I upgraded from the Galaxy s9+ to the 13 Pro Max and I couldn’t be happier. The battery life alone was worth the upgrade. I can actually go a whole day without charging my phone. Insane.

@@kateofone the pro models have a higher peak brightness, meaning that you can get 1000 bits of brightness on the pro models whereas the non-pro models have a peak brightness of about 800 nits.

Tbh setting the brightness from 800 to 1000 is a small difference. I’m using the iPhone 12 Pro Max since it launched and the difference with battery if set to 800 nits or 600 nits is negligible.
full brightness usually means 500 nits, auto-brightness is the only way to reach 800/1000 nits because it does it when you’re in very bright conditions. (eg. daylight with the sun shining at your screen)

I like the Video my only complaint is the brightness difference. I wonder what the difference would be if you put the brightness to the same nits across the board 😅 The 13 pro technically has better battery life than the 13 because most people aren’t rocking the 13 pro at max brightness. Also doesn’t the 120hz make the battery life better if you’re not gaming?
I have the 13 Pro from launch day, and it has been amazing! Hours better than my previous 11 with the Apple Battery case!! I am so happy with the 13 Pro!
You should use a device to set them all to the same nits of brightness to make the improvements make more sense, only because of the disparity between brightness between those devices.
Thanks for the battery test! I bet if the 13 and 13 mini had the same brightness as the 13 Pro then the Pro would have lasted longer. Can you do a 12 Pro , 13 Pro , 12 Pro Max , 13 Pro Max battery test?
Yeah but the 2 differences is the 13 pro has 120hz which refreshes the screen which saves more battery power than the 13. Also the 13 pro has 1000 nits of peak max brightness, while the 13 has 800 nits. The fact he had all phones on their max brightness automatically means the 13 lasted a little longer than the 13 pro cuz the 13 pro used more power for the 1000 nits of brightness
So in real world usage the 13 pro actually has better battery life. The 13 got a larger battery to make up to the loss of power it would have had if it had the same battery as the 13 pro
Literally, not trying to conserve battery or anything, mid brightness and moderate usage all day, I can get 12 hours on my 13 pro max. This thing is an absolute beast.
This is a very interesting result because the iPhone 13 pros LTPO varying refresh rate panel should make a significant difference in battery life but apparently not????? or the fact that it was at 120 hurts sometimes and varying itself as well, is what kept it the same as the 13🤔🤔🤔
Yeah thats actually really impressive considering 13 pro has a smaller battery than 13. Apple has done a great job at implementing LTPO in the iPhones. Instead of decreasing battery life like in other android smartphones its totally opposite here
Ltpo alao means that it can go down to 10 hz which is very battery saving. So this 120 hz ltpo panel doesnt make so much difference in the battery life
For me my 13th promax can last the whole day because I don’t like play games on my phone anymore or go on social media at all and I only watch RUclips and call or text and have a background app running in the background called find my iPhone
Hey Nick! For the next video: Throttling Test among these phones. For the reason of that is some rumours that the 13 Pro and Pro Max is having a bad thermal. I hope to make this happen. Thanks

I can get about 2 days of battery life with out charging. An that’s with the automatic low power mode setting on. Which is set automatically to turn on at 50%
I think the 13 and the 13 pro had about the same battery percentage most of the time because of the refresh rate and how it takes more battery to run 120 hz, but I know that is just how it is! Great vid!
I want to buy a second hand iPhone Xs. Do you have any advice bro? Or do you recommend another iPhone model? I don't play games, just Instagram, RUclips, Whatsapp, Facebook. Will it last for 2-3 years?
The only thing is that the other two phone is 800 nits while the pros is 1000 bits I believe so the brightness difference does affect its battery performance. If the brightness were the same the 13 pro should have lasted a big more than the normal 13

Pro max still a champion. What a beast. I don't usually max out the brightness and I off most GPS related apps and occasional Bluetooth. I'd imagine id get at least 11 hours or more and the pro 9 hours ++
