There's literally nothing wrong with it being that way honestly. Legit, boring isn't always a bad thing. It just means nothing freaking insanely eventful is gonna happen and you can just go about and enjoy a perfectly normal day without the major worry of getting mugged at gunpoint or worse like in some other places. I literally went to Manila for a week to visit family once and had my phone stolen as I was walking along the street when I pulled it out to make a call. Never once had that happen in Iloilo but I can't say that for all the streets so just keep that in mind, every place has its bad streets (Stay outta Bakhaw). Iloilo is just chill, I can't explain it but it has a different feel over the hustle and bustle rush Metro Manila gives. Food's great and the prices fair, real estate to buy a house or rent isn't atrociously overpriced like it is in Manila and overall genuinely people here are friendly. Never understood the concept of the place being boring to people since there's a lot of stuff to do if they just look around. We got beaches that's just here as well, as another guy in the comments mentioned a 15 minute boatride brings you over to Guimaras if you're looking for a beach trip that's a lot closer if the hours long trek to Aklan to get to Boracay is too intimidating.
Those who criticize Iloilo city are obviously not from Iloilo. People of Iloilo or the ilonggo’s are conservative our city is known for its cleanliness, religious and hospitable caring ilonggo’s. Welcome and Thank you for visiting Iloilo city.
2 things, you are jerking the trigger instead of applying steady pressure and you are focusing on the target instead of the front sight. Work on those things and your group will center up nicely. Not a bad pattern though for a 25 year break. Old US Navy rangemaster here.
My home is on a 5500 acre hunting ranch.. I used to shoot at least once a week at the target range. Heading home in March for about 6 weeks for the spring fishing. Best time of the year in Texas
It was probably a good thing you went to those places during dead times; it allowed us to HEAR you perfectly. Gets hard to understand WITH noisy crowds. But those are very fun things to do so a weekend trip or vacay is very worthwhile there.
thanks kevin for a nice tour of Iloilo. I am coming from texas to Iloilo to live by end of this year. I've done some research, and you have shown just a drop of what Iloilo has to offer. There are many things to do for anyone who wants to enjoy their life by seeing beyond their computer. Being 74, I'm not looking for tons of excitement, however, the gun range intrigues me, the waterpark looks like lots of fun, and of course Festive Walk Mall and S & R mall. I'm starting my adventure in the condos near Festive Mall mainly for convenience of mall tours and restaurants. I also plan on using the swimming pool there as well as the gym. I hope you show more of Iloilo city.
Hi Kevin I love Iloilo more after your videos. You know the Philippines could be my six month retired country city very soon. Men you could put any man down with that piece of metal in your hands at ease. I came from a military background family, my Father was Superintendent in police CiD, Special police forces. My oldest brother did 20 years in the military and retired as a lieutenant. My youngest brother was a special force like the swat team in my country. Me just done one year of voluntary part time standby forces. My father never wanted me to take this ally as I was the smartest intellectually in the family so I went for business studies where I qualified in the finance field. Back then our country was a dictator regime and we had to learn how to defend our country. Dame I may forget how to use a gun now that 35 years ago the last time I handle one
a lot of them haven't even been there or want it to be like Walking Street in Angeles City...which it is not. If its right for you, then it works for the MOST important person
Kevin, you look younger without the mustache. Any advice on sending Balikbayan Boxes? How many did you send? Did you have to pay duties on them? Did you address them to yourself or different people or person? Did customs open the boxes?
Roxas city is the seafood capital of the Philippines.. I will surely check it out because I love seafood.. might even move there if everything is the way I like it..😮😊
As a “recreational” pilot in the USA, being able to own or rent aircraft there would be a major issue on deciding to move there. If you are looking for more content or topics…. Please look into the aviation opportunities there or at least interview an expat or local pilot that flies small “general aviation aircraft”. I own a Cessna 150 as well as a Pilatus sailplane and a handful of hang gliders.
You must be referring to Bacolod. It's a city that's all crap, dirty, messy, shabby, trash everywhere and rain stained buildings and muddy public markets, traffic congestion, daredevil drivers, brownouts weekly, water coming from the faucet is brown after a brownout. These are things you don't see in clean and beautiful ILOILO.
I have never been to Iloilo but I have heard that it is beautiful and clean and has lots of new buildings.. I've seen a couple of videos filmed in Iloilo and I never saw what you are talking about..😮😊
@@GreenTintedToxicMind He's probably from Bacolod. People in that city are envious of ILOILO they make it a point to grab every opportunity to criticize, but these usually backlash on them , because the truth is , ILOILO IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN ANtF MODERN And HERITAGE STRUCTURES HEAVY , and Bacolod is the crap city they want to hide, so dirty, messy, shabby, and undisciplined people in Bacolod.
Illoilo City is the cleanest and safest city in the Philippines..❤
So far, from the 12 islands that I have traveled to🤔 I agree with you 100%

Thanks for the shout out Kevin. Im glad you liked the duckpin bowling. It was one of my favorite budget activities in the city.
I’m shooing to break 70 next game!
Iloilo, lots to do
Nice video
Like the cleanliness
Very clean city!!!!

