Aaron is a 4.6 handicap who, according to this video, is hitting his driver 340 yards and his 3W 292 yards (off the deck). Had no idea he was such a good golfer. Geez.
What's even crazier is that if Aaron worked more on his short game (struggles like most of us amateur golfers on chipping, pitching, bunker play), think how good he'd be then! If he could get his short game down as good as his full shots he'd be a beast on the course! Already has tremendous speed and distance!
@Alex Lindsey i mean yeah but quarterbacks and golfers use the same body parts/mechanics, aaron is just stronger. it makes sense, but yes very impressive nonetheless
@Grit 1000 problem from my experience of playing baseball is that you have to work to break your just about everything you’ve ever been taught in baseball and when it becomes a habit it’s hard once you start your swing not to revert back to those old mechanics.
It’s encouraging to see a top 10 QB of all time struggle with the same things on the golf course that I do. Rodgers is such a quick learner, I really enjoyed this video!
@@MichaelM-to4sg you can have respect for all time greats without having them in your top 3. His swing sure looks better than 90% of the people I see playing around me. Everyone picked up golf because of covid but I can basically predict what the ball will do based on their setup.
Personally I would hate to get a lesson like that during a fitting, what is the point in making like 10 quick swing changes on the day you get fitted for clubs when your swing will most likely revert back to what it previously was within a week or 2 lol.....then you are stuck with clubs you got fitted for a new temporary swing you only had for the day of the fitting, instead of the swing you've had for years. Makes no sense IMO.
@@mrblackrock555 Aaron said he hasn't played golf all year, so you can't say Aaron has shown he is 'committed to improving' as you put it.... Analysis paralysis spin and stop rate doesn’t matter unless your yardage is mastered with each club. Be 10’ short with spin or 10’ long with less spin. Both are less than ideal. It’s the in between yardage with a club that is where the mastery comes in.

Trottie, I'm curious about the comment you made about playing at elevation. Could you elaborate a bit on what you would be doing with the driver at elevation? Increase loft?
I don't know the minute this is in but I will be referencing his first Match in Montana. When Aaron visited the Kingdom the first time I sent him on his way with two drivers. 1 for sea level & 1 for elevation. When you play at altitude you need more spin & the higher you can peak out a driver the further it goes. To be honest I think he still gamed the lower lofted option in Montana because his peak height at times was too low BUT he had the option. Ultimately the final choice on what someone plays always sits with the PLYR.
