  • Nick is back from a well deserved vacation and back to work on the body. SIlls have been fully fitted and welded in.
Started to fit the sill front end cap to the sill - the front sill end plste if flat and the joining seam of the sill is not - the original factory piece appears to have a leaded joing in this location - we will probably take the route.
Work has started on the rear quarter panel and it is looking good.

I agree with the front face panel weld to rocker without bending , needs to be left as made to match the front wheel splash guards . try reinstall front frame to firewall then test fit splash panel that bolts to frame and 3 bolts on the panel welded to front of rocker. . I used the Moss boot floor and Right and left lower 1/4 panels . they are pressed perfectly to weld to boot floor , pinchweld behind bumper and exact double curve wheel arch . Use curve of rear bumper when welding pinchweld to match . then when car assembled 1/4 panel curve will match bumper curve . If neede I can send pictures as I have finished assembling that on my 1970 series 2 concours restoration .
