WOW! You have really shown how to do so much with simple things...One my grandfathers was a tinsmith and I have wanted to do a wall art piece honoring him. What fun it will be to do pictures of him with metal items added. Thanks you so much!
Oh Susan, that is a WONDERFUL idea! I'm so glad that this video gave you some inspiration. I hope your creative process honoring your grandfather brings you hours of happiness and warm memories. Stay Creative!
Hello Barb, that was so interesting and shows what you can do even if you haven't got a lot of money....... Thank you so much, I really enjoy you're tutorials.
Hi Mags. I'm glad it gave you some ideas. One thing for sure - you can invest a lot of money in any creative expression. You can also find loads of supplies around if you just look. ;-) I enjoy that challenge, too. Thank you so much for watching, Mags. I'm glad you enjoy what I do. Stay Creative!
This is so cool. Glad I found it and when I'm more advanced, this is my next exciting challenge! Thank you for taking the time to explain the various techniques in this video. I will subscribe.
Bless you and the creativity that God has given you! I can only wish that I had come upon your video some 20+ videos ago. I have watched so many videos that had only one of the techniques that you showed. You literally gave every possible way of using these materials all in one video. Thank you! I have been cutting up the metal cans and ironing them to lessen the curvature. I have the metal duct tape, but have not known really how to make something. I will be following your blog.
I see that you made this video some time ago, but I am very glad that I found it! Thank you for the wonderful information and the way you presented it! I hope to find more of your videos

Oh my!! What great tips. So many I had never thought of. Especially the drinking cans. Thought I will be sure to use in my Scooby-Doo album I am making for a friend. Thanks so much for these videos.
Also forgot to tell you I also use the kitchen aluminum foil and just wrap sides around a piece of cardstock and run that through my machine with the embossing folders and it turns out awesome.
Another thing, sorry, I comment before I finished the video. As for gluing the aluminum cuts together, my best way of "glueing" is using double stick glue dots or even just double stick strips. Works well for me for attaching to wood frames, etc.
Thanks for the Embossing metal was what finally got me to buy my new Big Shot, so I've definitely found some inspiration here. Just curious, though -- what kind of adhesive did you end up using to glue the can pieces together for two finished sides? And do you need to do anything to the edges so they're not sharp?
The edges don't seem to be sharp after die cutting the shapes. You do need to be careful until they are cut, however. Without re-watching the video, I don't remember exactly which glue I used. I'm guessing it was Crafter's Pick. I filmed this quite some time ago. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!
Thank you so much for watching. I really don't know what is available where you live, so my best advice it to try different things and keep track of your results. Stay Creative!
Did you ever give me ideas! Thank you for this video! I love to recycle so i love the bit about the aluminum cans.... Thankfully aluminum cans are easy to recycle at your recycling center. I'd love to come up with a way to something with styrofoam... My recycling center here in Arkansas actually takes strofoam ... but that is usually not the case...We recently got a new bed and it came wrapped with lots of styrofoam etc... and i just wish my creative brain could have come up with something... any ideas??? Love watching your videos.... I'am not so kid oriented but the more grown up crafts I'm enjoying... Hugs! deb
Deb Terry Styrofoam makes excellent Christmas decorations for the yard. Hang large circles or diamonds from tree branches or make 3-d circles or trees to hang in the windows. Large flat sheets make wonderful stars for an outside wall especially if you poke LED's through to outline the shape. Finally, wrap large circles in different colored plastic wrap to make garlands of faux candies.
I honestly don't remember now as I filmed this video several years ago. I usually use Crafter's Pick Glue or 5-2-7 when gluing nonporous surfaces. Thanks so much for watching. Stay Creative!
At Christmas time, we sell the hand carved, hand painted Santa figures that my husband and I create. Other than that, I create classes for the HowToGetCreative.com membership and courses that are open to anyone. I'd rather teach others how to create things than to make them to sell myself. Thanks for watching! Stay Creative!
Thank you for all the great ideas!
