    Thanks for a vid. I think by now I have been watching all videos about 2023 2-strokes. After having TC250 from 2018 and few newer FC350-s I decided to go back to 2023 TC250. Got it yesterday and hope to break it in during next few days. As a D or maybe C lever weekend rider only I am looking an emotion from mx track. And to be honest my old 2018 TC250 offered it by far more than any 4 stroker. So my expectations for 2023 bike are very high too.
    The weird 4stroke throttle feeling was exactly the same I felt first time, while sitting in my new TC. I guess it just takes time to get used.
    Another thing noticed while changed plastics yesterday - the amount of ECU-s, sensors and wiring under the seat and under the plastics.

    I would be really interested if you need fine tune - and how to if so - the EFI ?mapping? if you change the pipe or get some egine mods or want to leverage race gas. BTW if you record GoPro footage in 1080p (FHD) and render your vid in 1080p it will look like crap on RUclips. You can try to render it with 2560x1440. For some reason it will look way better then on RUclips. As refrence you can see my last vid, GoPro was 1080p but I redered it 1440p and it looks acceptable.

      The white mapping is great for the ruts and slippry smooth surfaces, but it has way less power than the green mapping in higher rpms. Green map pulls stronger than last years bike, but the throttle control in the first 30% of twisting the throttle is not great. I wish there would be a mapping that is in between. First half of the white mapping and second half of the green mapping would be awesome

    What’s difference between TPI and Fuel Injection?

    • @colewaller6613
      @colewaller6613  Год назад

      So TPI is on one of the woods models bikes. It’s a fuel and like oil injection, where it mixes the oil into the fuel for you, but i heard many problems with them . TBI is throttle body injection, super similar to a four stroke and you mix the oil in your gas yourself. I assume to handle the speed and acceleration changes easier than the TPI did

    • @Jacksonflax
      @Jacksonflax Год назад

      TPI is transfer port injection, This TBI (Throttle body injection) is a more tradition form of fuel injection. TPI was just introduced as a cope to meet emissions standards, And those bikes are pretty choked up and detuned from the factory, It's also just a less reliable and more complex system. The TBI on the new MX bikes is worlds superior.

    Huge respect to KTM for keeping the 2 strokes alive. But in total 2 strokes are not great.
    I don't own a 2 stroke. But I own a classic from the early 2000's.
    2004 KTM 525sx. I will ''never'' get rid of this bike. Not for any 2 stroke on the market. It's the easiest bike to wrench on and it's a damn 4 stroke. Yes you heard me. It's a 4 stroke.
    The waterpump is not down below like any other motocross bike. The valves are easy to deal with cus you don't have to take the whole damn thing off. Just open the 2 covers for the intake and exchaust and there you go. 10mm wrench and 0.12mm feeler cauge and you're done. Simple and easy.
    Now when it comes to 2 stroke and the damn powervalves it's more hard to work on. It's a damn pay in the ass and no one tells you that. Everybody just goes blindly ''It's so easy to work on 2 stroke''. NO it's not! Everything except the piston you pretty much got the same deal like any other motocross bike. And I rather set the valves on this big 525 4 stroke then to fix a damn powervalve. It's more expensive too, Nobody tells you that either. They just keep quiet in that 2 stroke lie about everything is so easy.
