  • Here's my theory for BioWare's Dragon Age: The Veilguard. There has been more information given to us thanks to the Game Informer article that was released a few days ago. I've been thinking what the Evanuris has planned, and it's not good.

      Yep! And with the article saying the Blight's current radiation is a part of this, makes this so much more worse 😬 If only Solas freaking told Varric he was moving bad guys into a new prison, this could have been avoided

    I am even thinking of a double blight. That both remaining elven gods will start it together. After all we will hire Davrin at one point which means we need his experise. Also if it is a double blight and they both start in Antiva... man that land will be so f-ed. The fourth blight distroyed so much already and that was 120 years prior.

      @@AGirlAndAGame Here is the thing if the elven gods are already corrupted with the blight and the old gods arent yet tainted by it, doesn't that prove that the archdemons aren't the evanuris?

      What about a battle of the blights. Archdemons are corrupted old gods, the Evanuris are (already) blighted gods. Maybe there will be a civil war between the arch demons and the Evanuris. Each using their own blighted creatures.

    My only issue with this theory are by the words of Solas "Nothing about the lore of my people are tied to the Old God Dragons" he says this specifically before you reach skyhold. I feel that the Forgotten ones may possibly be linked to Old God Dragons.

    Something is telling me that the only person who can truly stop both of the evanuris is Solas and I think Bellara will be the one to figure out how to get him out of the fade having rook use the blade to cut it open resulting in the veil not able to be repaired and needing to come down. I also get the feeling the evanuris are the ones who made the demons by using the spirits against their purpose and blighting them

    • @AGirlAndAGame

      Good points here! I mean Solas gets what he wants but not the way he planned (which is never apparently). So I wonder how that will play out with the other Evanuris locked in there.

    My theory (using inquisition spoiler) is that the blight is because of the dead titan is the blight. My bet is the forgotten one are the titans and the whole locked with the evanuris is wrong. Sun Elven god rages war against those favored by the stone (titan and dwarves) to the point dwarves forgot their connexion to magic and their history with the titan.
    Solas said the final stroke was the evanuris greed for power and what power a titan would held and we know they killed one, but a dead titan made of lyrium could be the red lyrium who is still singing and has the blight. So Dead titan = red lyrium, evanuris wanted that made stuff like the idol, possibly "indoctrinate" with the song (a prototodype for the spawns or the red templar)
    While being banished with the red lyrium with them they got corrupted themselves.
    The magister broke a tiny piece of the veil, enough for the evanuris to go dragon mode one by one with the blight radiation to create dark spawn.
    The descent DLC also show that the titan awake because of the breach, the red dead one might also have done that which would explain why it is everywhere in inquisition.
    Also the breach solas made in the demo might awaken the titans once more, which would explain why harding would suddenly have magical power (same as in the descent)

    Love some of your theories. Have some thoughts of my own.
    Solas locked the Elven Gods away because they killed Mythal, Solas at the end of Tressaper. “They killed Mythal. A crime for which an eternity of torment is the only fitting punishment”.
    Solas was moving the Gods to a new prison when we interrupt the ritual, They manage to escape the prison and enter Thedas. He had to move them in order to bring down the Veil, which is his ultimate goal.
    Tevinter used to worship the Old Gods which were Dragons. 7 Old Gods for 7 Archdemons, Not much lore info for the Old Gods to be Elven, even Solas himself says that the Elven people have no connection to the Old Gods.
    Personal side note: I also think that the Mage assassin is going to be the one who betrays us, he serves the Dragon of Darkness, Lusican.

