This week we have a new PS5 system software update that doesn't have themes, folders, or a web browser. BUT, it does have Community Game Help! And this week we also got Stellar Blade reviews, and it's been received very well so far. But what's NOT been well received, is the news that LittleBigPlanet 3 is staying offline, indefinitely. Which is not just a tragedy, but a complete failure on Sony's part to not sunset the game properly. Elsewhere in the week we have rumors of a Paramount acquisition, another PS Plus licensing issue for Fallout 4, and a lost PS4 exclusive that might still be alive. Looks like there's hope out there. What for, I'm not entirely sure. But it's out there. Staring back at me.

I hope media molecule does something on the level of LBP. People have forgotten that they can make some of the most unique games out there. It’s time they remind everyone
Why do people act as if Dreams does not exist? Its their best game and their most unique game by far.
MM doing another LBP would be a major step back. Your average Joe can make a game like LBP in Dreams and more.

Game Help is actually pretty cool. I hate watching videos with filler and Websites specifically IGN, pretty much 80% ads. You’ll scroll down to what you need and an Ads reloads the website putting you back in the top, it’s really annoying.

wow and that platinum took some work!! i remember being over the moon as a teen when i finally got the LBP platinum 😂
Funny, LBP was the first game I watched the list of and thought "not gonna happen". It's a healthy method and relieving feeling; Warhawk, Resistance 2, TLOU1, Rayman Legends and many others are hopelessly difficult or long to Platinum. Giving up is tough and sucks, but not even trying feels better if you see it beforehand.

Obviously, since they were already on the chopping block. The same thing goes for Bend Studio, but I could see a scenario where Sony Bend becomes a support studio, if their next game flops. That being said, I hope both of them release successful games

@@vincevirtua It sold, but it received mixed reviews on Metacritic. Days Gone is sitting at 71 on Metacritic. The last time a PS first party game got a score that low, the studio was shut down. If Sony was happy with Days Gone, Bend Studio would be making Days Gone 2 instead of a new game
Hope to god they will be. Worst PS studio by a colossal margin.
Sony acquiring Paramount gives them Indiana Jones (ironically. EDIT: Indiana jones was DISTRIBUTED by Paramount, not owned, as that is a Disney property. Thank you to those that pointed this out), as well as Star Trek, Godfather, Titanic, Mission Impossible, etc. This is a very strong IP portfolio, and a very competent production institution.
This could be a new era of video-game/film crossovers.

@@mikeclark4480 Absolutely. But perhaps not a single save-the-universe storyline which is so common among videogames. Star trek tends not to excel at these (IMO).
But a series of smaller stories that do world/character building, and add up to something grand.

Have you seen what Sony has done with their Spiderman IP's......?? 😂😂😂 First venom was good, 2nd was meh, Morbius was horrendous, Madame Web was the same, Kraven looks very bad aswell. Cant trust Sony if they get Paramount and their IP's, but games, lets see what happens
Stellar Blade is a good one, I find the story to be interesting, combat enjoyable, and I haven't minded the platforming personally. Exploration is great as well, good graphics, great performance
Pity they bent the knee and made changes to some of the costumes with the day one patch 👎

@@B-U-T-C-H-E-R covered up a few of them but adding extra layers I heard, but luckily I ordered the disc version as always so will play the uncensored version straight of the disc no day one update 👍

Idk about that. I’d put combat on equal footing. NieRs combat is extremely deep with its abilities, plug in chip loadouts and FLUID AF weapon combinations. Stellar blade is just below that in most cases but the difficulty makes it equal. Story wise yea no one can replicate what Yoko Taro wrote

@@LeoDragoGRNier became too easy by Route C because its too easy to get over leveled. 9s was not fun to play as becuase of no heavy attack and his hacking ability broke the flow of combat. Stupid Dark Souls death mechanic were you loose your chips and have to manually put them back together.

How about expanding the “Explore” functionality to places on the Planet other than NA? That would be nice, even before themes.
That grind patent would be a beautiful thing. These remasters of RPGs that don’t have a fast forward feature are such a pain. I would love being able to grind out levels with a program.
Why don't you just play rpgs that don't require much grinding? If they implement that patent its gonna be used as a way to pay for the game to play itself. You could just watch the game online or pay a real person to do it.
@@altonb.1396 I’m a sucker for the classics. I don’t mind grinding but I just picked up Grandia HD and not having some kind of fast forward option seems strange when most remasters feature one. I love Grandia and I have no problem playing it but it’s like my 3rd time going through so having some kind of option to just grind out weapon and magic levels quicker would make it so good.

They still haven't fixed the disconnections with the Pulse Elite headset.
Yeah I skipped the pulse elite and bought a headset from Razer (they tend to have good bass). Hope they eventually fix that issue but i dont know if this would be possible via patch. Maybe its hardware related.

Modern games already dont have trophies based on difficulty. Now everyone and their mom has planitum on every game

Everyone accepts that it's just a mistake, as Ryan said in the video, and it's obviously best to remove something so simple just to avoid potentially offending someone. I'm not American and I am very familiar with the racist connations behind "hard R". It's got nothing to do with paranoia, grasping at straws or expecting others to be aware of their culture

Other than what Sony outlined, the only other change I noticed in this update was that the Pulse 3D headset (and probably other wireless headsets) has its own defined box under the Accessories tab.
literally nothing in a game should be censored. if you can't handle what it has to offer, don't play it. begs the question why ratings even exist if a M game is still censored.
The same Fallout 4 issue is also present in RE7. Where I can't upgrade RE7 to ps5 version cus I claim it on Ps Plus essential 😢

After the video ended, an advertisement for Paramount+ ironically played on my device. It was the long version of different live and animated characters trapped on Paramount Mountain. I truly think the phone was listening to the video content and decided this ad was for me.

