Man you don't know how much you made my day with this upload!! Not only that but seeing my favorite game at number one too!! It would've been a dream come true if my favorite game came to my favorite console man...
Hearing that means more than you know man! I REALLY wish Power Stone 2 (and even the first game) came to the GameCube! It was literally perfect to port over to it, and would've been a big hit for the console I'd think! Really glad you enjoyed the video!!
MVSC2 would've been really fun to have on the GameCube. I remember playing the game at my local bowling alley back in the early 2000's, and it was lots of fun.
The Power Stone series is totally the reason I bought a Dreamcast back then. Now I need to hook up the ol Dreamcast and spend the rest of the day playing it. Absolutely awesome video!
Right on! Power Stone really was a knockout franchise for the Dreamcast, and it's a shame nothing else has been done with it really. Haha glad you're now in the spirit to hook up the Dreamcast and spend the day playing it! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Shenmue I & II are the most obvious ones, but those would have require four or more mini-DVD discs per game to put them on the GameCube. Power Stones 1 & 2 also would have gotten a lot more exposure (and wouldn't be so ridiculously expensive) and would have been right at home alongside Super Smash Bros Melee on the GameCube.
Yeah, Shenmue I thought about, but felt it wouldn't have been done the proper way on the GameCube (due to multiple disc and disc space in general for the console format). 100% agree Power Stone would've garnered even more exposure through the GameCube if ported there! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Great memories! The Dreamcast will always be special to me as it was the first console I could afford and buy as a teen, and played a couple of the titles listed, btw, nice list! Please continue the Dreamcast videos, including the games that were released on both consoles (with the NGC) and their comparison or such. 👍🏼
That's awesome that it was your first console to buy yourself! I always feel like that makes for a memorable aspect when looking back at your gaming journey. Glad you really enjoyed the list of games highlighted here! Due to the DC library, I may do a follow up episode to this maybe highlighting more games that I wish released on the GameCube. I actually am planning to do an episode also covering every Dreamcast game that was ported to the GameCube! Thanks again for checking out the video, and for the feedback as well!
I recently had my Dreamcast laser die but I ended up learning about a GDEMU. A negative into a positive and now I can play the complete Dreamcast collection. Thank you for the video going to try these games out.
Sorry to hear that man! For what it's worth, I was originally trying to do this episode back in May, but my laser lens went on mine also, and had to acquire a new one (shoutout to @Pacmancase helping provide me a replacement). Moving forward though, I am looking to mod the one with the burnt laser lens to have the GDEMU as well so that I can experience more of the library without fear of the laser lens burning out again at some point. Glad you enjoyed the video, and hope you enjoy some of the recommendations here!
Bro, Spawn in the Demon’s Hand is easily one of the best Hidden Gems on the Dreamcast from what I heard and is one that I’m hoping to find soon. Not to mention, Power Stone 1 & 2 are awesome Fighting Games that I’m hoping to find soon. For me, If I had the game, A Dreamcast game I wish came to GameCube would easily be Cannon Spike which is from what I heard: a awesome 3D Style Run n Gun from the Arcade. Either way Great Episode as always GameCube Galaxy.
Spawn In the Demon’s Hand really is a blast, but REALLY wish it wasn’t playable only with the D-Pad lol. Power Stone 1 & 2 are fantastic games for sure too. Cannon Spike is another great pick I wish got ported to the GameCube, as it’s a shame that game never got as much attention by the end of the Dreamcast’s lifecycle. Glad you enjoyed the episode man, and greatly appreciate you checking it out and sharing your thoughts!
Dude, you’d laugh hysterically playing that game! Next time we hang out, I am DEFINITELY having us co-op it haha! Thanks for checking out the video man, and glad you enjoyed it!
