One of the better descriptions and videos I have see/ had bought The sprayer, but left it in the box for a few days - now ready to go After watching your instructions/ also your honesty of other. Ones being better out there after comparing a few low and high end products, this should help with my project-painting lattice work can be tedious. Thanks
I bought this after watching your video and so far I am happy with it for what I need (painting trim of brick house). SO much better than brush and roller
@@AquarianNomadic Time and expensive toys still doesn't make you a professional. I know plenty of people who've had expensive tools and plenty of experience but still showed up hungover or stoned and weren't worth a crap.
Great video! I just bought the Avanti HVLP 100. My first spray paint gun. I broke my wrist and have been a refinisher for 30 years. This will hopefully help me out. Thanks again!!
Great video. To the point and I feel like it covered everything. If I would change one thing, I'd say do one coat on one door in real time. But don't think that's a deal breaker at all. Thanks for the video. Can't wait to see more of this channel.
Nice and thank you! Bought this sprayer 2weeks ago and ready to takle the project today. This video reenforced my reasons for purchasing. Very thankful from one Patriot to another. Awesome and found a new DIY subscription to follow!
Thanks for your video! It is a good sprayer and at a great price. This paint sprayer is now on sale this week @ Harbor Freight for $59.99 (original price $79.99)
Starting tomorrow, June 2nd 2023, it'll be on sale for only $39.99. It's already on sale today (and the past 2 days) if you're an Inside Track Club member though.
I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.
as you were spraying, splatter got onto the cabinets behind the ones you were spraying. did the splatters affect the final finish at all? i have a ton of doors to spray and i like the way you have yours set up in this video
Nice review, but I wish you hadn't sped up all the footage of you actually using it. It makes it difficult to tell how fast it actually sprays during normal use.
Nice! On sale for $45 right now. I'm trying to paint my E-150 van interior spray foam, which is extremely time consuming with it being porous and dents and it's an absolute pain! For $45, I'd say it's worth it even for one time. I'm also getting ready to work on my E-450 bus, and I'll probably paint something in there, too. Maybe even the exterior, so not sure if it'd work there, but I'll have time to try it out on a couple things.
Pretty much an almost part for part copy of the Wagner HVLP sprayer at close to half the price. They both function pretty much the same, the Wagner may have a slightly better motor, but they both get hot and seem to last just about as long.
Great video. I'm a handyman that has a fairly big job coming up, and I was going to get one tomorrow. After this video I'm already a step ahead learning how to use it beforehand. Appreciate it. I've got this. 😂
By the time we got the paint to go through that strainer thingy in less than 50 seconds it was the consistency of water. We sprayed louvered doors and it was a complete disaster. Runs everywhere. Just dripping ridiculously. I don’t know what we did wrong but I didn’t have any luck with this thing.
Thinned too much, probably too much fluid coming out too. Could also be you sprayed too much at a time, you'll get runs even if it's set up right if you apply too much at a time
Great vid thx, my paint can only be thin max 10% for my project. But HF has them on sale for $49 this weekend. I can't go wrong, if it doesn't work for this project it will for others. Thanks
How’s cleaning can you use minerals and spirits to clean scan you let it sit or will it clog up fast I use a hpvl and does the job. But this looks faster and thicker coats but my sprayer don’t clogg
Perfect Video. Looks pretty simple! I’m gonna have to get one. 🤝. So as long as anything you put in makes it through the strainer in under 50 sec. your good to go? Thanks for sharing!

Hey PatriotDIY - Thank you for taking the time & effort to produce this excellent, easy to understand & follow, video tutorial on your review & use of the Avanti HVLP paint sprayer.
Great video. I have spray my kitchen cabinets and I have many doors. Do you have any videos on how to prep your kitchen for spray painting? masking etc.
While the time-lapse painting was cool, I was hoping to see the real-time spraying. I'm curious about the spray patterns, how fine the paint goes on and covers, etc...
This is a very budget paint gun. Works great for these types of outdoor items. If you want something that can handle finer projects I'd look at the Graco Airless sprayers
Can you say if this will spray upward? You mention pointing the suction hose a certain way for doing ceilings but im guessing it wont work well for a ceiling. Id appreciate your feedback or anyone elses for that matter. Thanks.
Great Video! Thanks! One question I have: When you start off the door and hold the trigger, do you remove your trigger finger and start again as you go back UP the door, or is your finger pressed the entire time once you start?
Thanks for this. Did you have any problems with it orange peeling or running? I’m working with unforgiving primer/solvent mixture and it comes out inconsistently. But I don’t know if that’s from the mixture, or from the volume or pattern settings.
This might be a silly question but can one use the gun to paint ceiling/walls? Seems so much easier and faster than roller and brush. Also, is it special paint needed for this?
I am planning to use this sprayer for spray our wood chairs. But before i paint, i need to spray with primer first, can i use this sprayer for sprsying a primer?😊
Yes it could definatly do that. But you'd have to constantly refill the Canister. For a house you may consider a sprayer with a larger paint container or siphon hose
@ajkr711 polycrylic is water based so I'd think you thin it the same way, just may need more coats. I'm sure you could find that answer on the minwax website
Spray cans.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? the cost for spray can paint is simply ridiculous. Think of this sprayer as a way to get around that. Paint is so much cheaper by the quart or 1/2 gallon or gallon. These are on sale right now for 39 bucks so I'm going to pick one up. Only thing with these is you should pre-strain any paint you put through this thing. Not sure about auto type paints but home type paint often comes with globs that will stop this sprayer up but good. I used to use the large 5 gal bucket strainers on my other high volume sprayer but for this I will use a coffer filter, the fine wire mesh type. Works perfect to pour a quart of paint through at a time and will remove any globstopper uppers. Did not strain my paint on the large airless sprayer and got some of those globstoppers and what a pain. Had to use paint thinner and flush out the system to remove the globs. Happens to you once and if your capable of learning you wont make that mistake again
I bought one to paint a room. Worked perfect out of the box. Make sure you get the paint viscosity right and you will love it.
Did you need to do multiple coats?
You just saved my weekend... Thank you so much for this video. The viscosity cup demo was the most helpful part of this demo.
