It is amazing how much money these cars are bringing today. They were so much fun! Good to see a really nice example. Most were used and abused, just like the musclecars!
I think original birds head faces the other way, this may be after market decal kit. Bought the same kit for my 78 that I had years ago out of Florida.
Rear discs were added, no rear disc brake car came with rally wheels and hardly saw a 79 with rally wheels, they almost all had aluminum wheels. The 403 with a/c had a 2.41 gear so it was a nice cruiser.
Just an FYI - You could order the J65 option by itself and a few were built that way. So you could get 4 wheel disc with rally II's. But this car has Willwood brakes, so there were added. Window sticker also does not show the J65 option.
@ThomasHegland Very cool, did not know that. I see where historian John Witzke said that 341 Formula and Trans Am had the J65 option in 79 without WS6.
Not going lie beautiful ride but 46k is way to much and no affence but u can't prove milage on a 79 it very well could be but still doesn't make it 46 k and no t tops and me personally im not a fan of the rims but very cool car i lke 77 78 front end and tail lights i sold a 79 for 16 500 that was pretty nice floors and paint just needed interior work ws6 4 disc t top so 46 k is alot may 32 34 k top dollar but good luck someone with no money limits may buy her very sweet ride though great find
Second gens are way over priced in general no matter if it is Camaro or Firebird models. Third gens, while a better value, are getting ridiculously over priced and they are far better overall than second gens anyway.

I had a 1979 Trans Am when I was in my early twenties. White..t-tops camel cloth inside. WS6. Every option but a tape deck. 403. Awesome car.
Me too mine was black
Oldsmobile motor
That has the best Screaming Chicken I’ve seen. I really like the colors against the black paint. No abundance of gold.
Wow! You guys always get awesome trans ams!
Nice Trans Am! 9° wow!

for that price it should have the 455 v 8 big block.
Dam 🔥 car
Pretty hefty asking price. Maybe if it had a 400 with a 4 speed……
Ugly nose cone! 🚘
They weren't even pretty after 78
Way too much money for this one!
Way way,way too much money!
