I'm gonna rank the winners by section. Best tenors: Army (sorry but the air force tenors were a little sloppy) Best Snare: Air Force (Very Clean and got technique) Best Bass: Air Force (Do i need to elaborate... Those splits were very good) Best Cymbals: Army (The solo cymbal had very good technique and executed clean chokes) Army gets bonus for there "ARMY!" Tuba line I'm gonna have to give it to Air Force
+Darth mall Oh, well I just love to see women in predominantly male roles, like women who are firefighters, etc. Drummers and drum core type things are usually male oriented. I just like to see some diversity. I dunno.
No, but the overwhelming odds are that they aren't shooting video, at least for these purposes. So I ask you the same. How can you tell when someone is running drills versus when they are shooting a video?
I find it extremely interesting that these drumelines are of two of the most precise military groups in the U.S. and the world. Army can't even play clean sixteenth notes. "3:04" Very poor representation of the military precision needed to perform for the public. Props to Air Force. They did their homework.
For the record, these are cadets who play in their respective academy bands on top of tons of other duties. Both services have other bands that are solely dedicated to working on musical skill and performance.
This was so cool...I loved all of these beats and cadences..This was so sick..but the ducky part was how the airforce outnumbered the army..dang...oh well its still cool!

i agree
Army: "you know swing?"
Air Force:: "Swing it!"
All: "Here We Go" love this ending
Agreed. :)
Who doesn't know swing it and is in drumline? Fun but short.
Anyone else completely blown away by those bass runs at 4:26?
Love the ending where the play together.
Okay, I went from listening to taiko drums to drumline battles
lol the dude with the cymbals at 9:00
dude was getting it on....lol
I know right?!
I've watched that part like a dozen times just to see that dude tearing up the cymbals...:-D :-D
Pedo Bear funny
Army never changed their rhythm, Air Force did this as regular intervals, I think the win has to be Air Force, in my opinion.
The Air Force's snares definitely sound more tight. The tuning and also the unison of the players.
The guys in the back dancing with the ARMY are amazing lol
Damn that was good my favorite part was when they combined at the end but air force did win this by far!
the best thing about these videos is that they battle each other then jam together at the end.
8:42 is my favorite part. I don't know how many times I come back to this video. lol
oh sousaphones...when wont you be weird...
Female bass drummer! Hell yeah!
+Darth mall Oh, well I just love to see women in predominantly male roles, like women who are firefighters, etc. Drummers and drum core type things are usually male oriented. I just like to see some diversity. I dunno.
+BCreativelol tbh its fun being the only girl in bass line (there's two girls on snare at my school)
yeah but she got first bass drum
?
female fourth bass player here! and I'm only 14, doesn't mean much but it's our heaviest drum and I'm like 5'5 😂😅
The Army had the best Sousaphone moves xDD
I know. I myself couldn't stop laughing XD
Rene E.K p
Anthony Murray o
Rene E.K 'lp
CHANDAN GAJJAR Dafuq is wrong with you?
the army tubas in the back cracked me up
Thanks for carrying on the drumline battle tradition!
AF 10 times better
They were both amazing
Football? I don’t know what that is? I come for this!
Combine as one. MILITARY DRUMLINE!
vs russia
the people in the drumlines should get a shirt saying "I fought in the Army vs. Air Force Drumline Battle of 2015"
7 years later, and I’m still here for 8:59 😂
That dude is just beating those cymbals. I really do hope he didn't damage them
Gotta love the black cymbal player at the end 😂😂😂😂
No, but the overwhelming odds are that they aren't shooting video, at least for these purposes. So I ask you the same. How can you tell when someone is running drills versus when they are shooting a video?
Air Force
Love how theres that one random cheerleader...haha.
and the one airman who thinks he is.
Ok if you are a tuba in a band you guys i know just watched the army sousaphones 😍😍
lol same. American Sousa thunder
Ohhh those tubas in the back of the second army song. That was great dancing
Air Force's second beat was pretty fucking good.
After spending the last hour watching WGI videos, that was painful.
I'm a drummer so the entire video I was fangirling the entire time. And I think the army did the best
needs more cowbell...
I see you in the Air Force line, what have you been up to since you graduated?
What made this, to me, was when both came together to make it sound better.
Love how the AF is rocking the Top Gun shades
hahahaha I love the guy head banging on 5th bass drum, air force side xD
At what point of the video?
Daniel Davila at about 2:18
I hope the Army doesn't keep their barracks as dirty as they keep their beats.
Is that first cadence famous? Sorry if I sound ignorant but I'm curious because our drum line uses it too

