What do you think about Tom Holland being confirmed to show up next as Spider-Man In the Fantastic 4 movie?
Feige will then retire from Marvel, and then become CEO* of Disney (or one of the leadership roles for all the verticals with the Walt Disney Studios). *Will not surprise me, in interviews in general about Disney, he emphasizes his love for Imagineering, the company's history, Mary Poppins, etc! It can happen! :D :) The 10 year Marvel plan reads as yikes from my one foot in normie-land POV, yet if anyone can do it, it's Feige.
I'm sticking with the MCU, because there's nothing else even remotely comparable. I clearly remember a time when comic book movies either weren't possible or were thoroughly unconvincing due to the limitations of the SFX at the time.
I agree mcu is the best but Star Wars for me has always been up there as well. Star Wars does good at shows and animatated shows but if they just released more movies they’d be set. They’re good on shows but they need more movies.
I pray for the well being of the SFX & VFX artists who are working at Marvel. Hoping they two sides work together well.
MCU would be better if they care about quality level of Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Cinematography is great and story pathing is phenomenal. I want to see more grounded stories what could pay off in the future with a big finale as they tried in Endgame. Now it seems super rushed - how big stake is it gonna be in Secret Wars. I want to say Ms Marvel had this dimension/portal/Pakistan plot which looked dangerous but the show didnt show it as something super important we would care

After Endgame, they basically had to reset the table for future stories to be served. I thought that Eternals was basically the MCU's Green Lantern, and the rest of Phase 4 has been fair enough. After Endgame, though, it was going to take time to build up to the next story. We waited 11 years to get to Endgame (2+ years just to deliver the five Phase 1 entries), so that sort of thing needs time for anticipation to build. I look forward to watching all of the MCU's upcoming entries, and seeing where things go. The complications caused by the pandemic threw off their game, somewhat. Yet they are still in rarefied air from a cinematic experience standpoint. If you were telling a story and got interrupted for over a year, anyone would have trouble picking up right where they left off without missing a beat. It's going to get better, because they don't have any other choices. Just keep in mind that people are doing all the work to make these movies, and remember that nobody's perfect. If that doesn't change your mind, then I should direct your attention to the DCEU if you really think that Marvel dropped the ball. They can't even deliver on a functional storyline through 4 movies...smh
They need to build up villains as epic threats like Thanos to give teams like X-Men and a newly formed Avengers motivation to work even harder this time. Hopefully they pull it off with Kang and then move to Dr Doom

@@Mateo_A0 there is far more. So far we have used all Marvel B characters. Their bread and butter is yet to come. Sinister, The Shadow King, Apocalypse, Mephisto, Magneto, there is soooo much more to come. Xmen will be phase 7-13 and beyond. At least 2 or 3 decades of material still coming.
My prediction is that they make everyone think that Kang is the main villain in the Multiverse Saga, and then subvert expectations by making Doctor Doom the main villain in Secret Wars, usurping Kang.
if this is the direction that the mcu is going i would love to see it, but when it does end, i think they should have a solid 5-7 year gap between the last movie and the next version of the mcu. it would be very sad to see this one go but eventually they’re gonna run out of “thanos level threats” and they’ll need to restart
How about 2-3? They make way too much money to let excess time pass. Also…imagine if you’re like 65 and have to wait 5-7 years…those years aren’t guaranteed 😂
As much as I like the ideas, I think the MCU is moving too fast in the sense that I don’t think it should end that soon. The xmen, blade and many of the new characters won’t get long to tell their stories before the reset. If they do go this route I think some characters need to survive to carry on their legacy and their individual franchises. Maybe it’s just the reset or destruction of the main mcu timeline and a 5 year break for us to process while the writers to come up with a new timeline and a way to bring back those franchise characters. I love the mcu, but a break for people to miss the franchise could do it really well
To be honest with you bro, I think comic book movies is the way of the future. As long as marve comics keeps putting out new content I think it's here to stay.

If they would ever end the MCU, if ever, maybe top it off with a DC crossover? After that, I think Disney must focus on other of their franchises with big MCU-level potential. I think with so many superhero content for the next decade, it's high time that that genre needs a big break.

One shared universe for the other earths make sense, since they can easily recast a lot of fan faves for future stories. Similar to what the comics do. Then, do a mega event every 10 years and bring back some wave 1 avengers. Feige is a genius

One glaring flaw here is how much complexity in the plot can the audience accept to continue patronizing Marvel movies. Its the simplicity of the Infinity Saga that captured fans. I'm just not sure if stories like these can translate well into movies.

