I recall on the AMERICAN MASKED SINGER, which I watch more, being in Tucson, Arizona, jenny McCarthy admitting they didn't want them all to land on the same guess, especially IF it was right, and would force them to say other guesses. Watching your clip, boy did they come up with dozens of them. More than they bother to here!
In all fairness though, Darren hadn’t been in the public eye for quite some time before then, so I don’t blame them at all for not getting it at first.
He may not have won this season but you gotta admit he did win everyone’s hearts.

He has an astounding voice! How doesn’t he get more recognition??? He should’ve won a Grammy by now. After the Savage Garden days, they buried his solo career. It’s so unfair. He’s also a beautiful person and has an adorable personality.
Such a sad thing that happened. People are still finding out he has a solo career all these Yrs later. Lucky for the internet or I'd never have bwen able to folow his career here in the U.S.
Darrin actually has a youtube show that he's made, it's a comedy about Star Wars being based on real events lol. I'm pretty sure it's on his official channel here on YT. It's hilarious. The guy's talent just never ends.
One my favorite singers from the 90s, I still find him adorable even in his 50s! But for one funny reason, whenever I hear Darren's voice in my head, it somehow makes me want to consume some Cherry Cola instead of Dr. Pepper because of that one line in "I Want You"!

I'm from the USA. Savage Garden was my all time fave. I was always listening to their albums. I loved them and their music so much. Thank you to RUclips. I was brought hear by RUclips and when I saw this I nearly screamed. They actually can double dip so I'm praying he comes on the USA masked singer. I’ve been a fan since the first Savage Garden album-I knew it was Darren since he sung his first note. He’s got such a distinctive voice, I can’t believe that a bunch of Aussies wouldn’t have him pegged from the jump. I don’t believe it, tbh. Pretty sure they’re just dragging it out for the audience.

I will forever consider Darren Hayes has my soulmate. We both have some amazing things in common. I volunteered in the nursery of my church for 2 years. I loved working with young children and my Dad saw how I was the children and would always to me children were my calling and I found out that Darren Hayes was a preschool teacher. And I love creepy things for instance, I have a winter coat that my grandmother gave me and it’s got a big hood on it and I would wear it and then people would come up to me and say I hope you don’t mind me saying this but you hood reminds Me of the Grim Reaper and the name Savage Garden came from The Vampire Lestat which is my favorite book and I cried when I read it. I’ve been fasting with vampire mythology since I was six years old. And there was not very much about vampires back then there was no Buffy the Vampire Slayer twilight vampire diaries I nothing out there at that time except Anne Rice’s books I don’t want to be a vampire. I am a woman, but soulmate doesn’t always have to mean something physical. I knew when I heard the first note that rang from his voice, I knew exactly who it was else can sing like this incredible one man show. His voice will always move into tears. My love for him will never die.
