Some ppl have no idea where their lane is. So I guess this is a once in a life time opp. I just think since he has nooooo experience, I would have started with asst coach. That's LeBron's team. I wouldn't even be surprised to find out LeBron is part owner. And J.J. when Rob says he doesn't want to talk about it at this time and then you speak on it anyway, read the room and shut up. You were Journaling about coaching? Just shut up.
Literally. Even if he did really want to break into coaching, he could’ve given it a few more years after establishing his media presence, then starting slow with assistant coaching, and working his way up. This roster is in no way good enough to be a championship team, and when they inevitably fall short, JJ will be left with a shell of his reputation.
In my humble opinion, JJ Reddick isn't ready yet. All talk & no action. He's over thinking everything. I believe there are more experience coaches out there that should have been given the opportunity, like Mark Jackson which is a basketball genius. "Golden State Warriors" Holla Back
Okay, "hollering back." All Xs and O's go out of the window when you take your players to your church that you are the pastor of and try to convert them to your religious beliefs, and you are unable to keep your "homophobic views" to yourself then all X's and O's go out of the window along with your job. There's always more to the story. I loved Mark Jackson as a coach and an analyst, but professionalism also plays a key role. With all due respect to your feelings, though, you don’t seem to be fully informed on Mr. Jackson.

It’s all bout money. You n I kno that
Some ppl have no idea where their lane is.
Let’s get real. Lebron is the coach now
he wanted to be a head coach since interviewing for the raptors
Literally. Even if he did really want to break into coaching, he could’ve given it a few more years after establishing his media presence, then starting slow with assistant coaching, and working his way up.
This roster is in no way good enough to be a championship team, and when they inevitably fall short, JJ will be left with a shell of his reputation.
He's been nonstop 6 weeks, weather is hot in Cali.
If nothing else, I hope he brings back suit swag to NBA coaching. Throw the polo shirt in the trash JJ
Jackson.
He definitely looks the part
What is that look ?

lakers and many teams will follow joe mazzullas philosophy of shooting lots of 3s and crashing for rebs
And watch Lebron shoot a career low from three. No way he can keep this up. He’s just not a great shooter. He’s a streaky shooter
The Lakers are one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league.
Then let them shoot thousands shots in upcoming training camp in order for them to overcome the struggle especially that low percentage beyond the3pt line.

Lebron was shooting 3's BEFORE they became popular ..
Lebron's a swiss armyknife on the court
Lebron can do it ALL ..
why should he with 15 players on the roster
@@ReoLeo-ov7xh he can’t shoot free throws
The last answer he gave about evaluating players lets me know he’s already locked in. You need 2 way players. “You need guys who can guard to be a championship team.” I think we’ll be surprised with his attention to detail. Anything better than Ham n cheese.
So are both podcasts over now?
Every post game interview will be a podcast now. JJ trying to explain how Lebron is getting killed on defense every play.
Yes
@@Rich_iamso you don’t watch games or you just like looking like an idiot. Lebron 100% takes breaks and has to by sitting in the corner slots in games, but statistically when Lebron is guarding the player with the ball he’s one of the best defenders in the league, even last season.
@@Rich_iamlebron aint been able to guard since 2020 fr

All of the answers were far too perfect. They’re going to be a first round exit team.
if this guy can get a head coaching job without any head coaching experience, then there is hope for us all.
To be fair, he has NBA experience. But, it is still crazy
White players tend to get that. Really good white players basically get handed championship teams lile Steve Nash
😂. Stop
You do realize he’s not the only head coach hired without coaching experience. But he learned from hall of fame coaches which is how he knows his stuff.
Yea! I mean I coached AAU and freshman high school. I also played in college! I should have applied, but damn no NBA experience.
Go JJ! Good for you pal!
Rob refers to JJ as Kobe by mistake. Kobe on his mind.
Peace! Kobe hated JJ Redneck 😂
Bro kobe is the name of the guy who asked the question😂
Kobe was the journalist name 😅😅
Did anybody else here that in the 23min part when Reddick answered the lady's question?
The laughing? Lol