4 Wheel Thunder really is a fun time! I remember when I first got my own Dreamcast in 2016, it came with the bundle I nabbed and didn’t even know it existed. Glad you agree the other titles deserved a second chance as well! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Dreamcast will always be in my top consoles of all time for its innovation and ecosystem. And the Gamecube thankfully got many Dreamcast ports 🙌🏽such as my treasured RE collection and many other titles. From this lot of titles, I would have liked to check out Zombie Apocalypse as a Streets of Rage esque zombie beat’em up😌. Great video.
The Dreamcast truly was WAY ahead of its time! Thankfully the GameCube did indeed get some BANGER titles ported from the Dreamcast! Zombie Revenge is a really fun one, and HIGHLY recommend picking that one up if you haven't yet man! Thanks again for checking out the video, and glad you enjoyed it!
I think Sonic Shuffle could've been great for the Gamecube, or at least a successor of some type. If they used the GBA link cables to give each player their own screen, with the Card mechanics and even unique minigames that utilize everyone having their own screen--with even online play for those without all the hardware--this really could've shown off what the Link Cable could've done.
Crazy just how many Dreamcast games are still stuck on that amazing console. So many would've felt right at home on the Cube. Chu Chu Rocket is another that I feel would have been great on the Cube as well. Zombies Revenge is so dang good having just picked it up recently. I had no idea a Castlevania game was being developed for the DC, I only wish it actually came out because it looks like a higher resolution version of Castlevania 64. These were all excellent picks Marcello! Another awesome topic!
Right?! Oh man, Chu Chu Rocket is so darn good too! I have the GBA version and played it like crazy! Glad to hear you've played Zombie Revenge also! Yeah, Castlevania Resurrection I remember in so many gaming magazines back in the day, but stinks it was never completed. I can see the comparison to it being like Castlevania 64 visually, and I will always stand on the hill that Castlevania 64 was a damn awesome game that doesn't deserve the hate it got. Glad you enjoyed the video man!!
Solid List! I remember my brother and I sinking endless hours in Power Stone 2, Spawn: In The Demon’s Hand and Dynamite Cop when we first got our Dreamcast near the end if its lifespan (that last fight in Dynamite Cop where you need to beat crap out of each other because there can only be one who gets the reward was funny AF). There’s 3 games in particular I wish got a Gamecube port (heck a port to anywhere at that point): Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram Giga Wing 2 And Tech Romancer
Thank you man! That sounds like an awesome memory you had with your brother, and some great games to go along with it! That part in Dynamite Cop was hilarious, and once again highlights how funny that game is from start to finish 🤣. Virtual On: Oratorio Tangran is a great game too, as is Giga Wing 2! Tech Romancer I never played, but is one I’ll check out! Thanks for checking out the video!
Since I associate snowboarding with you, Xtreme Sports makes perfect sense. That's pretty neat that there is more than just snowboarding involved in the game. I feel like that niche sports title is dead, and it would be cool if someone could bring it back successfully. 4 Wheel Thunder looks like one that I'd love. It's not monster trucks, but those trucks look fast! I really dig the character artwork for Dynamite Cop, it looks like a solid beat 'em up. Even better it doesn't take itself seriously. I've seen some other coverage on Spawn for the Dreamcast and it makes me want to try it out even though I'm not big into superheroes. Although I don't think I'd like that timer mechanic. Ohhh Zombie Revenge looks dope!! Power Stone 2 is one that I've actually beaten and reviewed. The Power Stone series is solid all around but I liked that the sequel had mini boss fights. It's a lot of fun both in single player and co-op mode. This was an awesome list. I'm thankful that I have my Dreamcast modded to play any of these and there's a few that I've added on my list to play soon. Great video buddy!
Haha yeah, I am the “extreme sports aficionado” in a way lol. 4 Wheel Thunder is definitely one I think you’d like! Dynamite Cop is another you’d enjoy (and very short, takes about 30+ minutes to beat if you don’t do Game Over lol). Spawn is a good one, and worth checking out, as it’s a unique arcade game. Zombie Revenge is sweet, and can’t recommend it enough! Controls take some getting used to, but still worth it! I loved the Power Stone series, and really can’t wait to see what Capcom does with the series based on the leaked release date info (if they move forward with it lol). Thanks for checking out the video man!