Actually that is a good way to reset. And I think eventually a reset will be needed, as eventually they will run out of ways to raise the steaks, so a fresh start with an all new creative ways to start things out will be needed eventually.
on the next reboot, I think they should go more in depth on the various cosmic characters and show more of the xmen and more of the history of Thor and Asgard, etc, and to various characters that didnt get much or any attention and really delve deep into setting up the world building.

everyone saying the marvel movies are kinda weak right now aren't entirely wrong although still loving each one in its own way, but with these new sagas coming out in the next few decades, these phase four movies now will just be seem like a few meh episodes of a series compared to spectacular movies that we'll get in the coming years
Announcing stuff doesn't fix the writing. The writing needs to be better. And maybe it's because Marvel likes making 2 hour movies when they should be like 30 minutes longer for some unknown reason (Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4 being prime examples) but it makes the writing absolutely messy. Show wise they suffer too because they try to cram 20 different ideas and storyline from the comics and just jumble it all together to create dogshit (i.e Moon Knight).
This is when the fun begins!

There will be no such thing as a multiverse because they will introduce the omniverse which pretty much means every movie, tv show or video game, ect franchises outside of marvel and disney that exist will be connceted to the MCU.

I do think your thinking with the Eternity Saga makes sense
But I also think that the Timeless Saga trademark might have just been a potential name for the Multiverse Saga
I’m pretty sure its just a trademark for the comics. The one-shot Timeless comic title was supposed to set up an entire comic saga which was due to release this year. I believe it got pushed back due to Covid and may not show up until next year. The first time that Thanos showed up wielding the Infinity Hammer was in Thor #6 in which Thor is told that he will die at the hands of Thanos. Donny Cates who writes Thor said that the image of Thanos would be very important going forward and then was later confirmed to set up something called the Timeless event due in 2022. Instead we got a one-shot book in 2021 that set up a little more background, but it definitely wasn’t an “event.” It’s possible that we will get the Timeless Saga in the comics before the end of this year, but its most likely been pushed back to 2023. I just don’t see the MCU jumping into things that have just happened in the comics when they have decades of material to use before eventually bringing up this event.
Kevin Feige is the One Above All. It's hilarious that Marvel released all of Phase 5 and some of Phase 6 while Lucasfilm only gave us a Lego Stars Wars trailer at SDCC.
If Thanos comes back, and as an ultimate version, he should look comic accurate like he did in 2012 Avengers, or 2014 Guardians/2015 Avengers AOU, or a combination of both. This all seems insane, and i'm all for it

It all sounds cool, but I hope that they can keep the general pubic invested in these characters so they can keep making money. Most likely, if Secret Wars doesn’t make 1.5 billion, it will be seen as a failure. Superhero fatigue is very possible.

This is getting wayyyyyy lost in the weeds with cosmic goobley-glob. I do think that eventually there will be a reboot because Disney will want to start making iron man movies again. But the reason the infinity saga worked was because audiences were heavily invested in the human consequences and relationships of individual characters. If they can’t get folks to invest in the new characters you can keep on power gaming and leveling up the cosmic nonsense and nobody will give a shit. This is exactly what happened in Starlin’s original infinity gauntlet sequel miniseries. He kept “raising the stakes” of cosmic power but story wise it was diminishing returns.
@@Zeus-ve4zg Doesn’t help that the bigger the threats get the less specific and less connected we become to big disastrous details. The scale will eventually reach a point where destroying an entire universe just doesn’t effect anyone because the scale of the threats are too big

Phases don’t really have much of a purpose anymore. With the expansion of content being produced, entire sagas will only be as long as Phase 3. This is all semantics and it doesn’t really matter. Just something I’ve noticed
I think the nest phase of MCU post phase 6 (Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars), it should go more cosmic and I'm hearing the next Saga as Age Of Galactus Saga 7th, 8th and 9th Phase for it...! Also looks like there would be many different faction teams ready to take on their respective journeys such as Fantastic 4, The Mutants, The Young Avengers, Midnight Sons (The Supernatural Avengers kinda team) and maybe A-Force (Female centric team of Women)...!!! By Phase 6 The New Avengers team would be formed and GOTG is not getting any more films after GOTG 3 post Multiverse Saga....!