Fix your hair, Rob.
Stop worrying about another's man's appearance, Rob
When you have that much money it doesn’t matter what people think about your appearance. It’s the same reason why you often see billionaires in hoodies and sweats

@@Beingbluntvibezisaacwtf you taking about? Lakers are a first round exit next year at best.
As someone who roots for any team playing against the Lakers, I LOVE this hire! The question is will LeBron demand JJ get fired mid season or will he threaten to leave..... AGAIN!
I like JJ. He's very calculated in his response.
Very Very well spoken. I think JJ is going to be a great head coach for the lakers. It doesn’t sound like he’s reading from a script it sounds like he really wants this
All the best to Redick. He has all the eyes and ears on him now.
Some people ain’t got better things to do than worry about someone’s hair there’s always somebody judging
I'll feel for you.Lakers fans, the old man.Mister buss is rolling in his grave to see what his kids have turned this franchise into some mom & pop operation. If they draft Bronny, it's really Gonna get bad. That will tell us all that lebron is pulling all the strings. I know it's some lakers from the past that are thoroughly pissed
This mf doesn't know basketball reddick is a basketball savant
Rob Pelinka makes too much money to be coming out there with his hair looking like it got glued on that morning
I’m so worried but I hope I’m wrong.
LeBron needs to retire asap. Hes ruining the game sooo bad. Him and rich Paul even got nick wright shannon Sharpe and many others on a payroll to put our certain narratives. It has to end he has to retire asap
Why Rob is still with the Lakers is beyond me......just like Dave Roberts (with the Dodgers)
Drafting and developing players has NOT been a strength of the Lakers! How could Pelinka say that with a straight face?
He is clearly talking about their role player finds guys like alex caruso(literally all defence teams)a second rounder austin reaves a non drafted signing and etc
I wouldn’t be surprised if Pelinka gets fired in the middle of the season.
They were good enough to trade for one of the best players in the league AD so. For the drafting position they have exceeded expectations
Anthony Davis is the key to winning the championship. The last one they won Anthony was a defensive monster and a thirty points a night scoring threat.
I’m excited to see what JJ does, I just hope people don’t expect to much, first time head coach, roster isn’t great, and so I just hope that people realize that the lakers will need to have his back for at least a couple years, but that probably won’t happen. But still that’s the reality
The expectations are a championship. Lol. I don’t see this going very well.
But darvin had the same team, improved year over year and doesnt get the give him a few years excuse.
@@vectwon9797 yeah, and that’s the lakers fault. Hams only issue was that he couldn’t get them past the Nuggets in 2 years, I thought it was stupid to fire him but they did anyway, so idrk what your point it
@@justingabriel1765 they were defending champs and had mvp. Its a high bar for a semi good team. U have many players state the coach can only do so much. The players are on the court.
My point is why fire him and then hire an unknown with no game or playoff experience as a coach.
Calling it now. JJ Reddick will be a head couch for a long time in this league.
Mah boii is now a coach I remember him shooting lights out from rainbow country in Clippers 😂
I think JJ is going to be really good in the long term. He will build a culture there if they let him grow.
If you see something special in a person's character, lock it down early.
He was getting a job this or next year regardless. It'd be embarrassing if LAL passed and he turned out great.
Dude just said if there is no buy in it doesnt matter what he wants for the team. You basically just said its up to Lebron and Ant what they want to do. Smh
I don’t think you understood. As a coach you can’t be successful without buy in. At the end of the day it comes down to the guys on the court executing the vision. “Can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink” type of thing.
@jh_1302 Nah he was only specifically referring to two players. So I think he said what he meant. If LeBron and AD don't buy in, no one else will. Exactly what happened to Ham. When you look at Ham's record, actually, it wasn't bad at all. JJ knows his assignment.
