Good installation Ashley.. tip I always double clip the pole tubing from the end of the pole tip to the brush head .. prevents the tubing slipping on the clip over time from tugging on the uni valve 👍
Swivel on the gooseneck and a hoseless setup has been the biggest gamechangers for me. And the new type of gooseneck with the pushfit looks like the next upgrade 👍
@@aemackintosh Love the ability to put on extra sections without having to take everything apart. And the long hose tailing behind the pole when it's not in use doesn't really do it for me... 😉

Loving your content my friend! Very professional and interesting. Does a water fed pole need power and a hose? Or can it work manually from a large water container?
Thanks. Yes the WFP is usually run from some sort of electric pump system. There’s loads more about different types of setups in my training course: www.aemackintosh-onlinetraining.com/courses/window-cleaning-tools-and-techniques
For the last step I cut one of the push fit in half and then slid that on and it gripped and added the little red stay, this allowed me to remove easier rather than having to use o ring that would need cutting off if you want remove hose. Seems to be holding out so far time will tell.
Thanks so much for this! I bought a cheaper telescopic pole that nearly broke when I was assembling it! I’ll definitely get one of these instead. All the connections look way more secure and sturdy. Great video.
Okay so. I've all ways run with ionic. Don't know why just all ways have. Never tried any other pole apart from back in the day I used the green unger poles you remember them...? I think you would enjoy using an SLX, and there are so many useful accessories for it too. I will have to do a big pole comparison video at some point.😃👍🏼

And can you give me a list with all the materials which I need to start this work. Thanks
It’s a tough one, there are pros and cons to each. I will have to do a video to explain fully. There are so many accessories for the slx that it’s so versatile. The clamps on the phantom are not as easy to use as the others but it’s a very durable pole. The Ova8 is so ace, but it’s not quite as robust and it requires a bit more maintenance, but it’s such a joy to use with the oval shape. Personal preference at the end of the day?😬👍🏼
Hi Ash, my new Gardiner WFP came today but my gooseneck is different to yours, it has a piece of pipe coming out the top and it looks like you have to attach the pole pipe to the bottom of the gooseneck. Will the univalve still work with this set up?? Seems like where the pipe attaches to the base of the gooseneck will be a weak point when tugging on the univalve.
@@aemackintosh it would be great if you could do a video and share your findings as I have Slx and in future I will be looking at buying another so I would find that interesting 🙂

A good set-up and simplifies the fitings. I like it. It does prevent a pole extension from being added easily though. Great video again. :-)
Thanks. You would just have to thread the end of the hose all the way through the extension section to get it on, (without the protector ball).😃👍🏼
Thanks for the video bud, little tip though with fresh hose is a cup of boiling water to soften the ends that univalve will slip straight in 👍
