So people who learned of these through videos like these should instead have been kept from learning of them -and thus wanting them- so that the prices would stay low... for who exactly? Surely you, who already have several, are the last one to deserve to want more, let alone for cheap - so who is it? Who are the people so much more deserving of wanting one that others should be kept off these turntables outright just so they can get them cheaper through lower demand? What's the Correct and Right™ way to learn of them that earns such rights in your eyes?
After the successful update and reissue of the Audio Technica sound burger Sony really needs to take a hint and reissue this record player! A modern linear tracking cartridge with Bluetooth capability would absolutely blow the turntable market wide open!
I have 5 of those ,some are PS F9 ..I feel so validated ..This deserves a drink!.. I think i will paint mine with a metallic silver paint .As i use mine with a Bang Olufsen beolab 6000 that is silver too
I’m fairly sure that mine came with a Sony lanyard that fits into the top of the player on the back. If I ever find that lanyard it would probably be worth a zillion dollars. I’d let it go for 1 billion. So the coolest thing imaginable is walking down the street with $3000 headset Groovin to your Vinylman! Also, plays only flat or very slightly warped records, otherwise the record will rub.
As the lacquer was cut, not as the record was pressed. I've owned the Revox B 790 TT for 46 years. But it's performance is dated, by the more conventional TT's of today for far less.
I especially liked the use of the crikut. The degree of authenticity is amazing. I dont mean to make this about me... I used a friends crikut to put the Karriem Riggins drums art and pad icons onto a mug that is yellow on the inside. I know that sounds total fanboy, but just for personal use, its made drinking coffee fun again 😅 Did the same for the 40's own keys on a sky blue inside mug and 40's own drums on a purple. I just love the unique artwork of each. My next project is Morg using the Moog typeface! Not many other ppl I can share this useless revelation with. You're welcome!
Brilliant haha - I do wish I could have printed a bit smaller with the text but it was becoming impossible to keep them looking clean. Tried several different techniques. Love that you make your own mugs, I often feel that I should make more custom stuff around my house
