A PJFT (Pre-Joining fitness test) is different to PRMC. PJFT is booked by you after your RT and is conducted with a PTI. It's a 1.5mile run in 12:30 mins followed by 1 minute rest and then 1.5 mile run in under 10 minutes. This is done on a treadmill on an incline of 2%. You must pass a PJFT before you are allowed to attempt PRMC. Yes mate, I'm in the application process myself. Got my RT in a couple of weeks!
I'm glad you mentioned the PJFT mate because after you mentioned it I went back on the navy main site to see if I had missed something and remember reading about the treadmill test and the times in which you must complete it in and for some reason thought that it was on the PRMC. I spoke to my dad about it seeing as he is very serious about fitness being a member of the British Tae Kwon Do team and we figured out that in order to meet that time the tread mill needs to be at the speed 13.5 (I am not sure if this measurement is standard across all machines or what that number actually represents). Your clarification has helped me with some confusion I originally had regarding the run on the PRMC as it says that the first 1.5 miles is a squadron run which didn't make sense to me as to my knowledge it was on the treadmill. From my research over the past couple of days the PRMC is more about them seeing your mental state where even if you don't get max points on each exercise they will be seeing if you are determined and giving everything you have got on each test. Well thankfully in regards to the PJFT i have given myself 6 months of training before i take my applications further so it shouldn't be a problem. I can't tell you how glad i am to hear and see that is someone else also going through the application like i am, with a bit of luck and coincidence we might end up in the same troop at lympstone! I wish you the very best of luck with the PJFT and i have a good feeling from our little conversation that you will pass it no problem.
Yeah it's all a bit confusing haha! Basically it's split like this: PJFT is a separate test taken a while before PRMC. You do 1.5 miles on a treadmill in 12:30 minutes (11.58 kph) then you get 1 min rest and have to do 1.5 miles in under 10 mins (14.48 kph). All this is done with the treadmill set at 2% incline. You must pass this before you are allowed to attempt PRMC. PRMC is a 3 day course at Lympstone. As part of that you will do a similar run outside. The whole group will run 1.5 miles together led by a PTI in 12:30. Then you will have 1 minute rest before having to run the return leg in under 10:30. During the 3 days you will also undertake all your other fitness tests (press ups, sit ups, pull ups etc). Hope that clears it up! Good luck to you mate. Hope to see you in the future!

The rabbit is the only thing i've could...
my thoughts exactly the only thing that makes me doubt my dream
If you can't kill a rabbit, how can you expect to kill a human?
+Ryan Barbour i said it makes me doubt it....
+Ewan Walsh 👍
The camara has an honourable green burret. He has received it, no joke.
11:00... The missing 10 solders are sleeping somewhere...
5:06 90 kilometres in 3 days, not miles. 90 km = 56 miles. Still, mad respect to those men!
You sure it wasn't 90 miles mate? 30 miles a day, very doable for RM
thanks for this video learned amazing skills :)
damn that eyeball was some hardcore shit
80% water my guy, for hydration. I must say, kind of smart.
Volunteered to do that in my wilderness survival training.
Worst bit was biting through the optic nerve when it didn’t “pop” out of the socket.
Another bloke had to eat a huge cockroach. I’d take the eye over that every time!
Lmao I couldn’t stop laughing at the chicken bit
This makes me so fucking proud, I am definitely considering going and I am only 15 so I have time to pre-train...?
I see u
My aunt literally has pet chickens. It was weird and horrifying and cool at the same time watching him be so ruthless to the chicken.
They need to learn how to survive. The way they are brought up and treated is millions of times better than battery farms.
It was kinda funny how the chicken moved after being decapitated
Our Royal Marines are the best marines in the world.
Sir how about philippine Marines and philippine scout rangers??
Wot about them
20:25 was that a game sound affect added in? 😂😂

Myrna Brown yeah mate its not cause theyre in the fucking army its cause were fucking proud bastards. End of. We dont care what people really think we are a country that likes to get the job done and sit down in the pub after getting pissed. Ideal lifestyle

It's called right attitude
That guy who ripped the chicken's head off is so tough, I heard he ate the boogers out of a dead man's nose

This is my bunny: Stu. This is my other bunny: Emergency Rations.
I'm from america and id probably join up with the brits before joining the USMC.
I don't blame you.
What why? The USMC are awesome.
USMC just like big guns, they kill anything that moves. Including sometimed their own men.
i love when people from other countries talk about americas military like they know what the fuck theyre talking about.
the americans have numbers, but they're useless. everyone knows it.
Right now im in the Royal Marine Cadets and I want to be a Royal Marine Comando when im 18
that guy at 16:24 is spot on and hilarious!
"im hungry, ill eat anything, killing and ripping that rabbit to shreds!"
what u need from me or what I can do
I will fight for my country if I go to the army
These Guys are so much fitter then we were back in the seventies due to better
Any advice for someone who wants to be a royal marine in the future?
TheTerribleGamerHD Go to the careers office and take their advice, you should get a Royal Marnes fitness training programme which should be started ASAP as I'm not joking when I say you need to be really fit to start this programme. You need to be doing circuit training, long runs, cross country runs, interval training and long hikes.
How did that go for you? 7 years
One of those boys looks like my son. It broke my heart watching him twitching while trying to sleep.
R.I.P Orlando rogers! Killed in a plane crash
"SERE" controlled exercise!.. the only easy day was yesterday!...i like that exercise but not the final before escape!

