Every driver/operator I’ve every had conversation with that does work for Reliable says they have never worked for any better trucking logistics company owner than Tom Abrams. The most common comment was “If you are always giving 100% effort for the company, Tom makes sure that same 100% effort is given to keep you successful.” Pretty cool. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
So I'm an ex honda formula 4stroke off shore monohull powerboat racer from the UK. Steve and Graham(Steve's business partner at Couger raceboats) taught me and my ex girl friend, Rose Lores how to drive a power boat. Legend of a guy. Got nothing but respect and admiration for the guy 💯💪👊 good to see he's still at it and STILL at the top of his game💪👊❤️
Reliable Carriers have Been at The Top of The Enclosed Exotic Car Transport for Many Many Moons 🌙. Aka yrs. We have a couple of friends with Big Sleeper trucks over there.
@@markgilroy5714 True, Billy Mauff still races and is a staple in Supercat. This is RUclips channel that pirates footage from someone else and uses it just to get views. Doubt they even know anything about these boats.

When I lived in America my friend said do you want to try my Apache twin 502’s so high strong 💪 we couldn’t barely keep enough running surface cleavers at 40 feet and being a Ferrari Technician it was so much fun mono hull but trimmed right we were airborne just loved 🥰 big waves 🌊 absolutely the must fun I’ve ever done
Are you sure Class I boats run 200mph??? My understanding is Class I power is limited to 2x1100hp. That power will not take the boats anywhere near 200mph.
I got to 4:34 and quit. This was right after the announcer said these boats run twin 800hp engines. I say a huge 'phooey' to any claim that this large of a boat goes anywhere near 200mph on that power. I also got a very large feeling that I was watching a 45-minute long commercial.
They most definitely do have trim capabilities like tunnel tabs and trim tabs. Putting trim down makes the boat run flat in the water. Raising the tab and drives lifts the boat out of the water
@@brandonthorbahn2405 Yes, but that's not 'on-the-fly' is it? *Just asking because I don't know, I only saw them raising the propellor shaft (was it?) in the video on the dockside. My point is, they can't do something like you mentioned when they're barrelling along in a race, no?
Yes it is possible to trim the boat while at speed, even my seadoo has a variable trim system. Although I have also wondered why these race boats never employ an air spoiler, like the elevators on the tail of a plane. Maybe the trim system in the water is more than enough to keep the bow down and not shoot up into the sky.
@@andyhan5008 I know the design of Donald Campbell's 'Bluebird' is (I say is, because it's been recovered and beautifully restored) vastly different from these modern racing boats, but, you only have to see the violence and utter carnage that can happen if the nose rises too high, even momentarily, trim or not.
@@SceneArtisan oh I have most def seen the insane carnage of what happens when a race boat’s bow rises and lifts off into the air. Like they say THE MOST DANGEROUS MOTOR SPORT (I guess more than motorcycle racing lol). Since it’s literally life and death for the boat to stay on the water, I always thought, why don’t they have air stabilizers as well as trimming the boat. Is it redundant since the hydrodynamic trimming is enough? That’s awesome you got to see the bluebird setup, if you know why most race boats don’t bother with air spoilers I’d appreciate it. Thanks

FYI. These boats with these motors run 125-130 flat out. Definitely nowhere near 200.
Yeah, Class 1 can hit maybe 150 I believe w/ 1100s but super cat is a “no power adder” class so 120-130 probably about right.
We miss the old real offshore races when boats were boats!
My mom got into this after being banned from roller derby. She goes 225mph
Love this!

At least there is no PlayStation controller inside the boat
😂😂
Deep pocket hobby just like air racing
Save the earth! Lmao
It's gotta be nice
This is 15-20yr old footage. None of those teams race anymore.
Yes they do!!.. Teams/sponsors change. WHM is the oldest. Alot of those good old boys still race. And now, the new breed!.. Cheers!

That’s exactly what racing is about! Fall, get back up and go after them!!💪😂
Nothing here folks. Don't waste your time
And I yelled at the TV not to change wheels and spacers!!
So who F-ed up? Sterling? Try mercury next
Well now you know what to check!!
Godjob

Looks like this was filmed years ago . Still a pretty great video .
yes i was at least 17yrs ago i would say i was there.
I can remember back in the day riding my bicycle on the water faster than these rookie wanna be 😅

They run 800s. Super Cat spec. WOT 140mph.. Cheers. And I'm from Toronto!..
The question still is; ‘What Does Racing At 200MPH Look On Water?.
Infinite money pit.
Kind of ironic the only boat that breaks down is named Reliable.
Perhaps airbag suits like MotoGP stars wear may be something to look at, safety wise.
The Unlimited hydroplane boats are faster. Surprised that nobody is running Turbine engines.
Don't come here if you want to know "What Does Racing At 200MPH Look Like On Water?"
@31:22 that's really cool!! to see a spouse supporting the other. Most women wouldn't do that.
What a waste of time that was.
Oh the piles an bad backs 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧⛵️⛵️
Un -Reliable

What gets me is,.. how do these boats NEVER use downforce (reverse) wings to help keep the boats attached to the water's surface?

what year is this like 2008?
long time ago i was there.
This whole show was filmed and they laid a big fat EGG 🥚. SMH 🤦♂️
Top Fuel nitro Hydroplane drag racing is faster and more spectacular in my humble opinion.
😎
There boats are impressive. No way I would ride in one though
At 10:52 - that oil he was pouring (for the oil change) looked so black! What additives make it turn that colour? Anyone?
200? you mean 0!. next time you better follow an other team
Sounds like sabotage to me
