. The sacrifices only covered sin, but they could not take away.
    Hebrews 10:4(KJV)"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."
    However, the blood of Christ can take away sin.
    Hebrews 10:10(KJV)"10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

      You make some interesting points, though I'm not sure what you are really getting at. People at all times in history can only be saved by God's grace and by the faith of that individual, but works were necessary to show/prove their faith. Just like baptism in Mk 16:16 and Acts 2:38 were required. And without it you could not be saved. That's what Mk 16:16 plainly says. Yes, God did deal with people in different ways for them to show there faith. For Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Peter, there was different instructions to follow/believe by faith to please God. Do you agree?
      Another point you made is that the OT points to the cross. I don't believe the OT believers knew it was the cross. We can only say that is if we read the future we know now back into the OT. Using Abraham as an example, he knew nothing of the cross and there was no clear prophecy for him to read telling of the death burial and resurrection. For that matter the 12 after being told multiple times and seeing Christ die didn't even believe He rose AFTER He rose. So looking forward to the cross - could not have been the case. Your thoughts.

    Would like to correct you a little bit on this subject, brother.
    And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
    Matthew 27:51-53 KJV
    If it should be noticed, these individuals didn't come up from their graves until AFTER Jesus' resurrection. The veil rending, the earthquake, the sun darkened (possible total solar eclipse at the time) happened at the time of Jesus' death. The graves opening happened after Jesus' resurrection which was more than 3 days later.
    I've studied this subject in depth more recently, as I feel there may be a connection here as to the identity of the 144,000. Consider their unique qualifications given in Revelation. Consider what Paul said about the order of Resurrections in 1 Corinthians 15. Key thought in this, is the word "firstfruits." No man on earth in the age of Grace nor the age before the end of Tribulations can fit the qualifications of those 12,000x12, unless perhaps the slain during the childhood of Jesus, all men, all without guile, all virgins, all from the 12 tribes.
    I've also considered what the type/quality of resurrected bodies would be, especially of a group that is intended to enter the Millineal Kingdom. I know the fundamental church claims they all died natural deaths after this resurrection, essentially being given another chance at mortal life and then dying once again. Nothing in the Bible hints at such nonsense. In fact, next to nothing is said about this bunch that were resurrected after Jesus was resurrected. Yet I know ANY Saint that receives a raising from the dead based on Jesus being raised from the dead, doesn't come up as the same condition they went down. The subject of "resurrections" is dealt with in depth by Paul in 1Cor. 15. John said in Rev. 20:4-6 who was raised under the heading "1st resurrection" in that context. Daniel also speaks of a resurrection in Daniel 12 (same event as Ezekiel foretold).