!I agree!

lol
at the end, that cadence that they were playing, my school uses it! GO LEGACY!!! ROSE PARADE 2015!!
Great to see the Sousa line never changes
...... what's with the whole "Weekend and Bernie's" dance thing the Army guys in the back had going on?
I really want to know what the second cadence was that the army did I loved that one it was cool
Air Force hands down.
Air Force: 1
Army: 0.5

There is no battle between units. Together we kick ass anytime anywhere.
Look at army's TUBAS standing upright with letters on their tubas that say ARMY!
This was so cool...I loved all of these beats and cadences..This was so sick..but the ducky part was how the airforce outnumbered the army..dang...oh well its still cool!
very good greetings from Venezuela
Both were good but in comparison to the Army, the Air Force was more technical and a bit more fluent. Hooah for the Air Force!
Chairforce abuncha cymbalists. I march to the beat of a different drummer, hooah!
gwmerr Air Force still won, Hooah!
gwmerr I march to the beat of an INDIFFERENT drummer! ;-P
Dude! You panned that camera way too fast bro! This ain't no fuckin' Blair Witch Project!!
Give me a headache dawg!
Air Force FTW!! and just so no one gets the wrong idea, i respect all branches of the military equally.
Only the Army and Air Force would team up and go stupid chanting WEAK NAVY! Love it.
The first beat that the army played was sick!!
I love drumlins battle I want to down load them on my phone now
love that cheerleader that was jammin out on the Air Force side! Awesome on both sides!
Who won the football game though?
omg they were both really good!
Go Air Force.
+NLDT STUDIOS airforce needed more cowbell
+Jackson Bellew Haha He posted that in the Band Prank video.

Lol you still have that picture from like 8 years ago?
Love them Sousaphones..............
if any of these young men and women go off to war I hope they all come home alive..
If any of these? I hope you mean ALL of the army and air force and marines, etc
i miss this hype from marching season
Ayee. Thats airforce academy field. We marched quarter finals there lastyear
Does anybody know how the song at 9:30 is called?
Both are Amazing!!!
Both good but Airforce took this one. Army was too dirty, and I wonder why 4 snares instead of 3 or 5 so you can have a center...
man air force was puting it on this rip
3:41 That drop tho
All about Air Force drumlins though them basses
does anyone know where i can find squid?
i would love for me and some friends to play that
+I DO QUACKSCOPE no im talking about the one at like 8:44
Those AF uniforms are dope.
Whats the last number they did called?
Holy crap. Is that Sharon from Battlestar Galactica on the Navy's first bass?!
So, I'm biased toward the USAF, but that was too cool ~ both sides kicked it!
The Chair force has nothing but time, so they better win a drum line battle...
Yeah I'm in the military, I play drums for the airforce, I'm basically a badass. hah
Go Blue! Air Force nailed it!!!
holy crap the end gave me goosebumps
what was the name of the second to last cadence
I personally liked the Air Force better. They really had that marching band style.
GOOD JOB ON THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm Army but I have to agree, Air Force nailed it this time.
9:00 lmfao that guy is going ham!!!
What are the cadence names that they played together?

That girl with the bass drum for the Air Force can get it!
What are they playing at 9:30?
