    Have you had other large-format cocktails? I always love a good Punch Bowl. Reply with your favorites!

    2 things that stood out to me. First, a Tommy's margarita traditionally uses a reposado rather than a blanco. However, I've used really nice Blanco's as well. Second, I've never seen anyone add water to a margarita. Also, try a slice of orange as the garnish in the Tommy's...it's a nice twist.

    Why do you add water in large batch? Can it be made without water?

      I think because typically when you make a drink in a shaker, the ice breaks up and dilutes the drink. But because there is no ice, there is no dilution. So the water is to compensate for that

    I’ve only recently come around to enjoying the Margarita even though I’ve made thousands of them. Quarantine has changed me. Lol. Great video! Cheers! 🥃

    Hello, great video. I have a question, is it okay if I add symple syrup to the agave nectar mix?

    • @LiquidMemoir
      @LiquidMemoir  2 года назад +1

      Hey! You absolutely can, if you want your margaritas on the sweeter side. I find Agave to be rich enough to balance the drink. But feel free to add to taste!

    hey! could you help me out eith proportions?
    my bday is coming up and i will have a 5 L pitcher.
    i was wondering what is the difference taste wise if i dont use orange liqueur for pitcher version?
    if i want to use orange liqueur and homemade simple syrup in pitcher margarita - what are the proportions (ml) for 3-5 L?
    i have never tried margaritas and have no idea if i will even like it haha but i want to make it as perfect as possible! :)

      Hi Jey! Thank you for posting your questions. I would use the recipe for the pitcher that I shared on this video. If possible, I would definitely use agave nectar over orange liqueur.
      For a 5L Pitcher I would do the following:
      6 cups (1,440ml) of a good quality Tequila Blanco. If you need suggestions for tequilas, let me know.
      3 cups (720ml) of Fresh Lime Juice. I would only use fresh lime juice as that gives you the best margarita possible.
      1.5 cups (360ml) of Agave Nectar. This you can find it at your local grocery store
      3 cups (1,440ml) of cold Filtered Water
      Simply add all of the ingredients in your pitcher, give it a quick mix with a spoon, seal it and place it in the fridge for at least a couple of hours or until chilled.
      Once ready to serve, simply take your pitcher and serve it over glasses filled with ice (salt on the glass is optional) and enjoy!!!
      Let me know how it goes when you decide to try it. I hope you and your guests enjoy this!

      @@LiquidMemoir thank you for your answer! ❤️
      i wanted to use orange liqueur and simple syrup because i am more of a sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol. 😄
      tried a margarita today and it is not my cup of tea but it will be a themed party so margarita is a must.
      was wondering - would it be any good if made with watermelon or strawberries?

    • @LiquidMemoir
      @LiquidMemoir  3 года назад +1

      Watermelon goes great with Tequila! I don't have a specific recipe for something with watermelon. But you can always play with the recipe. I would use less fresh lime juice and use about the same amount of watermelon juice. The idea is to have 4 parts tequila 2 parts juice and 1 part sweetener.
      But you can add more sweetener as well in the original recipe I gave you and that may be a bit better for your palate. Orange liqueur tends to be dry in comparison to using Agave. If you haven't had a margarita with only, tequila lime and agave, you should give it a try. Still busy and sour but has more sweetness to it than orange liqueur.
