    Want to call out the always excellent camera work from Mrs. Outlaw. Get all the angles for visual reference, and even manages to capture your breathing, perfectly capturing and encapsulating the fundamentals of a great shot for easy consumption. Life has me missing more trips to the range for practice than not, so getting the most out of the vicarious experience that I can is always a blessing. Thank you both for all the wonderful information and entertainment.

    Almost feel like some of these guns are getting bigger than they need to be for carry. The idea of the original 365 was the insane size to capacity. These new guns now are just getting back to glock 19 size grip length wise, which for me personally is the hardest part to conceal.

    • @chrism4008
      @chrism4008 2 года назад +32

      Thats EXACTLY what my issue with these ones is. I can conceal the length of a full size 1911 pretty easy and comfortably, except that big ass handle always pokes out cause I'm a skinny bastard.

      Yeb, SIG went full circle from 365 to 320 👍🏻

    • @brighthought11
      @brighthought11 2 года назад +34

      so for me, for example
      a p365 is way too small, a p365XL with magguts 14+1 pinky base pad is about as small as I would want to go,
      I can carry a cz 75 p01 / g19 size gun all day as a perfect "full size compact"
      so this model makes the grip slightly bigger, I have seen comparisons and it is virtually the same dimensions as a 43x/p365XL, except it has 25% more capacity,
      comparing it to even a g19 or a 1911 is silly because it is way thinner, it has the 1913 rail built in which those micro compacts don't have
      it has optic cut and night sights + a comp..
      it seems perfect for alot of people, I would have preferred the XL barrel but have never shot the comp.. so I can't say how effective it is.. if it works as intended, or if they can find a way to comp the XL 3.7" barrel, it pretty much kills everything in its class, its modular with the p365/X and XL
      so if you desire a smaller frame, have at it!
      some people feel more comfortable with a slightly bigger pistol (full size grip) for when/if they really had to use it, they would be more effective! while still being smaller than anything in its class

    SIG bringing the heat. I'll stick to my 43X MOS with the shield mags, it's still the sweet spot imo, but to each their own. Whatever it is, just carry it, build the habit, and train with it so you're not a liability when/if you need it.

  • @axlplayer14
    @axlplayer14 2 года назад +24

    I would like to see a 15 round magazine for the macro that actually fits flush in the grip. The 17 round magazine adds another quarter inch to a grip that’s already pushing it as far as concealment.
    Also my preference would be for a slightly longer barrel. A full length grip with a 3 inch barrel seems rather silly. A longer slide with a built in comp wouldn’t effect concealment and give ballistics that better match the size of the gun.
    But, I do like how innovative and current sig is being with development. They put our way more interesting new designs than anyone else and are killing it in sales.

    Call me crazy, but the gun I think Sig should release next is a TXG version of this frame with a 4.3” non-comped slide. Reason being, this would make a good competition pistol, which Sig is definitely into, particularly for women and others with smaller hand size. One major overlooked feature of this version is that the magazines can accept mag extensions which other P365 mags could not. This opens up an entirely new market segment for this model.

    Whenever a firearms manufacturer doesn't send you a Test and Evaluation firearm it only increases your legitimacy as a fair and impartial reviewer. It's worth noting that a lot of RUclips reviewers not only received a T&E pistol, but they were also invited to the introduction event. How impartial can you be when your being invited and courted to review a new product release (assuming that your expenses are being paid for)? Your review of this pistol is probably one of the few and Honest assessment of this firearm.

    Thanks for the review brother. SIG is working hard to come out with great stuff. To the people complaining about the size, I understand the concept of concealment, but would you rather have a tool you feel comfortable with whenever you find yourself in that stressful situation, or something that is fully concealable but your sweaty and shaky hands cannot handle properly. Look if you have small hands sure, get yourself a tiny gun, but if you have mid to large size hands, this is a compromise for a better handle when shit pops up.

  • @Wizop

    P365x is my favorite version. Flush 12rd mags. And with mag guts u can make it 14rd flush fit. With the same size as the original p365. Best “conceal” pistol. They were going small with high capacity now the guns are getting bigger and I’ll carry my g19 over anything if it’s around that size. That’s y the original p365 is so great.

    So concealed carry is supposed to have a short grip with a short or long barrel & slide. Most videos I've seen were of a print issue with large grips not the long barrel & slide, and so Sig has done just the opposite with this gun, large grip and short barrel & slide. If the P-365 X 17 round mag grip had 3.7-inch barrel & slide, I believe it would make an all-round good choice for home defense and self-defense carry. This is why I have chosen the Hell Cat Pro with a plus 3 round extension for my home defense all around one gun choice and the factory 15 round mag for carry. Oh, and I have owned the P-365 and P-365 XL. The Hell Cat Pro could have a little more roundness to the grip, but it's most definitely not as bad as the Glock's grips. I've yet to find the perfect grip for my medium hands. Though I would say the P-365 XL was the best of all grips I've tried, except maybe for the Bersa BP9cc. Just my opinion's like everyone else.

      It stands to reason that the magazine was the limiting factor and once Sig really dialed in the thin magazine it set the stage for the development of the new micro 9s. After the P365 got a lot of complaints from man-hand people they naturally made bigger versions. Glock did have those "slim frame" versions but if I recall correctly they were single stack guns and not that much thinner. The Walther PPS was among the first 1" carry guns but again the capacity wasn't there.

    You would think that companies like Sig would want to get a good review from guys like you. Your honest with your viewers and tell it like it is. Look at Shadow systems and how they handled the problems with the one you had. They want a good product out and will fix what they need to. Sig, while having good firearms, seems like they only want good reviews despite the problems *cough* drop safety issues *cough* so they send to those reviewers that they know will kiss the ring.
