The Cumbrian Mountain Express & Retro High Speed Scot Stockport 24/08/2024

I headed to Stockport this evening with Jobey once again to capture not one but two railtours passing through Stockport to Crewe. The first was an The Railway Touring Companies Tour ‘The Cumbrian Mountain Express’ (which had been advertised on Stockport Tourism I believe as being hauled by 34067 ‘Tangmere’) led by WCR 57314 ‘Conway Castle’ & 47*** ( I didn’t manage to catch the number) back to Crewe from Carlisle.
The second tour Retro High Speed Scot was lead by the 125 Groups HST 43809 and 43159 ‘Rio Warrior’ (which I saw 3 weeks ago at Hazel Grove) it was great to see the HST again and it more than made up for the absence of Tangmere in my books.