I'm here from 2024 😂
18-54: Was that guy on the right lining up to chuck up his 'ring?'...
While I completely understand the need to hunt and kill animals for survival, I really couldn't watch that part.
Bet you can eat chicken tho lol
Alex Want I actually laughed at the chicken part
@@nooooplease7060 I laughed at both parts. Especially the rabbit part. I wish the kill would have been a lil more bloody.
@@C_1140inri it’s ok to hunt an animal and it’s normal, but to enjoy its death isn’t
@@nooooplease7060 I laughed bc I was not expecting that it just popped right off
Merry Christmas Royal Marines
R.I.P Orlando Rogers
Few years back, he was in an air plane with someone from the RAF if I remember correctly. Guy lost control whilst doing acrobats and the plane hit the ground and he died instantly.
Martin Cantwell R.I.P.
Poor Lad he was a gentleman in this
My other dog caught a rabbit a few months ago. He ate it starting on the legs one by one & finishing with the head. He's an American Bulldog (Scotts) the one in my pic. I've an Irish a Staff cross Collie too
And you just let it and don't see anything wrong with that behaviour. Worrying
@@Rachel0400 what's up doc..?
@@siy8230 haha never seen someone reply after 6 years so quickly to a comment
@@Rachel0400 way of the world, dog eat dog, dog eat rabbit lol same thing
@@kbmarine4393 yea. Also the rabbit died instantly and didn't feel any pain. I guess my comment may've read like he ate it alive like one leg at a time lol but no Bugs didn't know what happened
usmc shout all the time where as our British Marines get support then shouted at
"You will have ur head cut off". "Everyone happy with that?".
14:59 should we wake them up or just let them sleep?
เองก็เกีอบจะเป็นคนอังกฤษค่ะ เพราะเราไปที่นั้นบ่อยๆ
man like Terry i really hoping yu mak it man....i am joining da commandos
Not with that grammar you won't. And have you lived in England for over 5 years? I join next year i can't wait.
why are you guys writing so much obscenity in regards my way of writing on the internet can't you see it is a short-cut of words! i already had someone saying some rubbish in regards my grammar then now i must improve my spelling. I Am graduating in Science ok for your good information.
orlando MC veridiko how long have you lived in the uk
Long enough to know how to squeeze the trigger... hahahaha MadmanMeathead... but i was just chatting shit i am doing Geology at Southampton University.
orlando MC veridiko Cool, when are you joining the marines? I join next year
Commandos lead the way!
Guy on the left at 19:14 truly has a soldier's hard look.
I'm confused I bout that
hahaha no way he ate the eyeball thats fucking awesome
People saying funny things "Royal marine " commando " the clue is in the name... You need to be as fit if not fitter than world class athletes to even have a chance... And intellect sorry but some of the shit I have read! You gain everything within the training to be elite! If you lack the mentality or intellectual presidency you will not become a marines commando!
I know 3 personally one in 45commando and he has actually trained navy seals soo tell me how they aren't specual forces? All this rubbish in comparison we are ally's!! All officers both British American have total admiration for the Royal marines! I've even seen Documentary on U.S officers telling their Recon Marines put in enough hard work son! And possibly one day you could be as good as a Royal marines commando. educate yourself please "SBS" (special boat service) sea counterpart spec ops team to "SAS" a commando is an elite shock trooop the commando is one level of elite the royal marines training at lympstone is the mentality!
I don't understand why we compare and get all negative about our ally troops but yes RMs Are machines and yes they complete the hardest military training in the world.
"not fitter than world class athletes to even have a chance"
This is a bit of an exaggeration. If you needed to be as fit as a world class athlete then hardly anyone would make it. A 55 year old passed the 4 Commando tests.
@@effygoodwin37wow crazy I forgot I even commented on this video😂 it's really not the evidence is in the original Advertisements "99% need not apply" did you know how many people initially apply and fail the basic 3 day Tests? The the psychometric/Merchanical Comprehension Exams? Alottt! they've slightly relaxed the standard in modern times due to filling the numbers unfortunately. the 55 year old guy you're referring completed these tests in excruciating pain, and was a top athlete, triathlons marathons ect...and maintained his rigorous Training His Whole life! His father was I believe some sort of Naval Officer as well so he had alot of insight knowledge of what to expect, but regardless what he achieved was brilliant! You don't just compete in such competitions without incredible mental willpower and phenomenal Endurance! some of the final tests are that demanded recruits have Died due to heart attacks ect... its not a walk in the park. But like I said it does seem in modern times they have relaxed the difficulty. Statistically thought Alot of S.A.S come from the marines and which as I'm sure most People know are Second to nobody!
If you have self discipline everything is possible
13:54 remind me to watch from here]
The Afro Lamb did you finish watch it from there?
Yes he did
Eeeerrm, do you think perhaps the killing is part of the training?
reminds me of DofE
Wtf kind of DofE did you do?
r/holup
When my friend did his gold DofE he did it on Dartmoor with a night navigation and in full CEMO (we are part of the army cadet force).
You better not the PETA hippies see the rabbits being as thy quote in the UK," Slaughtered." Lol
PETA is going to have a damn fit! Lol
Meh, peta is American
You would think they would show them how to first catch an animal. After all that is the most important thing.
You get taught all that.
+MadmanMeathead very true
They teach you how to make wire snares and deadfall’s etc
Guys walking with weapons with their fingers on the trigger at this stage of the game???, not in my day.
rabbit in my tum tum tum 😂
And so my spirit fails me my heart is full of fear I remember the days of long ago I meditate the days of long what you have done and consider the work of your hands I stretch out my hands to you and thirst for you like a parched land I Lord answer me quickly my spirit is faint with hide 👮👮👮👮👮👲👆✌🙏🙏🙏🙏take care your self and rest in peace thank you
