Hey Brenda - good to see you still sangin'! I can tell that most of us up in here are Purple Rain-era Prince fans (at the very least). This song is definitely not that. I get the sense that many folk won't be satisfied until you're back in a pink camisole grinding to an 808. I imagine that must be kinda frustrating to deal with. I see your acoustic version of "Blue Limousine" as a way to bridge that gap (and I can't wait to hear it) - but I'm more interested in your new stuff.
wow! i always knew can sing but she has alot of soul in this clip! She is definitely one of the main reasons why "Nasty Girl" had a good hook to the song because her vocals were strong in that song too!

Brenda Bennett was the chain -smokin', tough girl in pink in Vanity/Apollonia 6 (1982-84). It's a shame Prince didn't use her after the demise of "6". The one girl in the group who could ACTUALLY SING. This...once again , kids is REAL MUSIC !!

You'll be pleased to know that Brenda did indeed arrange this tune in an acoustic fashion with the assistance of Mederick Bellaire; we performed it at her CD release show on 9/15/12 in Cumberland, RI at the Blackstone River Theatre. It does now exist, and I will ask if there is video of that tune around to post. Personally, it was one of my favorite tunes of the night. =)