Good analysis. Honestly, it’s seems very likely we do get something like this down the road. Maybe , introduce a new universe with new characters/actors and take their time building that world. Doesn’t have to rush adding the x-men or Fantastic 4. They can let time play it’s part and get amazing characters with different stories that hasn’t been told yet. Rebooting Marvel is a no brainer cuz it’s story telling. New ideas and new risks that made marvel what it is now. So far, fans won’t like the direction phrase 4 has been going but further down the road, it all will be reminded as classic marvel movies.
I just want pop culture to stop fixating on the Multiverse sooo damn much. It's such a lazy writing crutch.

what i hate is how we know so much about the future of marvel and nothings really a surprise anymore, that’s how it felt during the infinity saga like the two movies concluding the saga weren’t announced before the saga even started and we already know that the avengers are probably gonna lose in kang dynasty because we know secret wars is coming out after. The whole element of surprise
and us not expecting things is completely gone now which is one of the things i loved about marvel, it also gave us anticipation and made us want to see the next movie even more, but when we expect what’s coming we’re not as surprised and don’t anticipate as much. Anticipation was a key element in old marvel that’s no longer really a thing.

I don’t get why they would need to “reboot” the MCU to have a fresh start for the future. It’s not like marvel is running out of characters to use. There’s so many we’ve haven’t seen yet. That’s why I’m glad that we’re getting some lesser known shows first like echo, she hulk and iron heart. Then eventually we’ll get to the bigger ones like the mutants & F4. Highly doubt they need to restart the MCU. In a way it kinda contradicts itself being that marvels main trait is being a connected universe. The whole MV saga is perfect because we now have variants & don’t have to rely on one single version of a character. Now we can have multiples of the same yet still keep the original without recasting or rebooting

Im'a be completely honest I'm really hoping that Secret Wars is delayed by a year or 2 because imo it's way way too early to be adapting quite literally the most important event in Marvel history. Especially because the characters that are in Secret Wars 2015 had a long time to develop as characters, especially Reed and Doom who are the primary protagonist and antagonist of the event, a Secret Wars adaptation wouldn't work and would be straight up disrespectful if they didn't make it a Reed and Doom story like it is in the comics. Idk man I'm just super fucking worried because I want it to be faithful to Hickmans run and we already won't be getting T'Challa becoming King of the Dead, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, and facing off against Doom with Namor.
It won't be that same as the comics, I'm pretty sure we won't see the beyonders and molecule man, they're gonna do something to adapt it in way that's more in line with the previous movies

I think Heroes Reborn is a simpler way to reboot the MCU, plus it gives the option of leaving the current MCU intact.
That was intense and speculative for sure. That being said, I think your thoughts are beginning to align with Feige's, as this path of three sagas lines up with the information that has been release thus far.
The individual series and movies to get to these places, however, and how they all wrap together will ultimately determine if this approach will sing with both normies and sweaties IMO.

The MCU is about to be sooooooo much more fun. Crazy this all kicked off with Tony Stark.
So am I right to think, after the verse beyond the Omniverse, is a verse where Thanos could merge other universe's such as DCU, StarWarsVerse or even the 2000ADVerse, I think that would kick ass.
Avengers: time runs out for the timeless saga
Mind if I throw my hat into the ring?
My guess is that the Eternity Saga will focus on exploring the past incarnations of the multiverse--the Sixth Cosmos, the Fifth Cosmos, etc.--and also take inspiration from Jason Aaron's Avengers run. I could see someone like Doom or Mephisto take over as big bad there, but the First Firmament could also come into play.
As for the Timeless Saga, as of this writing, it looks like this will be an annual tradition for Marvel now; a second one shot was released last year. In any case, I picture the Timeless Saga focusing on exploring realms beyond the multiverse, beyond Eternity: places where time is non-existent. As for what would happen, one can only look to the comics to figure that one out. That being said, the next Avengers run after Jason Aaron's run was teased in the second Timeless issue, so I'll be curious if it takes us beyond time.
And beyond the Timeless Saga, I'd think that they'll work on even more sagas even bigger and bolder than what came before it. It's rather exciting thinking about it! And of course, Marvel Comics plans to stay 10 or so years ahead of the MCU, ensuring that there's always something bigger and grander beyond the horizon.

maybe this is how they get around the alleged contracts with X-Men. I don't see why they couldn't use the same actors now and say they're from other universes and if they really want to recast for the MCU they can still have that on hold for when the contract ends