This was an awesome video with heavy bangers. I love the Dreamcast as it was part of my introduction to video games along with others. One of the most underrated consoles to date in my opinion. And I wish a lot titles came to the game cube especially Jet Grind Radio rather then it going to the original Xbox. But all in all great work as always My friend !
Thank you man! The Dreamcast really was an awesome console, and heavily underrated. Jet Grind Radio would’ve definitely suited the GameCube more than the Xbox for sure in my opinion 👍. Glad you really enjoyed the video man!!
I really wished KOF 2002 hit the GameCube. The 2000/2001 bundle wouldn't make sense considering the time the games came out, but the 2002/2003 bundle would've been the one to go for. However, it's far too late. Eventually, SNK re-released KOF '94-'98 on the Wii physically and digitally, then '99 as a Virtual Console exclusive. No more KOFs got Wii ports after, but 2000-2003 eventually made their way to the Switch.
KOF 2002 would've been a nice addition to the GC library as well! Glad to see it finally get brought back on Switch! Thanks for checking out the video!
4:48 I don't think its texture warping . Its very quick but look at the terrain on the left below . The entire geometry is changing based on your distance and makes you feel its the texture but is in fact the geometry underneath . They are probably using some kind of distance displacement algorithm , voxels for the terrain or some very clever shader that has depth (similar to today's parallax occlusion mapping but much simpler) . Something really interesting (tech wise ) is happening here .
Very well said. It really is the entire geometry that is changing, and this is the only game I’ve ever seen do that as a way to ensure steady performance. The only other game that came to mind for me that does this is Excite Truck on the Wii, but that’s because you actually hit icons that change the formation of the track in front of you. Like you said though, it is interesting from a tech perspective to think what they did to have the game run as best as possible at the time. Thanks for checking out the video man!
This is a fantastic list! I'm a big fan of Dynamite Cop and that would have been so great on the GC. I've never tried that Spawn game but it looks awesome and now you've got me wanting to try it out. Excellent work as always!
Thank you man! Glad you also loved Dynamite Cop! Spawn is definitely a hidden gem for the console and worth checking out if you can! Glad you enjoyed the video man! P.S. - Apologies I'm so behind on your videos! I have so many queued to "watch later" and look forward to binging what I've missed!
@@GameCubeGalaxy That's great to know for Spawn! I've always skipped over that one when seeing it on a list. Haha no worries buddy! I'm so behind on videos too that it's becoming a problem lol.
This is a great list! There are certain titles, like Jet Grind and Power Stone, that just feel like they would've thrived on the GameCube. For me personally, considering that we have Skies of Arcadia and Phantasy Star Online, it feels criminal that we didn't get Shenmue. Those are probably my three favorite DC titles. I agree that MvC2 also feels like a weird omission. Also not dreamcast related, but why didn't we get Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance or Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2???😊
Glad you agree on some of the picks! Yeah, Shenmue I was considering on my list, but considering the multiple discs it was on, I'm not sure if it would've fit as a 2-disc GameCube port. Would've been awesome to see though! MvC2 is such an odd omission for sure. While the GameCube did get MK Deadly Alliance (which I actually just reviewed a few weeks ago on the channel), I think you were referring to its sequel, MK Deception :P. Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 was another that skipped the GC for some reason sadly...Thanks for checking out the video man!!
Great list of games! Games that I think would have benefited from being ported to the GC are: Evolution 1 and 2, Record of Lodoss War and Grandia 2. Maybe those series would have had a longer life if they had been ported on a Nintendo console! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks, Dan! I believe Evolution 1&2 were ported as “Evolution Worlds” for the GameCube (if I recall correctly lol). Record of the Lodoss War I’ve heard great things about, as well as Grandia 2! Agreed, that these series could’ve had longer lifespan if on the GameCube! Glad you enjoyed the video man!
