Still do a bit when I see her play that solo in this video lol. babe for eternity imo and this song is probably the best duet ballad from that era. Lita and Ozzy in their prime, I mean come on
Guess I'm old because it isn't history to me. I had some friends that formed a very good rock band. They would promote their own shows, they hired the Runaways to open for them two times. Being I had a truck I would help them haul, setup, do the sound check and break down. I would be there 5-6 hours for a 3-hour show. So, I hung out with the Runaways, cool girls they were all teens at the time and were pretty good, Joan & Lita obviously improved with time. Shortly after opening for my friend's band, they signed with a label and got pretty big. especially in Japan.
Yes, his voice is definitely unique and instantly recognizable. I always thought that he could only sing rock but on his show with his son Jack, he sang a little without any music and I was blown away.
Not everyone can recognize Ozzy's voice..for the longest time my roomie never knew that was Ozzy doing the backing vocals for Black Label Society's 'Stillborn'..I had to point it out to her and make her listen really closely lol
Lita Ford made her breakthrough with the Runaways with Joan Jett and Cherry Curry and a couple of others. Has a had a long career 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥 There is a quite a good movie about The Runaways from 2010
Wow!!, This was the first time listening to you and I totally feel you have a very definitive spot in some kind of area where you can thoroughly let your impressions guide you ! You are really good and I hope you have a chance to follow your abilities! Keep on doing this -- you have a wonderful mind set for this kind of thing. (And you're Right about Ozzy and Lita!!)
You need to start diving into ozzy. There’s songs that freaking SHREDD!!! Over the mountain, Mr Crowley has one of the best guitar solos in it. Back on earth album is incredible. Come on!!!
I was 15 in 1983 when Ozzy released the album 'Bark At The Moon'. I knew of him from the Black Sabbath days, but never took much notice. Bark At The Moon was the 1st single he released from the album, but the 2nd single made me a fan. He did a ballad called 'So Tired'. Loved his stuff ever since 😊
I was 10 in 1983, we had a Christmas concert at my school. Myself and friends did an airband to Crazy Train with a back drop of a mental hospital. I think we shocked the audience and staff. Good luck creating those memories today.
@@pudlmaker was 10 also at that time, and like aria. Bark at the Moon album sold me on Ozzie forever. (of course I'd know the more popular Sabbath stuff, but ' Bark ' was " My choice " lol never regretted that choice ever.
If you liked this song, you REALLY need to check out the remake done by David Draiman and Lyzzy Hale. It was a side project of Draiman's with a band called Device. Lyzzy and David kill it on the cover.
I love this video. It was one of my favorite music videos in the 80s and Lita was one of the hottest rock chicks (no disrespect) in the 80s and she still is beautiful today. Ozzy, well he is Ozzy and I’ve been a fan since his early Black Sabbath days. Great reaction video. Thank you.
Interesting fact, Lita, Ozzy, and Ozzy's wife Sharon were over at Lita's abode one night drinking. Sharon decided to head home and left Lita and Ozzy playing pool and still drinking heavily. This song came out of that night of drinking and playing pool. Also, I probably listen to this particular song once a week. To this day, I still get goose bumps.
I think this is the best rock duet ever in rock music this song is off of Lita Ford's 1988 album Lita all 9 songs on this album is amazing from the first song to the last.
Fun fact: Ozzy and Lita wrote this together in one night, drunk out of their minds. Sharon was like "I'm out for the night, y'all do you" and they did, and this was the result. For those who know, yes I learned this from the Professor of Rock.
I have vague memories of listening to this song on a jukebox at a Pizza Hut in the 80's... back when people went inside and sat down to eat pizza. Loved the song, wasn't that familiar with either artist at the time. Ozzy Osbourne had a lot of 80's solo hits, but you may want to go back to the start of his career, with Black Sabbath around 1970. And I see the Device cover of this song has been mentioned, from 2013. David Draiman and Lzzy Hale, with a more industrial sound.
You look at how people dressed in the 1980s and wonder "What the fuck were we all thinking", then you look at Lita and think "Damn, I wish women still looked like that", lol. So just a little P.S.A. - Ladies, the rock-chick look is still hot, feel free to dress like that if you should feel so compelled.
Lita was with the Runaways, her and Joan Jett, until she went solo. Ozzy was with Black Sabbath many years, then the fired him and he started his solo career. They did so good together on this song, it was on the radio, alot back in the day, when it came out
This is one of my alltime favorite rock ballads, i seen ozzy & lita live on mtv music awards etc brings up a lot of memories good times 4 sure 🤘 ROCK ON 🤘
This song was put together in Lita's basement after a night of shooting pool with Ozzy. Sharon was her manager at the time. they were hanging out Sharon got bored and went home by morning Lita & Ozzy had the song done and recorded in her home studio.
