Colette you never cease to amaze me. I give you credit in that I am always finding little ways to incorporate nature in my landscape. I have been in constant touch with my friends in NorthCarolina and Florida. Many in NorthCarolina are helping one another due to no obvious roads. They know the area. Many have no water damage. Rather lack of ways for vehicles to get to them. Local people are walking to those areas and taking account of how many people (live and unlive), locations and what they need. Florida is similar except they need to deal with alligators (😬). What is needed the most is water, food, Internet access (Elon took care of this) and assessable roads. Those hit the hardest have moved in with other people. No matter what, Mother Nature will do what needs to be done. We humans must listen.
Colette, I always wonder about all of your lawn/garden statues. I would love it if you showed us all of them one-by-one and tell us of their origins! I have found statuary to be very expensive here in the States. I wish I had more, but I always need to REALLY want it if I'm going to lay out the funds. But you have such an nice, wide selection. I'd love to hear their stories. :)

Hello Collette. I have missed not seeing all your videos lately, and this one popped up on my feed this morning, reminding me how much I enjoy them. I must go back and watch those that I’ve not seen yet. You particularly lifted my spirits today, because I found out Friday that I tested positive for a rare and debilitating disease called amyloidosis. I’ve been tested for so many different things this year with no answers for a multitude of symptoms but was totally caught off guard by this diagnosis. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage and lands and all the wonderful activities you and Patsy get up to. Blessings to you always. 🩷
Very delightful entertainment.As usual 👌...I've done the same with my costume jewellery,, I have a large bathroom that was once a bedroom in my cottage, I have a dresser in it and I've got the necklaces etc all hung up,, so I can see them and as you say enjoy them, instead of them being a tangled mess in a drawer... 👍❤️🤗

Look up ceramic flower frogs. They look like small saucers with holes in them, and are used for keeping plants standing up in the vase. You can diy them using air dry clay.

Yes, I'm another lazy wretch who loves to watch you and other 'Tubers work (Noemi on 'Scandish Home' (in Oregon) and Johanna on 'Johanna's Dream Home' (in Romania) are two of my other favourites!!) I also have Bamboo growing, which I love, but it is VERY tall and in about 8 large clumps. It's great to watch and to listen to, as the winds sough through and the stems crash and creak!! When younger and I had more energy, I would regularly harvest it for the fire :) Also love your earrings and other jewellery - a friend once remarked to me that my own displayed collections were like my own bedroom Art Gallery :) Was good to see your marmalade stone jar as I also have a similar Armavale one, holding my pens here by the PC - except originally from Blackcurrant Jam and I found it in a local Op Shop (thrift store?) I would imagine the bamboo would make terrific garden stakes. We had some holly trees and they were real buggers to work around. What a bargain those dvds are. I like your earring display idea.

Also, you may already know that if you cut out or way back on sugary carbs and any starchy foods you, and of course move more like you are doing, the weight will drop off more quickly. And sounds like you've noticed already you will feel remarkably better. Also waiting a bit longer before you start eating in the morning. And drinking some warm lemon juice in water soon after you awake in the morning. I have personally done these things at 72 and I feel like a million bucks!

My plan for this afternoon is to water my plants and then start putting some old hay around them to protect them from the cold and the drought. Hubby put a new hay bale in the sheep and goat pen and took out the old remnants with his Bobcat. He snapped a couple of pictures of our Border Collie sitting in the driver's seat. She's an enthusiastic Farmhand, lol. Gotta enjoy the last of the warm weather while we've got it! I used to really enjoy watching BBC programming on our PBS channels. I loved that guy on Midsummer Murders. Also liked All Creatures Great and Small, the Brit Coms- Keeping Up Appearances, Doc Martin, and As Time Goes By, and was hooked on Ballykissangel and upset when they killed off Quigley. Poldark was my last favorite Masterpiece Theater and haven't watched since. So many good shows, but now I watch RUclips instead.
The huge water containers - I guess to get in 8 glasses of water a day - or whatever they recommend now 😄 You are looking very stylish while you are working - love those earrings & scarf (believe that is one that you made). Those may be the largest, prettiest holly berries - I've ever seen♥ Love getting treasure bargains at the thrift stores!! Enjoy!!
I enjoy watching while I sit on my bum, but then again I spend most of my time in a wheelchair of late. 😂 Still, it motivates me to get outside when I can and do something useful.
I love seeing real people doing "real work", it's so encouraging. It irritates me enormously to see people with lovely yards but who never do any of the work to take care of it. Someone else is hired to do all that awful manual labor. And then to see these same people going off to the Y or gym to get some exercise and paying for it to boot! Well, duh! Yesterday and today I've been busy moving and spreading the last of one pile of topsoil in order to make room for compost that I bought. I do make my own compost, but only come out with one large garbage can about 30 gallons---kitchen waste combined with shredded leaves. Takes almost a year but it is nice to have around. I have lots of flower beds and my compost just doesn't go far enough so I decided this year to just buy a load (two yards) of compost to top them up a bit. So we will see if that makes a difference.

