@@something5769 any idea how i can access hinge to loosen my hinge, my singular hinge is tight and can you maybe make a video on it or just tips, Thankyou
to loose the hinge firstly you have to remove the screen protection panel/frame . Then take a spanner and loose it. While loosening the hinge analyse that in which direction you have to spin the screws as both hinges has different direction to loose in respect to each other.
It has been solved at some extent in 2023, a hp repair guy visited home, he showed me around 15 hinge cases pending all from 2022, so yeah there was a design flaw. But newer models have better hinges quality and it is really tight, you can’t open with 1 hand. But around 2% people have faced issue in 2023 models too, confirmed by the repair guy.
@ naah, he did not received any issues with newer models. Also i dm’ed reddit people with 2023-24 models, none of them has major hinge issues, even jarrod’s tech is on reddit. 2021 2022 models were shit, they were defective about 10% (repair guy said, and thats a big number) just like the mobo issues with loq. But my 2 college mates have victus r5 5600h , both of their devices are working without any issues, wobble is there. Newer models does not even have wobble. You can check of yourself in hp stores.
Hi, my Victus 15 laptop makes loud cracking and popping sounds from one part of the hinge, and it takes a lot of force to open and close. The laptop is brand new and under warranty, though it's an international warranty rather than a local one. When I took it to a technician, they told me there was no issue, saying it’s just because it’s new. However, the sounds are getting worse, even though there are no visible cracks or damage. Interestingly, if I open and close it repeatedly for about 10-20 minutes, the sounds gradually get quieter until the cracking reduces to just a clicking sound. But the next day, the hinge becomes tight again, and I have to push harder to open it, which brings back the loud popping and cracking noises. What should I do?
Hi, is it advisable to loosen the hinges? I want to send my Victus to a service center because I see screen bleeding every time I open and close the lid.
is this the 15inch variant or the 16inch variant cause i dont think theres any issue with the 15inch variant my friend has one for like quite a while but the hinge is good as new!
@@something5769 Newer versions 2024 donot have much of an issue, i just got mine and there is no screen wobble in it i am using it on my lap while on bed and not a single issue so far.
bro is it ok to leave it as it is ? or should i get it fixed ? its almost 4 months and it has made so many cracks compared to yours mine broke bit bigger
Bro earlier i was able to open my victus with one hand but now after 1 year of use i am no longer able to open it with one hand. It needs to be held from the lower part. What could be the reason and how to fix it?
Great video, keep it up 👏 I have a question: My Victus 15 laptop screen is not stable when closed (to imagine the scene, when closing the laptop screen and placing it vertically, there is a gap between the screen side and "touchpad" side). Note that there are no signs of cracks, battery swelling, or any external damage to the laptop. What could be the reason for this, and how can it be fixed? If you know, please help me.
the hinge on my hp victus already failed, the left one broke the plastic around it but thankfully it didn’t damage the screen and the laptop still works. I have to get the hinges loosened before the right one ends up doing the same thing because I can hear it making creaking noises whenever I open it up
It depends upon you if you can do it by yourself then do it otherwise go to service centre and if you go to service centre ask them to loose the hinges. Also please subscribe 🙏🏽
My genuine suggestion is don't go for HP Victus series it has manufacturing hinge issue. My hinge broken two times after purchase only in 2 years of purchase
So, engineers are indeed at fault here there should have been more surface area covered by the hinge on display side, anyways this can be avoided by using correct application pressure while opening the lid, open the lid by holding both base and lid and always open from middle just some precaution, cause anything is better than a broken hinge
Bro I have hp 15s & when after doing my work when I try to close the laptop then slight tick sound comes...I can't see or wait till the hinge breaks..Please reply & provide the solution
my hinge makes a big crack sound when i try to open it, i want to fix it myself because the cost of repair is too much, any suggestions?
Please follow my video and do it carefully also watch this video twice before execution. Feel free to ask me if anywhere help needed 🙂

also make sure to loose the hinges equally so that either of the part not get broken due to imbalance force on structure

If you have warranty then use anyway else loose the hinges
The spanner with size 5 will work on it
I also have this problem currently. the difference is that it's on the left side instead.
So this has nothing to do with the battery, right?
No that's not related to battery and you can repair it by seeing this video

You can make this spanner 🔧 from iron workshop where iron furniture made
Sorry for late response but I was busy in work

No you should fix it as soon as possible because it may damage your screen also
I have this problem both side. One of the screw is broken and i lost it, What should I do now
You can arrange a new screw and then fit to it by gluing or modifying
But before doing it make sure to loose the hinges
Bro earlier i was able to open my victus with one hand but now after 1 year of use i am no longer able to open it with one hand. It needs to be held from the lower part. What could be the reason and how to fix it?
The reason behind it that the hinge got tighten you have to loose it and apply some lubricant. Sorry for late response but please subscribe 🙏🏽

Due to its structure. The weight of the display part is high compared to the strength of its hinge
And also don't tight the hinges for this otherwise the hinge will be broken
@@something5769 thanks bro 🙏
The issues are overly tight hinge and weak plastic base not capable of taking the flex, why the hell put a 10" design on 13-17" laptop.
