Yeah same to me. Though I would say no if we had to include Austin. The lineup with Murray only works with reaves, not Dlo or Gabe.
Bron and jj both already agreed on the podcast that the lakers need depth not more stars. I’d say it’s safe to say that that’s how he truly feels. If his opinion has changed, it’s because the lakers front office wants another star, not jj.

I know it was a small sample size, but in those five or six good games we got from Vando last year, his offense under the basket looked a hell of a lot better
Now it was just a few games but I don't think he had five or six all year the season before.
I don't care if he can hit threes. I want him to be able to catch passes under the basket and finish or get offensive rebounds and putbacks
I keep bringing up the same stretch before his re-injury. He was averaging 10-15ppg through those games and looked phenomenal. But all I hear is Vando sucks at offense and provides nothing but we all witnessed that's not the case (well, those of us who actually watched all the games that is)

Well, after they dangled Hurley and got JJ, it looks like a leftover option. Plus the deep connection with Lebron's payroll in that podcast makes it hard to have the confidence he will hold Lebron accountable. At this point, we can only hope for the best but the signs are not great.

I think JJ will focus on offence, specifically movement of the offence. That's who he was as a player and it's somehing he's focused on and took pride in as a player.
There's that story where JJ got scolded for shooting a 3 in a fast break early in his career. He cares about getting good shots, the players moving for each other, being smart with the ball.
I'm certain he's an offensive, team oriented coach .
jj is really into preparation if he can extend this passion to the players this would only be positive.
if lakers go another jhs route instead of a lottery pick player that fell till 17th, i dont know anymore they better hire a new scouts for next season

I think JJ Riddick should coach the summer league game in Las Vegas just to get some reps in as a head coach, all the talk about the media asking tons of questions and how it’ll be the most watched game because he’s the coach of the Lakers like it doesn’t matter he might as well get it over with now before the actual season starts because either way it goes all eyes are gonna be on the Lakers and JJ Reddick performance all season so why not coach the summer league team to get the feel of what it’s gonna like to be a head coach?

That would be nice to see. Maybe after that experience they'd actually research lineups and gain a little bit of insight into how things actually work. With Trevor making deals it would be Murray Reaves LeBron AD and Valancunias with a bench of Bronny, Max, Cam, Wood and either Drummond or Edey. We'd be on our way to missing the playoffs and having a .400 record for the cost of Gabe, Rui and Vando. Sean would learn that theory and putting it into practice are two different things. 😂

Bad draft. Unlikely to draft a contributor this year. Last year front office blundered by passing on Jaime Jacquez from UCLA, right in the Lakers backyard. He would be in the Lakers front line rotation for years to come.

Anyone who drafts Zach Edey should be fired on the spot. It's as if you have absolutely no idea that Edey has to play the game as a full court game and all you want to look at is what happens if you slow the game down and let Edey try to establish position against guy who are stronger and quicker than he is....and then go and defend those same stronger and quicker guys.

Lakers needs a PG, 3D PF OR SF and a athletic Center. Carter, T. Da silva and D. Holmes II either one of those three with be great but i guess the last two would be available at 17. Carter is a top 10, i guess.

Hawks are looking to clean up the entire roster except Jalen Johnson. Bucks are trading Bobby Portis. Lakers are also looking to talk with Utah about Sexton trade.
There are options out there, FO needs to smart about it. I would love to have Murray and Bobby man.

1. He needs to get experience
2. He should get to know the last row of his bench, no need for experiments in the NBA if he finds out as much as possible in Summerleague.
3. He should take all the media attention and all the buzz to Summerleague and away from NBA so we can work on our next championship as peacefully as possible.

Where would Yves Missi be projected to be drafted after his 2nd or 3rd year in college?
Lastly, what intellectual reason is there to not draft Yves Missi at 17?
