- After 3 years I can tell you the Tesla screen is not worth it. But I did find a much better fit.

Thanks for sharing! I went with the Vline that turns your existing screen into carplay but it is so laggy and we hate it. It sometimes will randomly reboot and trying to have a conversation on the phone is almost impossible. How does this work with your phone calls? Does it use the stock mic or does it have a built in mic? I am thinking of taking out the Vline and putting this in. Thanks again :)
This is my third GX and every single time I wanted to go with Vline but I never could justify 700 just for carplay. that's why the first time I went with the Tesla screen so at least it looks improved and newer which I also found out was really not very good, but these screens are super reasonable and they really work very good Im happy
These are now going for half off. $500 range. Seems like a good buy
Just my honest opinion after owning it even for $200 I wouldn’t go back to the old unit
I just started watching the new video that Hoovie’s garage put out on the Fisker if you watch the first minute of the video that is exactly how the screen works after sometime it doesn’t.
There not a thousand. And they constantly have firm ware updates.
How does the display connect with the car stereo to play music.

@@faviles56 Bluetooth technology has evolved a lot and our phones are able to connect to a few different devices like to the screen and your car simultaneously
If you do find your music coming out of the little screen instead of your car you’ll just go into your car stereo, settings, disconnect your phone and reconnect it and the sound will come out of your car stereo and you’ll be able to control the volume and switching songs

Hey back again! So I got the unit and I'm having troubles I thought I'd run into.
My Bluetooth connects to both the external screen and GX. However audio is only coming out of the ext screen. My media output is set to the Lexus GX which is the strangest part, even if I switch media output to "this phone" it still keeps playing out of the external speaker. There is not media output selection for the external speaker itself that shows which is even stranger. Any suggestions to get this fixed? I am on a Galaxy S21 Ultra which I would think has the capability to do what you're doing.
