    Exactly the test I was looking for! Very well presented indeed. This video alone deserves more subscibers than the 388 you´ve got. Well, you just got me also! Thanks a lot!

    Do you recommend this light for interviews? Like 1 to 2 hours of continuous lighting?
    And which softbox do you recommend for this?

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  Год назад

      Hey, I use this light for interviews all the time! It’s pretty solid for having flexible and bright light. I use several different modifiers, but usually a Godox softbox or a lantern

      @@FilmAshton I have some short form interview style projects coming up. That plus I’m a filmmaker so I always need lights. I do my own RUclips videos as well. I’ll definitely get a lot of value out of this light

    Kool. I was just considering the sl60w but would be shooting mostly 120fps. This sounds like a better option cheers bro

      No doubt! Have some higher output lighting is really helpful! Thanks for watching homie!

    Did you have any problems with this light or anything that needs fixing? Do they handle heavy duty work?
    I'm afraid of fixing this in the very near future.

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  Год назад

      I have been using mine since a little before I made this video. It’s solid for hours of work and mine is still in like new condition! They aren’t brighter than a $1300 light, but two of them probably is!
      It’s plastic, so if you’re rough on gear and just toss it around, then you may need something more expensive

      I have found that I really enjoy using the Godox lantern, but I have also picked up a 6’ impact umbrella that is pretty stellar as well. Lots of great options out there!

    How does the fan noise directly compare to the SL60W?

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  2 года назад +2

      You know, I think that is difficult to say because the fan noise from one unit to the next is slightly different on the SL60. I’d say that the 100BI That I have is pretty darn quiet and has a very gentle and easy to remove fan noise.

    • @tomask.3983
      @tomask.3983 2 месяца назад

      @@FilmAshton Suppose you would have mentioned it, but can you turn off the fan completely with reduced lighting capacity, like I have seen some lights - they can be totally quiet with fans turned off but will only put out like 30-50% of max light...

  • @IsaacFromHK
    @IsaacFromHK 2 года назад +1

    I used the Amaran 100x once and I wonder how do these two compare?

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  2 года назад

      Generally similar. It seems that it’s really a luck of the draw for if you get a great unit or not. Mostly fan noise can be an issue. The amaranth stuff gets way hotter and this is generally louder, but both solid lights for the output.

  • @manisharora6233

    How much is the output difference sl 60 nd sl 100?

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  2 года назад

      The SL100 W is nearly twice as bright, but the SL100BI is barely brighter than the SL60W

    How is this light in vs the sun in a room

    • @FilmAshton
      @FilmAshton  Год назад +1

      It’s hard to answer this because the sun offers lots of brightness levels due to time of day, clouds, etc. It’s not a Hollywood light, but it will bring your exposure to a useable level if you’re close enough to the subject you’re lighting