Neat touch using the Dreamcast start sound rather than the GameCube’s for this episode! Came out great as always, have the both of these consoles hooked up via VGA and component respectively
Thanks for noticing that! I try to do easter eggs like that within my videos...thinking of it now, I should do a retrospective video on all the easter eggs I've incorporated throughout my episodes lol. Glad you really enjoyed the episode!
@@GameCubeGalaxy It’d be definitely cool for all the ones viewers may have missed, especially in videogames Easter Eggs have always felt like neat little scavenger hunts left to show that the studio behind a game had a personalistic charm by those on the team that many modern triple A’s nowadays lack due to being such massive projects. Perhaps if applicable, mention the ones in past episodes that might not be getting as many views anymore to drive traction back to those videos! Not to mention it’d put others, just like me, on the hunt for any that appear in current and even future episodes for that matter. I’d be there to support you on such a video idea if you decide to do it!
I knew it was gunna be a good video but hot diggity damn it was incredible! The transitions r smooth, the mixing is fantastic and the entire video is great from beginning to end!!! Keep kicking ass brother! Can’t wait for the next one! ☝️🤘🔥
Super awesome video, GameCube Galaxy. I would have love and wish for Project Justice and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 to be on the GameCube. I also agree with you on the pick of Power Stone 2. Keep up the awesome content 🤠👍🏼
I knew I have to slam on the Thumbs Up once I heard about MVC2! I don't see why they couldn't get MVC2 to work on GameCube considering it's on PS2 and Xbox. For me it's Street Fighter games, Rayman 2, MDK 2, Space Channel 5 and KOF games.
Haha right on! Yeah, it’s a shame that Capcom didn’t bring MvC2 to the GameCube at all. Great picks on your end as well that would’ve been great fits on the GC! Thanks again for checking out the video man!
It always weirded me out that Rayman 2 is never ported Xbox or GameCube as Arena featured characters that appeared from 2 and never came back. Well... unless you count Rayman 3 on GBA (Which was gonna be a GBA port of Rayman 2, but changed into 3 later in development) and the cameo in the same game's more well-known console and PC version.@@GameCubeGalaxy
@@GameCubeGalaxy excellent list have to agree not having Power Stone 1 & 2 on the GameCube is a huge miss. Jet Set Radio would have been perfect too. My pick would have to be Cannon Spike I feel the GC controller would lend itself perfectly for it.
Thanks man! Yeah, Power Stone skipping the GameCube was a missed opportunity for sure! Ooo Cannon Spike would be a great pick too! Thanks again for checking out the video, and glad you enjoyed it!
Very fun video! I was happy sonic adventure got ported to GameCube but I actually prefer the Dreamcast version. Glad to see you picked Dynamite cop game is so crazy but very fun
Thanks man! It’s interesting, as I’ve heard people say they prefer the DC version over the GC port, I need to look more into the differences (aside from the obvious content differences). Dynamite Cop is WILD lol! Thanks again for checking out the video man!
Great! Now there's a few Dreamcast games for me to pick up based on recommendations from you. I still need to figure out how to fit some of these games in my backlog into my gaming schedule!
Haha glad I can help with more recommendations for you! Figuring out time to go through a backlog is legit challenging, as I still struggle with that lol. Thanks for checking out the video man!
100% agreed! I’m very curious to what awaits for Power Stone in the next 1-2 years based on the Capcom leaked document from months ago. Thanks for checking out the video man!
This might be nit picking but you can play 3 Castlevania gba games on the gamecube using the gameboy player, so technically the gamecube didn't 'miss out' on Castlevania games.
In some ways, yes, technically the GBA Castlevania games were playable on GameCube (which were awesome)! I meant it more as there was no Castlevania game made for the GameCube specifically, or for 6th gen hardware in general that was for the GameCube lol. But believe me, I was also very happy being able to play the GBA Castlevania games on the Game Boy Player! 👍 Thanks for checking out the video man!
