The first time I watched this episode I damn near had a heart attack when James destroyed the cartridges 😂🤣😂🤣
THANK YOU for actually staying to the end to see the reveal. Everyone I’ve seen who’s watched this video doesn’t and assumes they actually destroyed two rare collectors cartridges. Also there ARE supposedly NWC Red Label carts out there somewhere.
There's a part after the credits where they show that the original cartridges weren't destroyed.
They probably used homemade fakes to smash for the video.
If I'm not mistaken, I think the gold one was a copy of Zelda 2 and the grey one was a Top Gun
Even though I knew it wasn't the real games getting smashed, I still almost had a heart attack when I saw this video the 1st time 🤣😜 I believe the gray one was actually Top Gun & the gold one was actually Zelda 2 they disguised as the NWC carts. Pat the NES Punk actually has a couple of fun RUclips videos where he talks about the NES games that many people don't know about & his character is this awkward, quirky, naive, trying to be funny but really isn't (but he actually is). You should check it out, if you want 😉 There are two other videos both Pat & AVGN did together - The Bayou Billy/The Punisher episode & the Combat episode, those you should definitely check out 😉🙂
This was my introduction to Pat Buonincontri. Little did I realise he would be an actual punk years later. 😆
The nerd didn't destroy the real Nintendo cartridge, those were props.

Man this videos a classic, I first learned about nintendo world championship from the nerd episode. Neat history but the game really is lame lol
Same and I agree, but at the same time those where originally made for the contest & I'm pretty sure back then nobody actually thought that these cartridges would be worth a fortune & be a collectors item in the future.
Unless you know anything about the NES I imagine so. All my knowledge of the NES came from AVGN. 😁
