Got the "Berg" this morning as a matter of fact. Played a round and fell in love with it. I agree everyone should bag one. Thank you again for great tips.
I bag all 3 of these discs. Love the G star Leopard 3 and Buzzz. Still getting used to the Berg but I have been using it for long running putts and forehands.
I've had a leo3 and buzzz in the bag the entire time since I started playing and both molds are close to my heart. A flat top leo3 is a thing of beauty if you can find a run with them. The berg I've only had for a week but so far I'm really liking it and kicking myself for not trying one sooner, I've already got an ace with it.
I too purchased The Berg based on your recommendation. Gotta say, I'm really liking this disc. It's perfect for approach shots you are afraid of overthrowing. When the disc runs out of steam, it just drops out of the air. Reminds me of a helicopter landing. One of the better purchases I've made in a while. .
I have a Halo Leopard 3 and 5 Buzzz’s in various plastics and weights (favorite is the 2023 Halloween Z Glo). I don’t have a Berg, but do have a Jawbreaker, Ion and Judge. Also, although a very niche disc, I’ve really been loving my Innova Alien now that I use it as a long approach/putter rather than a midrange….
I started with a Gstar leopard 3 and loved it. Still do but now I throw a Maverick in it's place. Also I liked a buzz but I throw a warship and emac truth in that range. Never tried a berg but would be open to it. I use a soft plastic tatic for approaches
I've been wanting a buzz for a long time but don't know which one, esp? ? Love to try the berg for a little while thanks to you. Love my leopard 3. Thanks again JD! Keep it coming!
I bought a Berg last month and it has slowly become my favourite approach disc for under 150'. I also use it as a driving putter on a couple holes. Need to pick up a glow version now.
The Leopard is a great disc and it works well for beginners, especially after it gets beaten in. Beginners can have a hard time throwing flat/level and that disc helps to compensate for that release and also slower arm speed. Naturally it is more comfortable to throw with a slight hyzer and beginners tend to do that. The Leopard will flip to flat quickly to help gain more distance and even fly straight without an over exaggerated fade/turn at the end... Me personally, I do not bag one anymore..... As for the Berg, I still haven't gotten one and I think it is time that I did.
Absolutely love the berg, wasn’t a big fan of the leopard3 but I do bag a mvp relay which is very similar but feels a lot better in the hand. Same goes the the buzzz, bag an axiom hex instead.
Great video again and do you remember that bag i talked about before. I got it today and already loving it. Innova SuperHero 2.0 and can you recommend some good innova throwing putters.
Love hearing this Ville! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do ❤️ As for throwing putters, we highly recommend the Aviar3, AviarX3 and the Rhyno! Used to throw the Aviar3 but the Berg replaced that disc. My friend has the Rhyno and loves throwing it at high speeds. Calvin H. also bags it, so that a good sign 😂
Run the Mako3 or even hex instead of the Buzz, rocked the IT for a bit but leopard3 is better imo. Rock the polecat over the berg Got the burg not entirely a fan
So I may have bought a Berg based off of your review and it's inclusion here. Oh and Scott Stokeley recommending it too. Already bag a leopard3 and as my go to midrange is a Compass I don't think I need to add a Buzz as well.
@@JustDisc Haven't had a chance to throw it a lot but I like it. I got it for those approach shots that are just outside my longer putt range but not a distance approach, hard to describe. Threw one into the bottom of the pole the other day which is ideal. other times i've tried to power down on other discs and they have shot past the basket.
@@craigfs81 Good to hear! It's definitely a disc that wants you to commit to the shot. It's weakness is actually just not, not committing. Anyways, I'm sure you'll love it more and more! Good luck out there and keep us posted :)
I like my retro Compass better than the gold one for forehands because it's cheaper and gets to take one for the team at any water hazard, easily beaten in and expendable.
Can't stand the Leopard3. I really liked the Leopard, but the Leopard3 never worked for me. The Buzzz, I have 9 of them. Don't throw any. Just never worked for me, I liked the DGA Rift better, but I recently found the Axiom Hex and that's what I bag for that slot. The Berg is one I've never tried and keep planning on getting one.
Some great ones (especially the Berg, which is indeed money). I'm surprised you mention the EMac Truth over the Truth as an alternative to the Buzzz which has the same flight ratings as a Truth (not the EMac Truth which is 5/5/0/2). The Hex and Claymore are also good alternatives.
Great video again! 🙂 How much different is Innova's rating compared to Trilogy rating and what about flight of Champion versus VIP plastics? I got Westside VIP Seer which is same 7 | 5 | -2 | 1 than Leopard3 so it's close enough or is there really a difference? As a beginner I'm buying all kinds of discs, but I don't want to buy really similar ones because I have so few to begin with. If I decide to stay on one manufacturer, then I'll obviously choose the discs from their lineup. Also I think Lat64 Claymore is close enough to Buzzz (as the only difference is 1 less glide, but ofc again different manufacturer..)? So far I'm using Mako3 much more than Claymore tho. But Berg I definitely need to go grab! Which plastic(s) would you recommend? There seems to be K1 and K1 Soft ones available right now. I assume I'd use it for approaches more than to putts, but if it feels good in hand I might consider putting with it too.. 🤔 Also what do you guys think does it matter if I have really mixed bag of discs or should I stick with as few manufacturers as possible and only have the "exception" discs where there aren't really any alternatives like the Berg for example? I think it might be easier to stick with the same manufacturer to be able to compare flight ratings more accerately between discs. 🤔
Hey Hunter, thanks for the support and the questions! We love to help ❤️ Seeing as you are new to disc golf, I would first start at working on getting used to only a handful of discs. Maybe bring between 5-10 discs per round (and even that’s a lot). Where you are currently, you likely can’t get the correct flight out of most of the discs since it takes some time to build good form. Even I’m still working on improving my backhand form! So for now, stick with what you have until you start noticing you are missing certain shot shapes in your game. As for the Berg, you can’t go wrong with either plastic but we prefer the K1 because of the feel and plastic longevity (we don’t like having to replace discs constantly lol). It’s really just going to come down to what feels good in your hand. As for sticking to one manufacture, it’s really about what works best for the organization of your mind lol. There is no simple answer! I would say however that it’s more possible to carry many different brands as you get better since you develop a better understanding of disc flight. Personally, I don’t like to deviate too much from a few brands unless a disc is really good (hence the berg), but that’s probably because of my ADHD 😆
@@JustDisc Thanks for the reply! ❤️ I got the basics and I do get my midranges to fly as intended most of the time, except I often mistake the height and throw too low grass cutters.. 😅 That's maybe because I pay attention to nose angle maybe "too much" to keep that in right angle. Fairways I often overturn when I try throw them "too hard" to get more distance.. My bag has only 8 discs atm (4 fairways, 2 midranges, 2 putters) but I throw 6 of them much more than the others and I think I'd want maybe 2 "throwing putters" since I use my current putters only for really short approaches and putts. Maybe also 1 understable distance driver could be worth it to get, idk.. 🤔 (My max distances are around 80-90m with both forehand and backhand.) This sport is just so much fun I always want to go shop for more discs. 😆😆
Wow a leopard 3. I must have a dud. Lol When I first started playing disc golf I almost gave up cause I couldn’t get the leopard to do anything. (Probably me) I bought a leopard3 and that was worse. I am ambidextrous I can throw a disc in either hand back hand or forehand equally pretty far but my leopard3 just doesn’t want to fly. Great video as always
I love my Leopard3's. Also, I guessed Judge, Mako3 and Trace. Kinda forgot about the beginner friendly part with the Trace 🤣 I should have said Leopard3! I bag 2 of them 🤣