Some good stuff. DC had some great games. Dynamite cop is a great game. B movie style fun. A GC port with some extras would have been great. Maybe some GBA link support. Zombie Revenge is a tough but solid game. Boolets Boolets! Still haven't beat it but I've made it to the house. Demolition Racer No Exit would have been another good one for the GC and the boost of power. If they could work in 4 player Demolition mode even better.
The Dreamcast really did have some great games. Dynamite Cop is a trip to experience, and ensures for a ton of laughter. Ooo, GBA link support would've been neat if a GC port happened. Zombie Revenge is tough, but the "boolets" line always has me chuckling. Demolition Racer No Exit is one I have, but didn't put much time in yet. I'll have to play that one a bit more, but sounds like a good one that could've gotten the enhanced port treatment! Thanks again for checking out the video man, especially you being a massive SEGA fan!
Big Sega fan but the Gamecube is my favorite Nintendo system. I removed wall paper from a friends kitchen and used the money from that to pick up the system and some games from ebay back in the day. Luigi's Mansion being a favorite and why I wanted a GC.
@@Owazrim that’s actually a really cool story on how you got your GC, and that it’s your favorite Nintendo console! Luigi’s Mansion was such an awesome game still to this day 👍.
I wish GTA 3 released on GC, then it wouldn't been way more successful in its time. Edit: And yes, I know this was about DC games, I'm just still salty the GC did so poorly overall that gen 😅
Oh man, I wish GTA 3 hit the GameCube as well! I actually mention that in my "Top 10 PS2 Games I WISH Released on GameCube" episode (linked below if interested)! Don't sweat it, I'm still bummed the GC didn't fare better back then too. Nowadays though, I think it would've done FAR better. Thanks for checking out the video! ruclips.net/video/nSQ9aEydOA4/видео.htmlsi=hpbKYnOtLr1S3bSX
Haha so for some reason, it’s called Jet Grind Radio in North America, but Jet Set Radio everywhere else. When the sequel released on Xbox though, it was corrected to be Jet “Set” Radio Future. Weird, right? Thanks for checking out the video!
Indeed I am! I occasionally like to dabble in ways to incorporate other platforms around this era, but in a way that could be relatable to the GameCube 👍. I did one for PS2 games I wish released on GameCube earlier this year, and felt it’s a fun way to reminisce about games on other platforms that would’ve been cool to see on the GameCube. Thanks for checking out the video!
Ah yes, "Enhanced"... Like Sonic Adventure DX with more polygons on characters but worse textures and missing lightning effects? Or like Skies of Arcadia with downgraded music and colorbanding/texture outlining galore... Don't get me wrong, the GameCube was a lot more powerful but most Dreamcast conversions were with added content but less technical quality. Seems like the conversation of assets to the different hardware wasn't that easy...
It’s interesting as I’ve never really sat down to compare the Dreamcast versions of the GameCube ports. That is an episode I want to do one day. Interesting points to note man! Thanks for checking out the video!
Apparently Marvel vs Capcom 2 skip the cube it’s because apparently capcom said the GameCube controller didn’t work very well for the fighting game which it’s a lame excuse for not porting the game to the GameCube cause the Xbox got it which had the Duke at the time u are telling me the GameCube controller it’s worse than the Duke cmon capcom
I had a feeling it had to do with the controller, but like you said, they released MvC2 on the Xbox with the Duke controller…which was an abomination of a controller layout 🤣. And even like I said, Capcom released Capcom vs SNK 2:EO on the GameCube and plays fine honestly. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Lol! I knew I'd upset someone with that statement, but I had to get that off my chest and be honest! It just never fit the game at all. Now, MvC3 and UMvC3...THOSE have BANGER soundtracks that fit much better! That being said, I fully respect if you loved MvC2's OST! Thanks for checking out the video!
Why would Sega waste their time with the Gamecube whrn the Xbox is way more powerful machine thst actually uses the DVD format, instead of those useless gamecube discs.
