Nothing gets me more pumped than feigning excitement over slight tweaks to a glorified box for my computer hardware. Seriously, I’m on the edge of my seat, just itching to fake interest in the next batch of pointless content
Not really interested in tower cases, would love to see some reviews for 4U rack mount cases, options are very limited and costs or crazy. 4U units that have good air flow or able to mount liquid cooling solution. For those of US that have several computers, towers just take up way too much space, rack mount is the way to go (SysRack).
I bought the Fractal Design North not because it had wood but because it looked good. The wood is well integrated into the design and it works as a general concept. Simply including wood somewhere on your case doesn't make it look good. Seeing most of the new wood cases, it is just blind trend following. Really makes me appreciate manufacturers with original and well thought out designs.
Also an owner of the Fractal North (I saw it for the first time in this channel, btw). Cannot agree more. Many of these new cases trying at integrating wood are missing the point. Concept goes first.
I am going to stick my neck out and say all of them can keep high end hardware within operating temperatures. There will be about 5 degrees difference from the best to the worst that will represent 0% difference in performance. Just buy whichever you like the look of which can fit your hardware inside.
You think a guy who has tested 10,000 cases would actually need to test a case to tell if it’s good or not? I don’t even need to test a case to tell if it’s good or not.
“The cases we’re looking forward to the most in 2024” would of been a reasonable title Personally, I can’t wait to see the new NCASE M2 which should be coming out soon but that’s just coz I’m a bit small form factor / ITX nerd.
I wish manufacturers would offer up more mATX cases. Every since realizing I dont need a full ATX mb all my builds since have been mATX and I love the smaller case size too. mATX case options feel lacking though.
I feel that bro, I just wrote that he didn't covered my recently purchased case. It's an awesome low key elegant + compact mATX case. Fishtank style dual glass combined with a gorgeous pearl black matte paint, supporting 360 aio, plus reverse intake fans included and full filter meshed but invisible from outside.
The A3-mATX is the perfect case for us who prefer mATX, but most of the time, the bigger channels with give you form over function. *Smaller case *Fits 10 120mm fans and 2 360mm radiators *Majority mesh design with option tempered glass side (if that's what floats your boat or find your lost remote) *Fits GPU up to 415mm depending on PSU orientation For me, the bigger issue is finding an mATX board that doesn't compromise, especially AMD.
I can't believe Mr Burke accidentally broke the back of his skull whilst assembling a test bench then did it again while reaching for a phone, how clumsy of him. We can only hope he learns to be more careful should he ever wake up from that coma.