I use my pruned bamboo for garden stakes . Also they make great curtain rods if left to get taller and thicken . They are quite strong when dry .

Hello Collette. I have missed not seeing all your videos lately, and this one popped up on my feed this morning, reminding me how much I enjoy them. I must go back and watch those that I’ve not seen yet. You particularly lifted my spirits today, because I found out Friday that I tested positive for a rare and
debilitating disease called amyloidosis. I’ve been tested for so many different things this year with no answers for a multitude of symptoms but was totally caught off guard by this diagnosis. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage and lands and all the wonderful activities you and Patsy get up to. Blessings to you always. 🩷
Very delightful entertainment.As usual 👌...I've done the same with my costume jewellery,, I have a large bathroom that was once a bedroom in my cottage, I have a dresser in it and I've got the necklaces etc all hung up,, so I can see them and as you say enjoy them, instead of them being a tangled mess in a drawer... 👍❤️🤗

Would you be amenable to share your juicing regimen you are practicing because I too have a hard time drinking large amounts of fluids (no matter what they are) so I think I personally would benefit by what you’re doing to keep up your energy and cleanse at the same time.

Your hair is coming in lovely! I was sick for a few years and watched every Midsomer murders made up to that point. One of the best shows. Cheeky and so well written and acted. Except for Agatha's work, MM is the ONLY mystery series that I couldn't guess the killer in the first 10 minutes. I love to dream about your woodland. Putter, putter, bread and butter!

Love your idea to hang your earnings & jewelry; my cat would find them charming. Have had to adjust my life since taking in a kitten 2 yrs ago. Your woodland is beautiful as you've planted a future. The work you've done in your kitchen os fantastic, inspiring.

Look up ceramic flower frogs. They look like small saucers with holes in them, and are used for keeping plants standing up in the vase. You can diy them using air dry clay.

Yes, I'm another lazy wretch who loves to watch you and other 'Tubers work (Noemi on 'Scandish Home' (in Oregon) and Johanna on 'Johanna's Dream Home' (in Romania) are two of my other favourites!!) I also have Bamboo growing, which I love, but it is VERY tall and in about 8 large clumps. It's great to watch and to listen to, as the winds sough through and the stems crash and creak!! When younger and I had more energy, I would regularly harvest it for the fire :) Also love your earrings and other jewellery - a friend once remarked to me that my own displayed collections were like my own bedroom Art Gallery :) Was good to see your marmalade stone jar as I also have a similar Armavale one, holding my pens here by the PC - except originally from Blackcurrant Jam and I found it in a local Op Shop (thrift store?) Also, you may already know that if you cut out or way back on sugary carbs and any starchy foods you, and of course move more like you are doing, the weight will drop off more quickly. And sounds like you've noticed already you will feel remarkably better. Also waiting a bit longer before you start eating in the morning. And drinking some warm lemon juice in water soon after you awake in the morning. I have personally done these things at 72 and I feel like a million bucks!

We've had some below freezing temps overnight already, plus we're so dry. My plan for this afternoon is to water my plants and then start putting some old hay around them to protect them from the cold and the drought. Hubby put a new hay bale in the sheep and goat pen and took out the old remnants with his Bobcat. He snapped a couple of pictures of our Border Collie sitting in the driver's seat. She's an enthusiastic Farmhand, lol. Gotta enjoy the last of the warm weather while we've got it!
I used to really enjoy watching BBC programming on our PBS channels. I loved that guy on Midsummer Murders. Also liked All Creatures Great and Small, the Brit Coms- Keeping Up Appearances, Doc Martin, and As Time Goes By, and was hooked on Ballykissangel and upset when they killed off Quigley. Poldark was my last favorite Masterpiece Theater and haven't watched since. So many good shows, but now I watch RUclips instead.
I love Midsomer Murders too. I watched them on RUclips and was entertained all last winter.
The huge water containers - I guess to get in 8 glasses of water a day - or whatever they recommend now 😄 You are looking very stylish while you are working - love those earrings & scarf (believe that is one that you made). Those may be the largest, prettiest holly berries - I've ever seen♥ Love getting treasure bargains at the thrift stores!! Enjoy!!
I enjoy watching while I sit on my bum, but then again I spend most of my time in a wheelchair of late. 😂 Still, it motivates me to get outside when I can and do something useful.

I love seeing real people doing "real work", it's so encouraging. It irritates me enormously to see people with lovely yards but who never do any of the work to take care of it. Someone else is hired to do all that awful manual labor. And then to see these same people going off to the Y or gym to get some exercise and paying for it to boot! Well, duh!
Yesterday and today I've been busy moving and spreading the last of one pile of topsoil in order to make room for compost that I bought. I do make my own compost, but only come out with one large garbage can about 30 gallons---kitchen waste combined with shredded leaves. Takes almost a year but it is nice to have around. I have lots of flower beds and my compost just doesn't go far enough so I decided this year to just buy a load (two yards) of compost to top them up a bit. So we will see if that makes a difference.
Beautiful vlog. Our holly has lots of berries. Hope they last until nearer to Christmas.
