What trottie said about turning the ribcage before trying to hit with the arms is gold. I have been doing this with my irons and I'm hitting them so much better. Driver is still a work in progress!
If you want a little bit of assistance with the driver, follow these three things: 1) Instead of driving forward with your weight like you're trying to power an iron, feel like you're turning up and back on the way through, not pushing weight forward 2) Take the club back about 3/4 of the way, amateurs tend to take the club too far back and it forces an over the top swing and a downwards attack angle. 3) When setting up to the ball, take a normal stance and tilt your upper torso back so your left shoulder is a bit higher than the right, will help with the in-out path and a upwards attack angle Hope this helps! - D1 golfer
