  • Interior designers will find Milanote a simple and effective way of creating mood boards for interior design projects.
Milanote is a way of visually collecting ideas from many sources: these could include images that you pulled in from the web or even notes that you created on your phone, iPad or computer. It’s incredibly powerful and has a very minimal and attractive UI.
Interior designers will find it easy to create complex mood boards and allow you to easily discuss and share ideas in the design process with both your team and clients.
You can also use it to run your business: discuss strategy using it as a virtual whiteboard or plan a blog post by creating a mind map. The uses are endless.
Did you know you can embed Milanote boards in Notion? I'm building a Notion dashboard- specifically for interior designers in Notion. I'll be releasing the free template with the whole build once I have finished it! Join our newsletter and tick the Notion box if you would like a copy

Joanne Pereira is an interior designer, educator and mom of 3 adult children. I have been a designer for 20 years and have worked in Australia and Hong Kong.
Joanne is obsessed with interiors and crafting beautiful spaces that clients love! On an average day, you’ll find her trawling design stores, looking at vintage finds for her clients, designing on her computer & in Procreate, playing with her dog and cooking delicious meals! She recently moved back to Sydney from Hong Kong and is lucky to be based both in beautiful Berry, on the south coast of NSW and Surry Hills in Sydney.
In Hong Kong, she founded an interior design practice and design store, Eclectic Cool where she represented a mix of European, US and Australian brands such as Gubi, Armadillo Rugs, Dinosaur Designs and Normann Copenhagen. On her return to Sydney in September 2021, she founded my interior design practice, StudioLuxicon.
After years of training and practice, both formal and informal, she has created a design practice that is grounded in an appreciation of the fundamentals of design, transcending fashion and trends.
Want to learn how to create interiors that are functional and well as beautiful? Interested in starting or scaling up an interior design business? Want to improve your branding or build a website specifically for interior designers?
Joanne is developing a range of online courses for designers, architects and stylists which encompass tech in interior design, branding for designers, architectural visualisation, project management and processes in interior design.

Can you help me with web clipper? It is not saving my pictures from Google and popping them into the mood board. What am I doing wrong?

When you use the web clipper, it will be sent to an unsorted column on the right hand side and then you drag it into the board. One common mistake is clipping it to a different board than you intended. When clipping there is a drop down menu to select the board you want to clip to. Check some of your recent boards to see if you clipped it there by mistake. Hope this helps.

Im looking at this app but there is no information on how big each board could be.
How much space is allowed per board?

the board is an infinite canvas so it can be as large as you like. The only limitation you have is the number of boards if you have free plan
