    This man is awesome. I love that he’s not holding back on giving Aaron loads of information because he knows Aaron can handle it. He’s a pro athlete. Processing information is something he knows Aaron can do. It’ll be an insult to not give Aaron all this information. Plus it makes Aaron pay attention and not get bored. He engaged him immediately. That’s true teaching and coaching.

      Trottie is a golf genius

  • @method341
    @method341 3 года назад +97

    What trottie said about turning the ribcage before trying to hit with the arms is gold. I have been doing this with my irons and I'm hitting them so much better. Driver is still a work in progress!

    • @PandamoniumAMVs
      @PandamoniumAMVs 3 года назад +17

      If you want a little bit of assistance with the driver, follow these three things:
      1) Instead of driving forward with your weight like you're trying to power an iron, feel like you're turning up and back on the way through, not pushing weight forward
      2) Take the club back about 3/4 of the way, amateurs tend to take the club too far back and it forces an over the top swing and a downwards attack angle.
      3) When setting up to the ball, take a normal stance and tilt your upper torso back so your left shoulder is a bit higher than the right, will help with the in-out path and a upwards attack angle
      Hope this helps! - D1 golfer

      @@PandamoniumAMVs got any tips on wrist hinge? is it better to do it early or late?

    • @method341
      @method341 3 года назад +1

      @@PandamoniumAMVs btw I agree with tip #1 - I have been leaning into my left foot way too early and it stops me from rotating and then I have to early extend.

    • @PandamoniumAMVs
      @PandamoniumAMVs 3 года назад +5

      @@method341 For wrist hinge I tend to barely hinge my wrists taking it back and let the club lag through my downswing. Think of it like a catapult, my body is letting the club do most of the work and I can still get 115+ mph club speed. In the first tip I forgot to mention to transfer the weight to the back heel of your left foot on the follow-through, that will help prevent leaning into it. (You want to feel like there's 0 weight on the ball of your left foot)

    Trottie was on point this episode. He showed his prowess with coaching and fitting over his interview skills in others. Well done. However the video editor of this video could better take some time to use the data and technology to show us a little more of what is going on. This stuff is gold but add inset of all the numbers of Trackman as well do a down the line tracer and people can more easily see what is going on. This video would be 1000% better if you edited it with those details. Keep up the good work, but continue to improve using the feedback from your viewers.