One of the most emotional driving songs I have ever heard. In a sad state of emotion. Well who knows what it can do to one’s heart! This song is one for the ages
Lita was a huge fan of Ozzy Osbourne and asked his wife Sharon who was his manager and one of her friends if Ozzy would sing this song with her and he said yes! Lita said this was a dream come true!
This song was so huge in the late 80s , they played it constantly. Ozzy and Lita wrote it together one night drunk at Ozzy's house and it went so viral. Lita Ford was a rock Goddess 😍 as a teenager I had posters of her on my wall and Ozzy is forever the Prince of Darkness 🤘
It wasn't at the house it was in the studio they were just Jamin all night. Ozzy's wife was Luta's manager at the time. All 3 went out, Pam got tired and went home. When she woke up and found out they didn't come home yet she was angry that they stayed out all night. They never figured the song would do well. It was just a filler song to complete an album
Oh wow! This is one of those songs that takes me back to a specific time/place. Some time in 1989/90 some guys from work went down to Destin FL on a fishing trip. Late one evening, my buddy Ken and I were sitting on the dock behind the Greenwood Motel, trying to catch some crabs, when this song came over the sound system of the water park next door. Why it was only this song that I remember, I'll never know; but it always takes me back to that moment in time.
I've always been a huge fan of Lita Ford. I think a good way to try and summarize her voice is saying that she is like a hard rock/metal version of Stevie Nicks. Like I've seen a couple of other posters say, Lita was definitely a crush for me growing up as a teenage boy in the mid to late '80s. I remember a bunch of people being in love with the pop star Samantha Fox around the same time, but when I saw Lita Ford... It was like Samantha who? As talented as she is beautiful, Lita Ford is an amazing artist. Hope to see you check out a few more things by her (and Ozzy too of course!).
One of my all time favorite songs, has followed me throughout all forms of music playlists, and damn im old so please dont ask about the early years 😂😂😂😂😂
As I recall, this song and collaboration was completely unplanned, and was written during an evening of heavy drinking together. Funny, I'm never this creative when I'm drunk (nor sober). 🤔
I wrote about it above. Sharon was doing several side projects after Randy Rhodes death...and Lita was one of them. Lita showed up unexpectedly...Ozzy and Lita started drinking...Lita picked up a guitar...not even hers...and just started playing as musicians do. As the night went on...Sharon went to bed. When she woke up in the morning...this song had been born. People need to understand...Sharon thought Ozzy was going to kill himself with his addiction. He literally had done nothing since Randy's death. So in a way...Lita helped saved Ozzy
Finally s-one react to my all time favorite song. Thank you. When this songs came out I was 12 years old and I love it immediately. Next day I ran into a record store and bought myself this LP. Guess what my parents said? 🤬🤬🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact, this song was just a random jamming session. Ozzy was at Lita's house, and she had her own studio. Ozzy had a melody in his head and Lita wrote the music. They finished the song while drinking all night. Ozzy told Lita that she can have the song and do whatever she wanted with it. Next thing you know, it became a big hit.
I remember when this song came out, I was a young 14ish years old, I bought the cassette single and it pretty much lived in my stereo for about 6 months. Still one of my absolute favorite songs to this day. 🤘😎🤘
Oh my god I had such a crush on Lita Ford! I don’t know many young men in the 80s that didn’t. She wrote this song and when she went to record it she realized Ozzy was recording I. The studio next door and asked Ozzy to come sing it and he said sure let’s go. And rock history was made. You need to do Lura’s song Kiss Me Deadly.
Very possibly still the greatest duet in metal of all time. I feel like it’s a totally classic tune, and that they teamed up and got it solid and strong. People have pointed out how soulful Lita’s singing is, and with playing an instrument she’s a double threat. While Ozzy possesses one of the most unique voices in the metal world.
Ahhhh... The Prince of Darkness singing about, You say you love me, but would you die for me? Then close your eyes for me. This duet and song kind of resurrected his career.
OMG! There is sooooo much waiting for you if you have not listened to Ozzy and plan to. Solo, a plethora of excellent music. Also, you probably know he was the original lead singer for Black Sabbath. Same thing. A plethora! Love your reactions. Hoping you'll be reacting to more Ozzy and Black Sabbath
Ozzy Osbourne was the lead singer for a group referred to as Black Sabbath. You might want to check them out because they are some hard-core rock ‘n’ roll.
The great and late Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead actually wrote this song. I never knew , I only found out like 20 years after it first came out playing music trivia. LMAO.
We all had a crush on Lita back in the 80s/90s lol