    What a lot of people are overlooking is what else these 2 Gods mean as well…something I personally have believed since Inquisition, which is The Maker and Andraste are actually El’Ganon and Mythal, which means not only will we most likely see her again but Solas and Mythal will likely team up to finish what they started: seeking retribution for killing her (after she pulled a Palpatine/Voldemort and sent a part of her soul for a new vessel!)
    In all honesty, it just might take the Veilguard, Solas and Mythal to take them down…👀

    My theory is that the Archdemons are like the avatars of the Evanuris. The dragons had a bond with them like Corypheus and his dragon(Which Solas said was old elven magic) in DAI. Solas sealed away the Evanuris in Arlathan/Black City in the Fade and used their dragon avatars as seals to keep the Evanuris locked away. So the Evanuris called upon the Tevinter Magisters, posing as their false old gods to lure them into the black city to be corrupted by the taint and to bring it back to Thedas to create Darkspawn. With the Calling, the Darkspawn will seek out the Old Gods/Dragon avatars to release them. When all seven are found, that will free the Evanuris. It would also allow them to take revenge on the world because the tainted Darkspawn and Archdemons would destroy everything.
    This is in my opinion why Solas was so furious with the Grey Wardens in DAI for wanting to seek out the final two Old Gods. If they did that then they would release the Evanuris.

    I'm gonna admit, I'm rather bummed out that the theory that Lusacan is Falon'din and Razikale is Dirthamin is most likely wrong is rather a bummer.
    It would have made so much sense, the Twin/Lover gods of Death/Night and Secrets/Mysteries heading the Last Blight together would have been fascinating. Thematically, it would fit quite well, as with Dirthamin's reveal and death would also come an end to Secrets, and Mysteries of the series.
    Same with Falon'din, providing a Finality to the series, as with the God of Death's demise would come also the lifting of the Darkness and Night thar the Blight Imposes...I think it would have been a gratifying twist, even if much of the fandom had already expected it.
    It makes me wonder if Bioware changed that trajectory close to last minute, because so many in the fandom had worked out the connections that were there? It is hard to say I suppose, but still... Of course this is conjecture and would-have-beens now.

  • @andrewvincent7299
    @andrewvincent7299 2 месяца назад

    That big Centipede looking thing in the desert we saw from the concept art is definitely Ghili'nan. The Archdemon we saw in the reveal trailer is definitely Lusacan, which I believe is Elgar'nan's dragon avatar like how Corpheus' dragon in DAI was his.

  • @marcosamell96

    There is a theory from years ago that also says the black city is Arlathan. After Andruil brought the blight into the world, it spread to the elven capital. And that would be one of the main reasons as to why Solas created the veil to save the world from the taint.
    Another theory is that the archdemon dragons are the forgotten ones. After all, the legend says the dreadwolf tricked the forgotten ones into going to the abyss, and the elven gods into the heavens. Abyss = deep roads. Heavens = the fade

    I wonder if there is a purpose behind the blight? Like- I wonder if it is a bio weapon of some kind, created by the old gods, to destroy all things not elven (all things free, in general including the elves that rebelled) yet in the process of becoming all blighted, a mindless dark force is created. I wonder if the blight is something purposefully unleashed to subjugate everything.

  • @LizzyLoves91
    @LizzyLoves91 2 месяца назад

    Assuming this theory comes to pass, I wonder if the tentative plan may be for the fifth and final DA game to be to settle the blights once and for all so we can come full circle. I say this for DA5 only because, if we’re gonna stop a Blight, we need Grey Wardens (that’s not to say maybe they’ll cook up another way for a non-Warden character to stop it). We know Rook can be a Warden and that we’ll have Davrin, but if the Blight is gonna be the focal point, we need to ensure the PC is a Warden, just like in DAO. It would bring the games full circle: in the first and last games, the PC plays as a Warden to stop the Blight and it could symbolically coincide with the end of the Dragon Age and the beginning of a new one. As to what will happen in DATV, that I’m unsure and this theory has a lot of ifs and assumptions. We may not even get a DA5 if Veilguard doesn’t do well. But I think it would be very interesting. Regardless, I’m so excited to see what we have in store. Autumn can’t come soon enough!

    It's possible that the elven gods(I can't spell their name and not going to try) had a dragon mount/pet, and the arch demons are those dragons. Each with a piece of the gods like how Crophes( I didn't spell that right) put a piece of himself into the dragon in inquisition. And we only know stolas was moving the 2 that escaped before we/rook interfered he could have already moved the others before we arrived.