I had a great time, and met many nice people 😉
I'm from ilo-ilo, yes it's boring here🙁
Very cool Kevin. Iloilo just went way up on my destination list. Thanks for sharing your day!
Glad you liked it😉
GREAT VIDEO And InFo :o)) ILOILO .......Is a VERRRRY INTERESTING PLACE & IT WILL BE to SPEND TIME, THERE ;O)) !!!!!!!
It’s got a lot going for it, especially if you’re happy with city life

Hmmm….ok, thanks. You’re right…I couldn’t see the target anyway. I should just look at the sight😉
Cool
Some fun stuff 😉

It’s always perspective, with a positive attitude exploring can be very exciting! Thx for these videos 🇺🇸🇵🇭
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it😉
Cool. I did a lot of duck pin bowling growing up. Several duck pin allies were I grew up.
I thought I could do better than 68 with 3 balls😂

Thanks for watching James! My next video(Saturday) is actually about the Festive Walk area😉
Illegal u turn?😢
Love me a waterpark.
I’d love to by this on a sunny weekend 😉
I’ve never heard anyone say Iloilo is boring.
That’s me, maybe others have heard like this man.
It's not boring if you know where to go, find a local girl to guide you around
That’s true!!
Hi Kevin, can you show us the golf course too. Thanks for the videos.
I’m sorry, but I am flying to Manila this morning
Cheers Kevin. Good video mate
Thanks man! I will be in Thailand next month 😉
I can't believe ya didn't golf ⛳😄 When ya golf there's half a day right there 😎✌🏻
I’ve got company, and I don’t think she would have enjoyed that. Maybe next time though 😉

👍🏻 there are a lot of GREAT things about Iloilo😉
You should take a cab if you drink that liter of beer and then motorcycle could be bad. The bowling did look interesting.
You’re definitely underestimating my ability to consume beer
Kevin my boy, time to get a Filipina friend to enjoy sights with.. 😊
No he doesn't. Nothing but a headache and more money leaving your pocket.
I have one, that’s who is doing the filming 😉
Kind of like candlestick bowling in US
😮oh thats not bad at all, i tbought ill find that bowling alley in zamboanga only. Wow its in there too.
I’d never heard of it before. It was fun 😉
Kevin, looks like you had fun pin bowling, dont blame being 6 2 lol
Hahaha, I can’t just say I sucked! I’m too competitive for that😂
The gun ranges is sounds interesting.
It was a lot of fun😉
How do you like Iloilo compared to Dumaguete? I am trying to make a decision as to where to start.
Iloilo is cleaner, and great for people who prefer a “city” life. The Dumaguete area has MUCH more nature.
Check out Guimaras Island. It's only a 15-minute ferry ride from Iloilo Parola wharf.
I went there yesterday 😉
a lot of them haven't even been there or want it to be like Walking Street in Angeles City...which it is not. If its right for you, then it works for the MOST important person

Kevin, you look younger without the mustache. Any advice on sending Balikbayan Boxes? How many did you send? Did you have to pay duties on them? Did you address them to yourself or different people or person? Did customs open the boxes?
Nope, no duties or anything…took 3 months. I sent 12 total. No, they were addressed to Jennalyn
Thanks! I hope to see you soon, once I sell my house. Take care!
I agree it's not boring, they need to get out more! :)
👍🏻
I know people love to be gangster and say clip but it's not a clip, it's a magazine.
Visit the Beaver in Raxas City near Iloilo
Thanks for watching! I did not make it up that far on this trip
Roxas city is the seafood capital of the Philippines.. I will surely check it out because I love seafood.. might even move there if everything is the way I like it..😮😊
Nice that they have gun ranges but the restrictions on foreigners/Americans having guns there may be a deal breaker for me.

Your Filipina can own a gun, so you can definitely have one in the house 😉
I told the wife, if I am going to live in the phils, I would want to live on the beach, or at least have a pool. So now we have a pool....
Hahaha, you win😉
Check out the Hancinda Fiameta in Barotac Nuevo if you like to do horseback riding.
I’m afraid of heights….and believe it or not….a horse is too high
Never been to a gun range. I'm afraid to fire a weapon 😳
You should go and see Jerry! He will take great care of you 😉
You lived in Texas and have not been to the range in 25 years?
It violated my parole😂
Boring if u don't know where to go😁👍💪💪
Absolutely!
Good job at the gun range Kevin, after twenty five years of service, i retired from law enforcement 2 years ago.
Thanks Greg!
Easy $30.00 USD
Dang!
Next activity women
My mind is swimming right now. Im just trying to stay sane at the moment
I'm just going to say that at 8 minutes or so into the video that was not a cool move by the instructor....
He knew that I hadn’t shot in decades and stepped in
Most of Iloilo looks like crap. The buildings look in dire need of maintenance and it`s dirty

I watched so much videos about Iloilo and it's contradicting to your observation. Are you referring to your attitude?😂
It’s 10X better than Dumaguete