We are so glad you love it Poleshark! It truly is a must-get disc for approaching the basket 🙌
I bag all 3 of these discs. Love the G star Leopard 3 and Buzzz. Still getting used to the Berg but I have been using it for long running putts and forehands.
It does take some getting used to, but once you do, there is no better approach disc 👌
LOVE my Berg! I'm a sharpshooter with it!
Love the Buzzz!
I LOVE my Buzzz's. MVP Hex is a great alternate as it's the same flight numbers but a glide of 5 instead of 4.
I've had a leo3 and buzzz in the bag the entire time since I started playing and both molds are close to my heart. A flat top leo3 is a thing of beauty if you can find a run with them.

It’s too good of a disc! I gave my father one today on the course and he’s starting to fall in love with it as well!
Thank you. Wonderful explanation!
Love this list! I bag 2 of them and have all 3!
I have recently been throwing the Clash Soda, and I think it out-Leopard3's the Leopard3. Strong recommend, especially since you like the Berry.
The Soda is great as well, very similar to the Leopard3. Both amazing discs!
Dig it man, Ill be on the search to find them.
Let us know what you think!
Buzzz is the best feeling disc in the world IMO. Just so easy to throw
Haven’t held a Berg but the Emac Truth and Leopard3 were great choices! Always enjoy the content you guys created
Thanks Evan! We definitely recommend trying a Berg, you won’t want to approach with anything else 😆
You can't go wrong with the Buzzz and the Leopard 3. My favorite flick approach disc is the Rat. Another great video 👍
I have a Rat that one of my subscribers (Philippe) bought me. It's a great disc that can fly straight but still have a trusty fade finish!
Great choices. If mixed starter sets were a thing, this would be the best one. Three discs which can live in your bag as long as you play.
It would definitely be a solid starter set! We can dream I guess lol
Had to pause Seppo Paju's new video because of this notification
May have to get a Berg myself. Have ALWAYS loved the Buzzzz, have about 5 of them....

Another good video… I need a Berg in my bag. No live thumb track discs. No Firebird on the list ;) maybe I just love that disc to much lol
The Firebird is a great disc, but very much not a beginner disc 😂
I would put it on the list, but the 3 discs are for all skill levels, and we just can't recommend a Firebird to a beginner :P
@@JustDisc I totally agree! I was just trying to be funny, because firebird is my go to. Lol.
Will love to see you review the Løft putter from Denmark, almost same as the Berg,
Hopefully we’ll get the chance!
Berg FTW!
The bergs dye very nicely as well but they can fade quickly
The signal and river are my go to's
I have all three in my bag rn!
the big z buzz ss is my fav buzz. seems to have more glide than a regular buzz, and seasons like a fine wine.
I bag multiple buzzz’s and a leopard3. I’ve never really considered a Berg.
Just get it. That's all we have to say. lol. There is a reason we put so much time into our Berg review! 😎 ruclips.net/video/3Ac4d7pX7cU/видео.html
I think the Hydrogen from Løft disc would be an alternative to the Berg. Maybe the Berg feels a little bit more aggressive.
Have you ever tried it? Once would assume it doesn't have the high-speed stability like the Berg does
Great choices. I bag all three 🙌
