Honestly, i wish more reactors would just sit in the silence they wish to, afterwards. Silence can mean so much, it's exactly why there was no end credit music. Best react award goes to ..☝🏾❤️
I wonder if he remembers the story about that song though. Would've been cool to include a flashback to when Cersei tells the story to Marge (cause the flashback to the scene with Jaime was cool and I've never seen another reactor remember it).
@@HiuchiKiyokoIf I remember correctly, he mentioned it in the beginning when he saw the title of the episode. He was immediately nervous and mentioned something about Margaery. I think he thought it applied to her because of her convo with Cersei.
Reaction channels owe so much to this episode. They existed beforehand, but this is what birthed the majority of them, akin to putting fertilizer in your garden and seeing everything pop up left right and center.
That’s actually pretty interesting. I never heard someone say “she knew Rob was dead cause they killed the wolf”. Love that analogy. Aweeeee I wanna give u a hug ❤❤❤❤
I know, right? As I've been reading through the books (I watched the show first, am now on the third book), one of the most interesting aspects of the story to me is how the fates of each of the direwolves reflect the fates of the Stark children. By this point, it's: Grey Wind and Robb: dead Nymeria and Arya: lost/missing Lady and Sansa: dead for Lady, a symbolic death of sorts for Sansa as she's cut off from her northern heritage Summer and Bran, Shaggydog and Rickon, Ghost and Jon: alive
11 years on since watching this the night it aired, and it still cripples me no matter how many times I see it. There are VERY few cases of characters which I grew as attached to as I did to Robb and Catelyn. My brain still goes through grief stages and hangs around the bargaining step, contemplating the ability to live in some alternate reality where this story continues with them surviving and reuniting with Arya, and what I would do to make that happen. So painful. So good. Whatever opinions people may hold about where this show/story goes in its later years, the front half of the series remains a masterclass in storytelling, and cements the series as one of the absolute greatest productions ever to hit TV.
Barry, my dude, it is very clear it's the first time you're watching. Please ignore the haters. Honestly, if anything, it just shows how much you pay attention. 💕

It was the preview showing specific scenes from previous episodes that made you think about the Freys after they showed Catelyn's unease in the preview. That's why I don't watch any previews or extra crap, including director's explanations. If you want me to think a certain way, put it in the show, not the companion guide.
To say "I've been waiting for this reaction" is an understatement. And, man, did you go through it at the end. This was your OFFICIAL welcome to Game of Thrones.
ygritte was still loyal to the wildlings. when she missed her shot and hit the tree it was because jon called her name and distracted her and she looked back at him and was pissed. then, right before he rode off, he watched her murder an unarmed innocent old man in cold blood. he loved her, but he couldn’t remain with her and stay true to his vows.
It was suggested at the time Michelle Fairley lacked enough screen time to submit for award season. But this is such an acting masterclass. I wish she got nominated. On a lighter note, Rickon would excel at Hogwarts. Family tragedy? Check. Prophetic dream? Check. Pipsqueak? Check.
When I first saw this episode, my mother and boyfriend had already read the books and knew what was coming. They found it highly entertaining and I was just crying 🙃🖤
Jon pushed Ygritte to look like he was fighting her and didn’t want to bring her with him in case of endangering her, it’s a long ride to castle black from where they are and if the wildlings find them together they will kill Ygritte. Better to look like he wasn’t working with her and she didn't know he was a crow
Jon couldn't bring a wildling with him back to the wall. They would kill her and possibly him as well. Even if they accepted her for some reason, she would be forced to fight against her own kind. And welcome to the Red Wedding, possibly the most brutally shocking moment in fiction.

Bro, Jon leaves Ygritte there for the same reason he knocks her hand out of the way when she's about to shoot an arrow at the other wildlings. Because he's decided it won't work for the two of them. He's still loyal to the Night's Watch, and she doesn't fit in that world, nor would she want to, as she hates the Crows anyway. By not letting her shoot an arrow into Tormund or the others, he makes it more possible for her to return to her people. You know he loves her, because he ripped the band aid off now; it'd be much worse for Ygritte to be estranged from the wildlings AND have Jon eventually leave her at Castle Black, which is what would have happened if he'd gotten her on the horse. He IS a Crow. Hence the line "you were right all along" as he kills old boy with the hawk.
You must've been speechless for a while with all those cuts at the end lol. I've been looking forwards to this episode for a minute; great reaction as always!
