- Watch these young cowboys and cowgirls in teams of four simply headrope a steer and let the rope go for a score. This is a timed event. #JRRA #CattleDrive #YouthRodeo #JuniorRodeo #AmericanHeartlands
This Junior Rodeo was sanctioned by the Junior Ranch Rodeo Association #JRRA which allows some of the youngest kiddos I have ever seen to compete in ranch rodeo events. It didn't take long to discover that these youngsters are already showing some good riding and cattle handling skills. And don't worry, there is some adult supervision to assist the less experienced competitors.
I found that I can keep tabs on the Junior Ranch Rodeo Association via their page on Facebook and you can too! - / junior-ranch-rodeo-ass...

This was a good effort from all the little cowpokes!
Love these kids hearts!
watching these cowboys and cowgirls puts a big smile on my face.
This is how you make cowboys. Looks like a blast for them.
Yup, and I talked to a few of the boys and girls with a few questions but asked them all if they play any video games. None said they do. They are learning real-life skills and I think that is a great experience.
Best thing I have seen in a long time. Love watching the kids have fun and be in the Rodeo.
If I had a Son who could rope on horseback at 8 years of age , there wouldn't be a hat in Texas that would fit my "Big" hesd , I'd be so proud !!!!!! LOL Great Video
Keep cowboying, have fun.
My friend named Jayce is a cowboy