I mean, typically Sega published games tend to sell better on Nintendo platforms. Xbox might've been a more "powerful machine", but doesn't mean anything. Games like Star Wars Rogue Leader looked infinitely better than anything on the Xbox at launch and was on a small 1.4 GB optical disc, and games like Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 4 showcased the console was more than capable visually. Just saying lol. Thanks for checking out the video though!

Nice list 👍🏻 enjoyed the video
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed the list of games highlighted here, as well as the video in general! Appreciate the support!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Oh I didn't know about Evolution Worlds! Well I guess it's another game going on the wishlist, thanks!
@@DanofWar101 sure thing man!
@@DanofWar101It cuts out a lot from the Dreamcast games to fit on the GameCube.
Haha thank you man! That truly means a lot!!
I would've loved to see HOTD2 (With unlockable HOTD1) and Virtua Cop 1/2 on Gamecube along with the light gun with it was still new at the time
That would've been amazing to see! I wish the GameCube had some light gun support! Thanks for checking out the video!
Super awesome video, GameCube Galaxy. I would have love and wish for Project Justice and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 to be on the GameCube. I also agree with you on the pick of Power Stone 2. Keep up the awesome content 🤠👍🏼
Thank you man! Oh man, those would've been awesome to see on the GC as well! Glad you agree about Power Stone 2 also!! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Have not watched but hitting that like keep up the awesome content.
Much appreciated man! Hope you enjoy the video when you can check it out!
Great video! Love me some powerstone 1-2 Revolt Quake III Unreal tournament San Francisco rush 2049 and ooga booga
Thank you man! Glad you really enjoyed the video!
Playing as Cube on GameCube would be funny.😂
Power Stone series. I think it was very cool and would have been great on the Gamecube/Xbox/etc.
100% agreed! I’m very curious to what awaits for Power Stone in the next 1-2 years based on the Capcom leaked document from months ago. Thanks for checking out the video man!
I’m amaze power stone didn’t appear on the GameCube. With the 4 controller port
@@candypopcornsweetarecool2847 right?? I felt like that was the most bizarre omission to bring to the GameCube! Thanks for checking out the video!
your channel is just amazing
Thank you! That truly means a lot, and greatly appreciate the awesome compliment! 🙏🏻
Thanks for checking out the video man!
Nice picks Marcello!😊
Thank you, Mark! Glad you enjoyed!
Righteous!
Thanks for checking out the video! Hope you enjoyed!

Marvel vs Capcom is so good
It really was! Thanks for checking out the video man!
At least you can play the GBA version of JGR on the GameCube with the game boy player.
Daytona usa should have been a easy port, that should have been a no brainer
Oh it 100% should have! I would've bought that on launch day if it happened! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Seaman would have been great because the gamecube also had a microphone peripheral that only like 3 or 4 games used.
Oh that's a good pick! You're right, the microphone would've been perfect for that! Thanks for checking out the video, and sharing a pick of yours!
MvC 1 > MvC2 ALL DAYYYYY
Naw, you're crazy lol..
@@drekkey Hahaha I hear that a lot! 🤣 🤣 😉
Wait its Jet Set Radio and not Jet Grind Radio wtf effect Mandela ??
Haha so for some reason, it’s called Jet Grind Radio in North America, but Jet Set Radio everywhere else. When the sequel released on Xbox though, it was corrected to be Jet “Set” Radio Future. Weird, right? Thanks for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy ok thanks!
Sonic Shuffle
That would've been a great addition to the GameCube as well! Thanks for checking out the video man!
You are a GameCube RUclipsr
MVC2 OST is one of the greatest ever created for a fighting! Hold this L!
Dude, GREAT list and well put together edit!!! I enjoyed it so much, it might *Spawn* a similar idea for me. 😈 😈 😜
Thank you man! And nice pun for an idea haha! Greatly appreciate you checking out the video man!
