when I try shorting mine like that to set current the numbers just go all over the place, if I actually clip the clips together all I get is zeros across the board no matter what
When you set Constant Current, was there some sparking sound in the unit? Mine has a little buzzing sound like sparking but nothing seems to be wrong. I set to low Voltage like 2V and it's still buzz a bit. No smokes and smell. Works OK still.
