Sept 11, 2017 Doctor's advised me I had approximately 3 months to live without a heart transplant... Almost 5 years later still no transplant and its for music like this that's in my heart is why im still here. I Thank Our Lord everyday For Letting Me Stick Around a Little Longer.....
A very Happy 85th Birthday George "Buddy" Guy. July 30, 1936 Lettsworth, Louisiana. Truly a.. Living Blues Legend.. Many, many more George.. Long live the Blues.
Nobody can tell me that this isn't a great song........ A soulful experience from two of the best. They are having a great time playing and show a lot of love for each other. When BB says at the end of the song "When I'm pushin' up daisies, you're still my Buddy" it gets me. I will be sad and cry when these two pass away but I will smile big and often when I recall this and other memories of these two fine men. This is a perfect performance and an emotional experience to witness.
Heaven only sounds about half this good. B.B.'s up there, but Buddy Guy was just in Toronto four days ago. 82 years old and he put on the best live show I've ever seen. Hasn't missed a beat. Hopefully Heaven won't sound this good for a while yet, because I'm still enjoying having one of the original greats down here.
Yep... not for me!!! They've done everythng they had in their soul... The Death is a consequence... BUT LIFE IS A CHOICE... B Lived well!!! He's awesome... and Buddy too!!!
I consider myself fucking lucky that I shared some timeline of my life with B.B. King (R.I.P) and Buddy Guy=. These guys are legends, that is not only for their musicianship. The path they had to cross had been crazy. Buddy Guy had to pick cotton when he was a kid. Even when he was almost famous, he had to drive tow truck to support himself. My words cannot describe the respect I have for B.B King and Buddy Guy.
With B B King gone, that dialogue at the end is a little hard not to tear up. Anyone of us that has played the blues owes B B King a huge debt of gratitude. Buddy Guy is truly one of my favorite guitar players in the blues genre. That dialogue shows the respect between the 2 men and that is what made it touching. Great performance by both.
I’m shedding tears right now. I feel heavy. Now that BB is gone, this song feels different. It’s like he knew he was leaving and he was just being grateful because he stayed a little longer than he expected. The greatest musician of all time rests in peace and we are left with his fragments to carry forward for the generations to know the greatest and his LUCILE.
In my opinion, in the 62 years I've lived, there has never been a better musician than BB King. He is seriously missed but so thankful for what he left with us. Of course, Buddy Guy is also among the best, as well as Albert Collins and and of course, Eric Clapton. Long Lives the Blues!
This song is the best song and recording they ever did together because they are speaking from there heart and thanking God in heaven for what they have
thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer Till I got, got a lot more to give I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer Lord knows I love the life I live This old road's been so good to me I've been given much more than I ever dreamed I won't ever stop playing these blues That's what I think He put me here to do I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer Feel like I've got a lot more to give I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer Lord knows I love the life I live So many good friends I've lost along the way I know I'll meet 'em again on some uncloudy day Until then there's more songs to be sung We've come a long way but we're a long way from being done I thank the Lord I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer But I feel like I got a lot more to give I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer Lord knows I love the life I live Thank You, Lord, I love the life I live You got that right, B, I love the life we live, Buddy I spend a many nights listening to you play You still sound good, oh, you too sound good, Buddy Keep on doing it B Your nickname is a good name for me Because I believe you are my buddy I love the life I live You're the best that ever did it and got away with it Well, thanks a lot You ain't done it so bad yourself, old boy When I'm pushing up daisies, don't forget You're still my buddy
So powerful I love the life I live You the best that ever did it and got away with it Don't forget when I'm pushing up daisies you're still my Buddy if that doesn't touch you I don't know what will
This song rips at my soul since we lost BBKing. I saw Buddy this past summer I hope it’s not the last. All I know is I have my memories which I will always cherish
I actually have something to want to live a little longer for..... To lestin to some Buddy Guy.... I feel cheated that I only found him 2 weeks ago.....I bet The Lord loves this song too
I thank the Lord for blessing this world with these two blues masters who always remained true to their sound and who they were because they believed in the power of the blues.
Gospel meets the blues, all I can say is thank you soo much from both Buddy Guy and B.B. King. You've given us sooo much, I can even think of where to start. Thank you both !!!! Cheers
Absolutely incredible. I cannot imagine how broken one must be to give a thumbs down to this beautiful song by two absolute masters, literally legends in their own time.
I just love this song. My dad took his last breathe surrounded by his family to this song almost 2 years ago. Its an amazing song. Especially since I had to revive my dad the year before that. So we had an extra year with him. He loved the blues. Great music.
This is a beautiful collaboration... Anyone who happens to follow Buddy Guy or be fortunate enough to be in the area should definitely check out the Delray Beach, Florida Garlic Fest on Saturday Ferbruary 12th, 2011 from 8:30-10PM to catch Buddy on the main stage! If you ever visited BB King's Blues Club in WPB you may recognize Thom Welte and Jeff Egan playing at Johnnie Brown's (very near the Garlic Fest) with the Circle Of Trust from 9PM-1AM Saturday night, 2/12/11. Be there!!!!
Man... I couldn't help but get a little misty eyed when the song started. By the end I was in tears. B.B. King was.... is the best blues guitarist around. "No B.B. King is not dead, he just went home."
Mr. King, Buddy Guy, Lightning Hopkins, Stevie Ray. That why at 50 I play the guitar. Thank you. for the enjoyment and joy you brought to my life. Thank you Mr. King.
At present there are 10 assclowns who disliked this BB King is a blues legend an inspiration for lots of guitarist and singers Buddy Guy is the master of the guitar and he's such a showman and what an amazing voice how can you not like this?
Oh man... The good times, I wish you lived a little longer Mr. BB King, the blues community miss you. Long live the blues, this made me cry... Respect Mr Buddy Guy
God man I just can't stop watching this video I feel blessed I got to see BB this year. I'm guna try ny dame hardest to see buddy before he's pushing UP them daisy. Truely two of the greatest people to grace this earth.
Can you listen to this and not feel touched in some way? even if you don't understand the language? Well that's how real music is supposed to feel! Thanks life for letting them stay around a little longer! :D
Two of the Greats! Of course, Blues Boy now plays in the grandest band there is, but there is a lesson about humility here too. They give all praise to the One who blessed them with such talent. You see, ALL good things come from God, the rest? Not.
this is something Legendary about two friends talking using their guitars and then one of them which is a god of blues to me and you know i'm talking about Blues Boy King, said : " when i'm pushing up daisies, don't forget you're still my buddy ". i felt a little sting in my heart ! RIP B.B King
The first time I saw BB in concert and shook his hand I was 16 (1979) I was fortunate enough to see BB in concert over 70 times and met him more then 30 times. Went on the road as the front man with BB King's former bass player Russell Jackson and Russell appears on on of my CDs (My King Of Blues) Man, I am so grateful and blessed. Cheers and Long Live the Blues.
Well I guys I was listening to this track on my Ipod. I just said, lets see how it looks on You Tube............. and to see the Boys playing this........ . This music is magic..... and to see the respect and friendship they have is great. I lost my brother a few weeks ago and the lyrics is this song catches my heart.. Thanks Paul
This is melancholy and "feel good" at the same time. Blues will still be around when the greats are finally gone but it won't sound like Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Otis Spann, Otis Rush and Albert Collins. As good as the younger crop of blues musicians is, I don't see anyone coming up with something like this song and the bond of these two brothers.
Can't believe He is gone...I'm so heartbroken right now. Thank you BB King for the life you lived and thank you Lord for the blessings of great talent such as His.
Just so you both know, it wasn't till recent I have come to know you both, and appreciate what you have to give, love it, Buddy,BB, and you to Lucille..thankz for your music and blessings
Sept 11, 2017 Doctor's advised me I had approximately 3 months to live without a heart transplant... Almost 5 years later still no transplant and its for music like this that's in my heart is why im still here. I Thank Our Lord everyday For Letting Me Stick Around a Little Longer.....
😮