The auto grind thing could really ruin part of what makes trophy hunting special, like it or not trophies should be sort of difficult to get, otherwise they wouldn't mean anything, grinding is its own kind of difficult and yes it is very boring when a game has a lot of it but in the end you get a trophy saying that you did it because you poured patience and time into it.
Most modern games already dont have trophies based on difficulty. You can just look up a guide for any trophy. So the whole trophy thing is pointless

The Community Help option was NOT activated for my PS5 after the update. Prob bc I live outside the US ??
For some reason my dual-sense edge controller is not performing as it should and is buggy after update . What have they done ? Certain games I can’t even start when pressing x or R 3 buttons . It s never happened before . I have reset the controller few times . Sometimes It’s working sometimes not .

You know that word that you hear in american "gangster rap" that starts with N and ends with an A, and has a double G and an I in there?
Well, saying it with a "hard R" - as in, putting an ER at the end instead of an A - kinda changes the meaning in a way (that i don't fully understand)

Thats really sad about Little Big Planet 3 I liked that one. Hopefully this means we might get a remaster of 1 through 3 in the future to make up for it
I am sure they will make a new version of LBP for PS5 that is why they are retaining all the old levels.
Yeah the licensing issue is crazy. Same thing happened with Resident Evil 7, I claimed it through PS Plus and I had to buy it again to get the free PS5 upgrade. It’s definitely gotta be a PlayStation thing. Luckily since I had this happen before with RE7 I bought Fallout 4 and the season pass while they were on sale
Shame about what happened with Little Big Planet, but also to those people that got locked out of their platinum. Devs should either have some update that triggers the online trophies when the game is taken offline or (crazy suggestion) don't include freaking multi-player trophies since all games eventually will be taken offline at some point.

I really enjoy your content and always tune in when there's something new, but over the past year, I've noticed a change in the way you pronounce words that start with a 'P'. Did you happen to switch microphones recently? I'm not sure if I'm the only one hearing this, but it's been quite noticeable to me, and it's been bothering me a bit as I hear it consistently.
Haha! I was thinking about mentioning this but genuinely thought nobody else would notice or care. I think the audio might be over-compressed maybe(?). Some mouth noises and consonants seem very loud and I think it's called plosives. Misophonic victims like us just can't ignore it.
I was a serious LBP creator too, and was very involved in the community back then so I lost a lot of stuff and a lot of my community favorites are gone too. RIP to some real history. I'll always remember at least.
Not sure if you're gonna do an update about this, but Bethesda has clarified that the PS+ Collection SKU for Fallout 4 will specifically not get the free upgrade, but the PS+ Extra SKU will.

@@LCJammer you have the option to not update the game with physical and digital games but if you buy a digital game you are forced to play on the latest patch
It’s also less responsive when it comes to parrying/blocking than the patched build. And no new game+
Actually in the uk at least the outfits are already comes with the patch on disc which is ridiculous lying bastards they knew it will be censored :/ Maybe in the USA you guys have it without it?
That’s not accurate. All discs have build 1.0, even in the UK.
The fallout 4 upgrade you just have to go the view product tab pick the right edition. It is a little backward but wasn't a huge issue finding it or claiming the ps5 version.
I have the PS+ version and the only options for the ps5 version are to buy it for $20 or upgrade to ps+ extra/premium.

I usually do not order physical and digital at the same time, but this time I just wanted to play game. And I am really disappointed that when you pay extra for faster delivery and you do not get product.
What has happened to LittleBigPlanet is sad, it use to be very popular, now it's all done because it's developers don't care enough about it anymore. Hopefully they deliver on their new IP. I'm still waiting for the PS5 Explore tab redesign update.
It's not necessarily the developer, it might be Sony pulling funds or not giving more out.
The servers got hacked and they don't want to put in all the work for them to get hacked again

the issue i have with fallout 4 is there is 2 different sets of saves and having ps plus extra or premuim gets you the ps plus version of the game not the free upgrade for the ps4 disc version of the game soo for whatever reason on ps5 the transfer a save feature it doesnt show the saves that i have over 300 hours in soo had to start again but i put disc in use ps4 version my saves are there i delete disc version and even download ps4 version from ps plus saves are gone.
I couldn't claim the PS5 version of Fallout 4 even though I had it from the Ps Plus collection since PS5 launch
The 10 million community levels that were considered lost media, they have been saved and put on the internet archive. Some good news indeed.

You can set your real name if you want, but why would you in the first place and second, it's totally deletable. I don't understand where your screenshots are unless on social media, the PS4 social screen which gets rolled over every day, or in messages.

My ps5 has been rubbing slower since that update. Especially noticeable when I go to my storage and click ganes and apps. It spins for like 30 seconds before it shows
Medievil has a price bug on PS store atm for people who already bought it on PS3/Vita and have premium. Even though the game is free upgrade/free for premium it's asking people to pay for it. Only fix is to claim it on PS4 store which sucks if you don't have a PS4 anymore.

I love fast-foward function on emulators. Its so good to turbo-run through boring parts of the game. Thats why I played FF12 on PS2 emulator rather than any other platform.

I agree with the sentiment though of American Culture does not equal world culture. No disrespect to Ryan as he usually takes the time to explain the quaint Americanisms but a lot of RUclipsrs out there seem to forget that it's a global platform.

I had to Google the phrase as I didn't get the reference. I appreciate the offence that it might cause but would probably be concerned by the Streisand effect that removing it had. I would say context is key and it would be reasonable to assume the game was not intending it to be offensive or be taken as that reference.