I was around 12 when this came out
Still. .☺️
I saw her in concert at like 13 or so. Schwing!! lol right after this song came out. She was touring with Cinderella.
A great Lia Ford song is Kiss Me Deadly. Brief history lesson, Lita was in an all female rock band The Runaways with Joan Jett in the late 70-s
Hello Daddy. Hello Mom.

I loved the movie about the runaways
Ozzy was giving his “Prince of Darkness” look. 🧛♂️
Ozzy has one of those voices that is unmistakable...You hear one word and you know its him!!!!!!
You can never not recognize Ozzy's voice. One of the greatest!!!❤😂
Yes, his voice is definitely unique and instantly recognizable. I always thought that he could only sing rock but on his show with his son Jack, he sang a little without any music and I was blown away.

Not only do their voices match perfectly, but their hair styles are in perfect sync!😂
She is so beautiful and he is the man
Another great duet to check out is Rob Halford and Doro Pesch doing "Total Eclipse of the Heart"
This song still gives me chills even 30 years later.
36 but who’s counting. I remember when this video was all over MTV and they could both really hit those notes pretty hard.
Ozzy used to do that intense face all the time. It's one of his signature looks. It got to the point where you'd be disappointed if he didn't do it.
That's his bat shit crazy look. 😂

- Back on Earth is the song from The Ozzman Cometh album (actually from Ozzmozis sessions)
- Down to Earth is the album
@@glebivanov6323 that’s right. I remembered it after I posted it and just didn’t care enough to fix it lol

Ozzy sings from His Soul. Thats why I have Loved Him since 1970.
Ozzy has many great songs... This is just one in his catalog of great hits 😎
I had a lita ford poster in my room all through junior and high school. Her and joan jet were two of my first crushes.😊
Great duet The prince of darkness ozzy and the queen of rock lita Ford Who at 65 is still beautiful?still rocking out
Crazy Train is one of his best solo works with the amazing Randy Rhoads on guitar (Randy died in a plane crash while on tour with Ozzy in 1982)

Lita drools, who this other guy interrupting us.....

This is a hauntingly beautiful song, that last dissonant note in the guitar solo always shoots me straight through the heart.

Lita Ford's song "Lisa" is my favorite song of hers, it was written as a tribute to her Mom who was very sick with cancer at the time.