13 years on and Buddy has stayed around a little longer! Still performing at 86, it's so wonderful to see.
he turned 87 and his tour continues!
just a little bit......... Life is FUCKING AWESOME!!! Just a little fucking more, please????
When he said "When I'm pushing up daisies, don't forget. You're still my, Buddy"
That hit me hard.
These are my inspiration
times flies so fast since I heard it for first time and now feelings change so much, it hurts!
RIP BB king🙏🏼

Hopefully some billionaire asshole doesn't buy Lucille in some auction. How unjust and ungrateful would that be?

Thanks life for letting them stay around a little longer! :D
Two of the Greats! Of course, Blues Boy now plays in the grandest band there is, but there is a lesson about humility here too. They give all praise to the One who blessed them with such talent. You see, ALL good things come from God, the rest? Not.
You will definitely live in our hearts a lot longer, as long as our hearts are filled with love !!

Two legends !! This kind of sound truly gives life meaning!
This is melancholy and "feel good" at the same time. Blues will still be around when the greats are finally gone but it won't sound like Buddy Guy, B.B. King,

Tear fell on my face on this.. two legends they got the blues yes they got it..
3:46 oh this really makes me feel calm and extremely soothing, The way BB made Lucille “speaks” like that, He played it from his deep soul.
God damn it. That last talking part made me cry.
none of these people are gone they will live forever in our minds they are alive and always will be.
what a great song with two guitar blues legends
Listening before bedtime for a long time,me and my dog Syd.
Happy new year! Stay humble
Can't believe He is gone...I'm so heartbroken right now. Thank you BB King for the life you lived and thank you Lord for the blessings of great talent such as His.
