In this video, I attempted to Speedrun Viewer suggested Speedruns and Challenges for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. As a seasoned speedrunner of Zelda games, I thought I could handle it. I got to showcase some awesome glitches, skips, and sequence breaks to attain a bunch of new Majora's Mask world records. These Majora's Mask Challenges were not exactly categories like Any% or 100%, but they were all at least kinda fun.

I demand a formal, handwritten apology for your implication that JoSTaD and Dip the Monkey in the Soup are awful categories.
When I was a little kid, I loved goofing off and doing stuff like this. Obviously without the glitches and trying to go fast. But I would watch the monkey get dipped or march with the chickens on the regular. One of my favorite things to do was to use the Bremen Mask in the graveyard and get as many of the skeletons to follow me around (they dont actually march, they are just trying to attack Link) and I would see if I could continuously march through the graveyard without taking damage from skeletons or crows.
Ah the silly mini games we make up as kids, in my case because I couldn't complete Stone Tower Temple
Just vibing in Clock Town was my absolute shit as a kid. And the marching chickens, everyone loves the marching chickens. 🐥 ❤

Genuine question how are these "world record speedruns" if you always start with bombs, masks, ocarina etc.?
Most categories of Majoras Mask speed runs start with a premade "race file" that has first cycle completed already. Everyone still starts from the same place and first cycle has so much waiting around involved that speedrunners voted for it. Some more in depth categories don't allow it but for any 'extension' categories like these would be considered make use of it.
I think All owls would be a fun category tbh
Another idea: kill Biggoron%. Where you have to make Biggoron pass out and fall off the cliff in Snowhead.
Also, I'd like to have an official ruling to change the name of Dip the Monkey in the Soup% to Monkey Oreo%.
Honestly these look like they'd be a pretty fun bingo card set for you and other ZSRs to race against with

@@dominicbonogofski that's what I thought. That ought to be a pain for the run, especially considering that you need to do the minigame at least twice. Once for the mask, the 2nd time for a chance at the hug

when you roll into a damage source while holding slightly outside of neutral you can do a “hyper extended super slide”. if you continue holding target the game will crash

Repeat steps 2-3 until everything possible is collected.
then 1 final moon warp to save everything collected.
No collecting items outside of their regular location (No GIM, No chest SRM)