Hey Steve and the Nexus Team. Im wondering if you could do some Old vs. New cases comparison between well... new cases and cases from like ten years ago, when we had interesting designs like the NZXT Phantom series or simply cases that were absolute Behemoths like the 820 (which you had reviewed back then as well). It would be really interesting to see how they hold up today and maybe find out how "future proof" cases really are.
Have you considered doing reviews of workstation/NAS/tower server cases? With at least 8 drive bays, in the review looking at air flow while fully populated, ease of access to drives, and comparing the compactness/massiveness of the overall case.
I would also love this! Compare noise volume and noise type of a fully running NAS. Does high airflow end up letting all the drive noise thru? Do insulated panel cases actually find a noise and temperature sweetspot? I want to know!
Silverstone not realizing that Alphacool makes a 3x180mm rad in a case that large is such a missed opportunity. I could say the same about the 9000D but it's much easier to forgive when you can fit 4pcs of 4x120.
Yes I've been wanting something just like the Be Quiet Light Base 900 sorta bummed not out till October but will eagerly await a case review in the Horizontal position Thanks for everything you do for the Community😁
23:40 Imagine Boeing's relief, as Steve's comment allayed concerns that they were about to face a GamersNexus level safety recall investigation over the 737 Max
I have to say the array of case choices these days is really impressive...and the prices seem very reasonable in this era of ubiquitous inflation. Thanks for a great presentation on all of this!
2:20 Hands up if you remember a time when having a magnet _anywhere near_ a PC was a terrible idea. ✋Not a dig at GN -- those badges look awesome -- just astounding how times have changed. My gaming rig "still" has spinning magnetic media in it, and I wouldn't have thought twice putting something like that on my case today.
Yeah, definitely got my eye. I'm done with 120mm case fans. Got enough of those with 011DXL case. I'm curious how large radiator that can fit, and if it fits radiator for GPU as well.
I really appreciated the design of the HS01(not mini) with the cave-in design, allowing for what seems to be dual chamber case without comsuming extra space. It had very unique design and the announced price was staggeringly cheap too for the quality offered. I wished it was featured in the video too😢.
I want to see more cases like (or an upgrade to) the Fractal Design Torrent. Something with massive 3 180mm fans up front, on the bottom, and room for cables and aio’s and hard drive + ssd space. Since the Torrent is basically made for liquid cooling, which is strange considering all the fan functionality. Would’ve loved to see a video comparing all the cases and doing cooling tests like previous years
Just built mine in a white Shadow Base 800 case with 7 white Arctic P14 ARGB fans, 3 of which are on an Arctic LFIII 420. Absolutely love this case, and it doesn't have any gimmicks like fish tank look or fans on the same side of the motherboard blowing air into glass instead of toward components.
Where is my favorite one - thermaltake CTE E550 TG with the whole motherboard layout turned on 90 degree's with I/O at the top. I liked that clean setup and easy acces to ports.
I'm very interested in the Light Base 900, hope there will be a test video for it when it's released. I'm using a Fractal Focus 2 right now and it has great airflow but I've never like that the power supply is not hidden in any way and the space behind the motherboard tray is imo way too little for a modern case.
The light base 600 has replaced my old Jonsbo Mod 1. After 2 weeks of use, I would like to point out a weak point. When closing the hard disk cage, there can be unwanted pressure on the power supply cables, which led to boot problems for me. So please be more careful than I was with cable management. Ultimately, full marks for this fantastic product!
I really liked what Phanteks had this year. I'm in love with the new Evolv X2 and the cable combs. I also really enjoyed seeing Antec make a comeback. I still love my Antec 900
Honestly, the start of the show this year for me was thermaltake's Ceres 350, specifically the racing green variant. Looks so refreshing with those colors after an endless supply of black and white cases
Same, my current ITX case only fits a 2 slot card, looking for a GPU upgrade next generation and will likely need a new case to fit it. the Era 2 is looking like a great option.
Corsair 9000 D case looks awesome. I can’t wait for the review on it. With a case that Big. I bet you can put. Two ATX motherboard in it. Can’t wait to see more of this case..
those pins are awesome, and I bought them as soon I saw it. happy to show some gratitude for the awesome content the team works hard for, and getting something awesome in return! cheers guys!
I would buy the thermaltake TR1 as it is shown in the video. I would not be moving it, it would be a center piece pc for me with that look in that colour.
The Lancool 207 will be mine! I currently have the Lancool III which is too big for my liking, so I've been looking for a smaller case to downsize my pc. Lancool 207 seems to fit the bill perfectly. Can't wait for its release.
After i changed my CPU from a 5500 to a 5700x3d I was actually looking for a new case as my previous one had horrible airflow, and thanks to your computex lian li video, i decided to look at them. Found a lancool mesh II performance, used, for 50€, plus today i ordered the arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 as well, so my cpu won't suffer as much anymore, and a decent mobo with good vrms as thosr were overheating as well. So, as a noob pc user, i want to say thank you for all the stuff you do and teach people, I'm learning a lot, and will make a second build soon using my older components 😁😁
I really like the different case orientations of the Light Base 600, however, it doesnt look like any of them suit having the case backed up against a wall without blocking ventilation
Be Quiet Light Base 600 interests me the most. Laying the mobo down horizontal seems like a great idea to me because it puts the gpu in a vertical position without needing a riser cable. I will probably be getting one for my next build.
I am at a point in my life where the best case choice for me is a black box, that is deathly silent, has great airflow, and the only LED I can see is the 7 segment error LEDs on the mobo.
If you're still in an office cubicle, plain and functional seems ok. My PCs have all sat where I can see them. Functional yes, but not plain. Carbide Air 540, Fractal North and finally a bit of RGB with the King 95. All 3 have issues roof mounting the thicker Arctic LFII and III AIOs. "Normal" sized fans and radiators, no problems with vrm clearances.
I'd be in the market for the small Silverstone FARA 515XR .. would be great to fit older (retro) hardware in and still have the benefit of using a modern case with glass sidepanel and good airflow. Since most likely an SSD or the like will be used and older mainboard/gpu you don't need the lenght of newer or older cases. Would definately buy at that pricepoint! Really hope they bring it to the EU market (and US).
The be quite! cases look so good! As someone who loves wood furniture on stuff im happy this is becoming a trend. The only thing that sucks is i built my firsr PC last year. Is this what happens as a PC gamer, you build your PC then later other cool parts come out shortly after and makes you want to replace it?
are thermaltake cases good now? ten years ago or so they were said to be cheap copycat cases, but they seem to be the only ones here making case with actual hard drive space and 5 1/4 inch bays
Helping build my friend a pc and he didnt want a big case like i used so the g400a is what im looking forward to the most, hoping to see good results if you test it. Also the fans they are doing look amazing. hopefully fits a 4080 super in it with enough airflow and width for the cable, may have to do a gigabyte card with the indented cable if its not wide enough
I'm always so happy seeing the amount of videos that are self sponsored by the shop slowly rising. I love that this Chunnel is becoming more self sustained!
Really interested in the NCORE 600, my only concern being weight. I bought the HAF 700 EVO two years ago and it's a fantastic case, love the look and how spacious it is, but it's so absurdly heavy that it was a nightmare to relocate during my recent move. The case itself is near 50lbs empty, 60+ likely with everything else, but it does look great.

The Fractal Pi North case would look great as an external DAC or USB hub, to go along with the PC case.
even without the big north, i'd buy a thunderbolt/usb 4 dock shaped like this
I would love to have a tiny chassis for my audio interface.
I would love to have that to house some of my amplifiers for work.
they should really consider doing a range of different things with that design. the north family!

Great showcase. I would like a mention of back to front motherboard compatibility since I would like to do that my next build.
I want that Era2 so bad. I hope it does well in testing. That Antec Performance 1M looks clean
I love the highly efficient budget cases! Thumbs up.
Very cool video!
Any chance of getting a review for the new Jonsbo/Jonsplus Z20?
are thermaltake cases good now? ten years ago or so they were said to be cheap copycat cases, but they seem to be the only ones here making case with actual hard drive space and 5 1/4 inch bays
These improved airflow designs are really good to see :)
Haha. A blood bath... Montech took the win this year. Oof, that XR Mesh... for $70! 👍👍👍👍
