I'll be honest, I'm seeing this video for the first time like everyone else, only with knowledge of what the bad news was going to be. The video and your lovely comments are just making the tears well up. The three of us are so close, this is a tough pill to swallow. The tears will abate and we'll get down to taking each day as it comes and deal with it. Teaboy knows he's in good hands and knows we will do everything in our power to make sure he has the best possible outcome and care. In the meantime however, and while he can, we'll be making every day count. Im praying that the treatment works and we can keep our amazing dad in good fettle for as long as possible 🙏 ❤. As Jane said, shes so lucky to have such amazing followers - your tge best ❤
Sending a hug Kevin, we have replied to Jane already. Yes, Derek has a loving family and that fact alone is an healing therapy. Each day is precious and trips out making memories and the close sharing of all those you have will help so much. Very sad news Jane. My husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer 3 years ago. He had a gastrectomy and then 4 rounds of chemo. Since then he has lost a lot of weight, and it's taken a lot of adjusting to a different lifestyle and way of eating. He's doing well though so we're very glad he had the operation. Obviously it isn't for everyone. Age could be a factor too. He was 70 when he was diagnosed, and because his cancer was diagnosed as T1a it was worth him having it. It was major surgery and it has changed him. I wish your dad all the very best, and pray he had many more years with you.
I'm sorry to hear this news, Jane. I have a regular prediabetic level blood test once a year, but this year I asked for a PSA blood test check as well. It is worth asking when you're over 60. Take care and give Head Tea Boy our sincerest wishes for further treatment and recovery

I have had cancer of the bladder which was removed along with my prostate and urethra seven years ago. The cancer returned in 2023 and last Christmas I had to lose a kidney as well. Dear Jane. Oh dear, I guessed before you said anything, and hoped I was wrong. Yes, very sad, but, you all have a very positive attitude and you dear Dad must feel like he can deal with this with your love surrounding him. The hospital must be very positive about this or they would not be trying for him. I wish him well and hope the treatment is not too harrowing. My Love and Best Wishes go to you all. I am so very sorry to hear that news Jane. My uncle (83) is in a similar situation. He's the same. No pain or real symptoms. I'm not religious, but I shall offer a wee prayer. You all take care and look after each other. Please don't worry about vids, but thank you for sharing this with us. It's tough, I know. But we're all here in the ether for you. I have prostrate cancer and finished radiotherapy at preston a few months ago, so can relate to your dad, im still feeling down with it all but getting there.
The treatment and help is brilliant and I hope your dad will recover from this setback.
